Total Gaming Esports disqualified from Free Fire City Open 2021

Recently, Garena the publisher of Free Fire announced the first-ever national-level tournament Free Fire City Open 2021 (FFCO) for the players around the region.

A total of 8 cities will be featured in the event, through which the players could register for the event. The cities are as follows -Ahemdabad, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Vishakhapatnam. FFOC has a massive prize pool of 60,00,000 INR.

Fozy Ajay and Mafia Bala violated the competitive ruling

Free Fire Esports India took their official Facebook page to announce the list of defaulter teams and players that got disqualified from the event. After, the top 3000 teams were shortlisted from the Free Fire City Open FFC Mode. Garena began with a more in-depth verification process according to the competitive ruling.

The investigation found that two players from Total Gaming Esports – TGFozyBhai and TGBala participated in the Free Fire City Open FFC Mode multiple times. Both the players were part of teams Total Gaming Delhi and FOMZYvai. As a result, both teams and players were disqualified from FFCO due to the violations of the Free Fire competitive ruling.

This news came as a shock for all the Indian Free Fire gaming community. As Total Gaming Esports has been one of the leading esports teams from India and was one of the major contenders for wining FFCO. 

Besides this, the investigation also revealed that several teams submitted details of the players that are currently serving the ban from esports tournaments. Leading to their disqualification from the event.

More teams disqualified for different reasons

Besides the two teams getting disqualified from the event. LVL Amaterasu blocked the admins of the organizers during the verification process. Each player ought to verify the ownership of their accounts. Which couldn’t be done with LVL Amaterasu. Resulting in the team’s disqualification. Here is the list of teams that got disqualified due to the competitive ruling –

  2. Pvs Gaming (Banned player in the team)
  3. NO_MERCY… (Banned player in the team)
  4. TGB—ARMY (Banned player in the team)
  5. unstoppable???? (Banned player in the team)

  7. FOMZYvai (Multiple signups)
  8. TG-Delhi. (Multiple signups)
  9. LVL-AMATERASU (Failure to verify account ownership)

The national finals are set to take place on Independence Day of India, 15th August 2021 where the top 12 teams will battle for a prize pool of ₹60,00,000 INR.

“CS is f**king easy” – Shroud explains why Valorant is more stressful than CSGO

The title of the greatest modern-day competitive shooter has sparked debates between the communities of CSGO and Valorant for quite a while.

While we can’t provide you with a conclusive answer on which game is superior, popular Twitch streamer Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek seems to have expressed his opinion on it.

During a recent twitch stream, when a fan claimed in the chat that Valorant makes players “rage more than CS,” the 26-year-old proceeded to explain the reason behind it.

“Because CS is f**king easy,” Shroud said. “This sh*t is stressful.”

He further said, “Everyone’s a goddamn king in this game. In CS not everyone’s a king.”

Shroud can be seen regularly streaming Valorant on his Twitch channel. The former CSGO pro hasn’t refrained from expressing his opinions on both the titles in the past, and has also pointed out flaws each game has.

PMPL Arabia 2021 Super Weekend Week 1 Day 1: Match Recap, Overall Standings, Results

The first day of the PMPL Arabia week 1 supper weekend concluded today. Falcons Esports are leading the table with 34 kills and 83 points at the end of the first day, followed by Alpha Legends with 32 kills and 78 points. Falcons Esports was the only team to get two chicken dinners in a day. Whereas, Alpha Legends was the most consistent performing team of the day. NASR Esport stands at the third position on the leaderboards with 30 kills.

SUDOR Esports couldn’t do much on the first day and managed to secure only 10 points. Fanatic zombies, FATE Esports, Galaxy Racers, and The Snipers were not seen on day 1 as they couldn’t qualify for the Super weekend stage.

PMPL Arabia 2021: Super Weekend Week 1 Day 1 Match Wise Summary

MATCH 1

The first match of the Super weekend began with the top 16 teams that qualified through the weekday stage. Flare Royal was the first team to get eliminated from the map. Falcons Esports secured the first chicken dinner of the day with 7 kills. Rico Infinity Team (9 kills) and Gunz Esport (8 kills) finished at the second and third spots on the leaderboard.

MATCH 2

Alpha Legends were the winners of super weekend match 2 and got 8 kills. The second map was played on Miramar, ARAB GSG was the first team to be eliminated from the field. Alpha Legends, Falcons Esports, and iKURD Esports were the last surviving teams in the final circle of the match. Falcons Esports and iKURD Esports managed to secure 6 kills individually.

MATCH 3

The teams played their first-ever regular-season match in Sanhok. RA’AD were the winners of match 3 and secured massive 11 kills. Thus, adding 26 points to their super weekend table. Though RTG Esports was the second last team to get eliminated in the match, the team got slipped into the fourth position due to fewer kills (3). Gunz Esport and Alpha Legends finished at second and third spot respectively.

MATCH 4

The weekday stage table toppers, NASR Esport emerged as the winner of match 4 with massive 12 kills. Alpha Legends (4 kills) and RA’AD (7 kills) finished at second and third spots respectively. The first circle of the game was formed on the southern side of the map, thus covering up some part of the ocean. This made survival difficult for the teams in the initial minutes of the game. Real Tiger9 was the first team to get eliminated from the match, though they managed to get 3 kills.

MATCH 5

The last match of the day was played in Erangel. Falcons Esports got their second chicken dinner of the day with 18 kills. It was the highest number of kills taken by any team during all five matches. Yalla Esports slipped to the fourth position, although being the second last team to get eliminated.

“Owner of a team and organizer?” ESFI’s Role in Selection For Asian Games 2022 Questioned

In a letter addressed to the Ministry of Youth Affairs the National Christian Council (NCC), an Indian NGO, has raised concerns about the appointment of ESFI as part of the selection body of the upcoming Asian Games 2022, a StartupReporter report suggests. 

The NCC also raised its concerns to the Indian Olympics Authority (IOA) about the appointment of ESFI and asked for IOA to disclose the criteria to appoint a newly elected private body (ESFI) which was named previously in mismanagement multiple times in the past, including a case during the Asian Games 2018.

The letter was signed by Aneel J Stevenson, National Secretary-General at National Christian Council (NCC), and questioned how a private body that doesn’t even come under the purview of the Right to Information (RTI) act be allowed to shortlist and select Indian athletes for the Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou, China next year.

“What was the process followed to recognize the ESFI by the IOA? What is the credibility and position of the ESFI in the selection of the Indian National team being selected for the Games? Why did IOA choose a private body over other relevant and eligible organizations? Are the players aware of the terms and conditions mentioned in their contracts and whether they have been approved by the IOA? What are the credentials, experience, and credibility of ESFI’s directors Mr. Dhiman Kashyap, Mr. Lokesh Suji, Mr. Yugal Kishore, and Mr. Prabhat Kumar?“

The NCC also questioned about the appointment of Mr. Dhiman Kashyap who leads an Esports team Resilience and heads the Operations at ESFI.

“Why is a sports team stakeholder also a director of ESFI being given the responsibility to select India’s national team for the Asian Games? What is ESFI’s criterion or process for selecting players for the tournaments? How is a non-profit entity allowed to bind players on revenue-based clauses such as participants granting them a royalty-free, exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to copy, change, use and distribute submissions and material in agreements? How does a private body that was also named in massive mismanagement of the funds during the 2018 Asian Games is considered reliable for the management of the national team?“

Finally, the NCC has asked IOA if it can present any documentary evidence in recognizing ESFI as a selection body and the due process followed for the same.

The NCC has raised several questions to Kiren Rijiju (Minister of State of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports) and Shri Narinder Dhruv Batra (President of Indian Olympics Association). The story will be updated as we get to learn from the developments hereon wards.

ESFI Director Lokesh Suji declined to remark on the matter upon our request for a comment.

MPL joins hand with National Rifle Association of India to release a shooting game

The recent announcement by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to partner with five International Sports Federations and game publishers to launch the inaugural Olympic Virtual Series (OVS) is a welcome move for the Indian Esports industry.

As the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) works towards bridging the gap between virtual shooting and the real-world sport, this initiative will help propagate esports in India and identify talent and help groom prospective champions. This will be the first e-shooting game where the virtual game will adhere to the rules and principles set by International Olympic committee and the ISSF, especially that of being a non-violent game.  

To be held ahead of the Tokyo Olympics 2021, the OVS will begin on 13 May and end on 23 June 2021. The OVS will mobilize Esports enthusiasts from all around the world to reach a new Olympic audience.

“We welcome the IOC’s move to introduce virtual Esport versions of real world physical sport in the inaugural Olympic Virtual Series. We are sure this will encourage people to take up these sports virtually and potentially chart a way for them to emerge as champions in the physical sport”, said Raninder Singh, President, NRAI. 

NRAI along with esports and skill gaming platform MPL is also working towards bridging the gap between physical shooting and the virtual, especially given how physical infrastructure for shooting still needs a lot of development and is inaccessible to most Indians. NRAI believes that virtual versions of Olympic-style shooting sports will help evoke an interest among the masses and could serve as a gateway to people looking to enter the real sport.

Gagan Narang, Padmashri, Khel Ratna and Olympic Medallist (pls provide correct designation), India has never had a dearth of talent in shooting, and the recently concluded World Cup is a strong validation of the potential. As I have realized, technology is increasingly playing an important role in improving player performances, and gamifying the experience by initiatives as envisioned by NRAI and ably supported by MPL will not only amplify player engagement, but critically increase fan awareness about competitive sports. India needs many more such interventions across sports.

In this regard, NRAI is working with MPL to develop a mobile version of a shooting game, which is slated to be released on Independence Day, August 15, 2021. The game is a, simulator style, non-violent shooting game with ISSF style trap and skeet formats.

The NRAI will also organize, pandemic permitting, hybrid tournaments around Independence Day where the best virtual shooters will be selected for training by prominent shooting champions in India.

“We are pleased to be developing a non-violent Olympic-style shooting game with MPL. We will use this shooting simulator game to create interest, educate and train an audience of millions of internet users about the physical sport of shooting. We will also be hosting tournaments where the best virtual shooters get a chance to compete and participate in physical shooting. Online engagement will feed into offline interest which in turn will open the doors of our sport to many more Indians”, said Raninder Singh, President, NRAI. 

Sai Srinivas, Co-Founder and CEO of Mobile Premier League, which aims to take esports to the masses via mobile, said, “This is a monumental step taken by IOC to introduce the first ever Olympic-licensed virtual series. NRAI was already a first mover in recognizing the potential for e-shooting. Esports has witnessed a meteoric rise in India over the past few years and is recognized as a proper sporting career path in many regions of the world. An IOC-approved tournament announced before the Olympics will certainly help Esports get its due and encourage people to consider it as a professional option.”

Industry data shows that there is a lot of appetite for target shooting games in India, especially for a mobile-first audience. On MPL alone, since November 2020, over 17 million game plays were recorded for MPL’s target shooting titles, with 13 million alone coming from its archery game. MPL’s vision remains to create similar enabling engagements across sports disciplines that falls in line with their vision to support policymakers create an enabling esports ecosystem.

In the announcement post, it was revealed that players will get exclusive items for registering and the developers have finally revealed those rewards. Battlegrounds Mobile India is the Indian version of PUBG Mobile which is being publicized as a new battle-royale game. PUBG Mobile India underwent a rebranding process where its social front was updated. The social media handles have been changed to Battlegrounds Mobile India.

Indian PUBG fans are eagerly awaiting the game’s release and Krafton is making steady progress by creating and releasing relevant content on its social media to escalate the hype. Recently, a post revealed that players will be getting a “Recon Set” for pre-registering.

This process begun on 18th May for android users and eligible players can enroll in the process on Google Play Store. Assured rewards were mentioned in this announcement and Krafton has followed through. How to get the Combat Bow in Warzone Season 3

Warzone’s mid-season ‘80s Action Heroes update is here and with it came characters based on action heroes of the ‘80s like Rambo and John McClane. As part of the mid-season update, multiple ‘80s movie-themed points of interest have been added to Verdansk, including Nakatomi Plaza (Die Hard), Survival Camps (Rambo), and CIA Outpost (Rambo). 

The update also adds Rambo’s signature combat bow to the game as an all-new Killstreak. The combat bow is required to complete a challenge from the ‘80s Action Hero event. The combat bow is found in Survival Camp chest across Verdansk and is extremely powerful against enemies. The bow can launch powerful explosives tipped arrows that are extremely lethal against enemy players and can disable vehicles. 

Today we are going to talk about how you can get this all-new Killstreak in COD Warzone.

How to Get the Combat Bow in Warzone?

You can get the combat bow by looting chests found in the Rambo Survival Camps. There are 10 survival camps spread across the revamped Verdansk map. You can also find Dog Tags in the survival camps that can be exchanged at the new CIA Outpost for a reward.

  • Make your way to any of the 10 Survival Camps spread across the Verdansk map.
  • Locate the chest in the Camp.
  • Open the chest and hope for the Killstreak to drop.
  • Equip the Killstreak before it expires.

While the Killstreak is not a guaranteed drop, the chance of getting it from the chest is high and won’t take long before you have one. The Killstreak is easily recognizable among the loot you get from the chest. 

The combat bow is great for taking out vehicles or squads of enemies. While it isn’t powerful against a fully armored enemy, the explosive arrow hits like a truck and deals high damage. Since you need 3 kills to complete the ‘80s Action Hero challenge, we advise lowering enemy armor before firing the explosive shot.

Call Of Duty World Series Of Warzone Events Announced With $300k Prize Pool Each

Activision has announced a Call of Duty: World Series specifically for Warzone boasting a net prize pool of $1.2 Million spread across four events.

The series will be broken down into four phases on the basis of squad size and region. Both Europe and North America will have their own set of events, including trios and duos. Each phase will boast a prize pool of $300,000, with 2/3rd distributed depending on the performance of each team, the remaining $100,000 will be rewarded under the banner of Captain’s Cup.

The Captain’s Cup will bring 5 captains to draft trio squads that have. Captain will have to pre-selected two players to form their trio squad. $20,000 will be awarded to the winning captain with $1,000 each of his teammates.

The cheating problem was greatly addressed by Activision. “Before participating in a WSOW event, all participants will need to pass an extensive and internal Activision security check to make sure their Activision accounts are in good standing,” they said. Any breach of integrity will result in a permanent ban from all COD future events.

The qualifier kicks off on May 24, where the top 32 teams will engage in a double-elimination bracket. The winner will join the top teams for the Trios NA tournament from June 23. Details about the three following tournaments are yet to be shared by the organizers.
