1. Who we are
talkesport.com is published by TalkEsport Media & Broadcasting Private Limited, registered office Kolkata, West Bengal, India (“TalkEsport”, “we”). We decide how and why the personal data described here is used. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the Data Fiduciary; under the EU/UK GDPR we are the controller.
2. What we collect
- When you read the site: your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring page and the time of your visit. Our server and our security service record this automatically.
- Cookies and similar technologies: set by us and by Google and Cloudflare for security, statistics and ads. See our Cookie Policy.
- Gamer Tools: scores and settings are calculated in your browser. The Will It Run tool reads your graphics card only after you allow it. We do not store tool results on our servers.
- When you contact us: your name, email address and what you write to us (for example at [email protected] or about advertising).
- Staff and contributor accounts: name, email, login and security records for the people who write for us. We do not offer reader accounts.
We do not ask for sensitive information such as financial, health or government ID details, and please do not send it to us.
3. Why we use it

We do not sell personal data.
4. Who we share it with
- Google (AdSense for ads, Analytics for statistics), which may use it as described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Cloudflare (delivery and security of the site).
- Our hosting provider, which runs our servers.
- Authorities, when Indian law or a valid order requires it.
Google and Cloudflare may process data outside India. We use them only on their standard data protection terms.
5. Children
TalkEsport is a general news site for gamers. It is not designed for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 beyond the basic visit records every site receives. We do not track children or show them targeted ads. Visitors who have not given consent see only non-personalised ads. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to the Grievance Officer below and we will delete it.
6. How long we keep it
- Server and security logs: 30 days, longer only to investigate an attack.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months.
- Messages to us: 2 years after the conversation ends.
- Staff and contributor accounts: while the account is active, plus 1 year.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update it;
- delete it, where we no longer need it or the law does not require us to keep it;
- withdraw consent, as easily as you gave it (use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page).
You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to. Visitors in the EU or UK can also object to processing, restrict it, request a copy in a portable format, and complain to their local data protection authority.
Write to the Grievance Officer below. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Security
The site runs only over HTTPS, behind Cloudflare, with a firewall, two-factor login for staff, and regular security checks and backups. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

10. Changes
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data, we will show a notice on the site.
