Blizzard To Create World of Warcraft Animated Series: Shadowlands Afterlives

0

Blizzard is delivering a unique animated Series on World of Warcraft, titled Shadowlands Afterlives, the developer declared today. The hereafters will debut this Thursday during Gamescom 2020’s online festivals. The series premieres this week at Gamescom. It will be interesting to see how World of Warcraft mythic+ carry will be displayed in the series.

It’s a move that feels unavoidable; Blizzard has since quite a while ago advertised its games, from World of Warcraft to Hearthstone and Overwatch, with wonderfully enlivened shorts. They’re an approach to publicity characters or stories — limited time material that seldom has a long tail.

Blizzard has not yet confirmed just how many of the MMORPG franchise’s former heroes and villains will actually make an appearance in the series. However, it is expected for them to confirm this at some point during Thursday’s Gamescom 2020 premiere.

Gamescom will take place on August 27 at 10:00 AM, Pacific Daytime Standard Time. The online event will run through August 30.

Shadowlands Afterlives

Afterlives is the first unique arrangement that takes the legend of World of Warcraft and transforms it into an independent entertainment title.

This new series for Shadowlands isn’t something World of Warcraft fans should pass up. The principal trailer exhibits some intriguing goodies for fans, including Garrosh being tormented by the Venthyr.

Nonetheless, the greatest uncover so far shows the last gathering of Arthas and Uther on the combat zone directly toward the finish of the uncover trailer. This denotes a famous second in World of Warcraft legend and is something we can hardly wait to see a greater amount of.

Panda Global announces first competitive Fall Guys roster

0

It has been only a few weeks since the release of Mediatonic’s Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, and the “massively multiplayer party game” has already won the hearts of millions of fans worldwide. This unique take on the “battle royale” genre is experiencing steady and rapid growth in terms of player base. This growth has led many popular streamers, including big names on YouTube like Pewdiepie and DrDisrespect to try out the game.

Due to Fall Guys being such an enjoyable casual game, many people had doubts about its place in the esports scene. It wasn’t your conventional “competitive” game and the game didn’t focus as much on its competitiveness as it did on the actual gameplay. However, after some instances, it appears like Fall Guys might slowly be making its way to enter the world of competitive esports.

Only a few days ago, the first Fall Guys tournament was announced to be held on August 27th. FallMania will be a streamers-only invitational of multiple rounds. It’s unclear how many rounds will exactly be played, but each round will boast a prize money of a whopping $5,000 for the winner.

Days after the announcement of FallMania, Panda Global has announced the first official competitive roster for Fall Guys. The roster currently consists of four players with their own specific roles namely the captain, specialist, wildcard and support. Here are the members of the team along with their respective roles:

  • CONEY – Captain
  • FullStream – Specialist
  • Jaaahsh – Support
  • Marss – Wild Card

Only time can tell how far will Fall Guys progress as an esport, but it’ll largely be determined by what direction the Fall Guys devs choose to take their game in.

The class 9 kid named Baldeep Ningthoujam is away from his home and amid all the free time in this pandemic, his uncle suggested him to work on a themed game which is now available on android platform.

The game gives retro vibes with a protagonist dressed in the traditional attire from Manipur and is donning a mask is stranded and wants to return his home. The player has to dodge the virus hurdles and even skip police to stack points.

The boy explains that the point deducting system by police force is inspired from the fact on how police issued fines on those violating lockdown norms. If the character touches a police, the player loses 5000 points.

The teenager has also highlighted the use of sanitizer in this game. If the in-game character uses the sanitizer, it can touch anything during his journey.

PMCO Pakistan postponed for third time due to hacking allegations

0

PUBG Mobile Esports is facing its worst possible failure in their three year history of competitive tournaments. In one of the most bizzare hacking incidents in South Asian esports, PUBG Mobile Club Open: Pakistan region is postponed for the third time in a month to scan suspected players for hacking.

PMCO Fall has been a journey full of hacking scandals and team disqualifications. This grievous chain of events began with a preliminary investigation launched for teams in PMCO Pakistan where the tournament was halted midway. Soon after this incident, the officials released a statement that declared “Four teams from Pakistan are banned for lifetime in PUBG Mobile esports“.

The entire South Asia edition was subsequently alleged of hacking and hence, PMCO for India, Pakistan and South Asia regions were postponed for some time for clearing the allegations. A massive ban wave was launched within the next four days where a total of 19 teams were disqualified from the PMCO India and Pakistan.

The matter should have been resolved by now but PMCO Pakistan is still being suspected of having hackers in the semi-finals stage due to which it is postponed. Semi Finals comprises of the best 24 semi-pro teams qualified from a long phase of online qualifiers.

Hackers managing to breach into group stages was a big thing in itself but now alleged hackers being present in the semi-finals, managing to bypass the initial screening stage, is an unfortunate yet unexpected thing for the officials handling this matter.

The officials were apparently going to use an anti-cheat app for the rest of this tournament but there are no signs of its usage for now. Either that application was not used or its ability to provide a fair platform is ineffective.

Hackers sneaking into the biggest stage of regional tournaments questions the integrity of PUBG Mobile tournaments and its anti-cheat initiatives like Ban-Pan and recently introduced enhanced Spectating System. Mobile Esports is just rising in these countries and such incidents taint the entire industry as a whole.

Noble Esports acquire a PUBG Mobile roster from India

0

Noble Esports ventures into mobile esports industry by acquiring an Indian PUBG Mobile roster. The roster includes new players which have no significant reach in professional PUBG Mobile community yet.

Noble Esports is a North American esports oganization that was founded in 2014. This organisation has been active in a variety of games over the course of time. The organization had active rosters in CS:GO, Gears of War, Halo, League of Legends, Smite, World of Tanks, Dota 2, and Heroes Of The Storm. Many of these teams disbanded and currently they have a Rocket League active roster, according to Liquipedia.

Noble Esports announced their entry into Indian PUBG Mobile market by acquiring a new team whose players are presumably underdogs.

The squad did appear in PUBG Mobile India Series 2020 under name of Team Falcons. They managed to make it to the quarter-finals but could not pave their path to the semi-finals.

This move from Noble Esports is quite surprising as other international organizations that entered Indian PUBG Mobile scene picked up the best veterans from the scene. From Fnatic acquiring the star lineup of Team XSpark to TSM, NOVA Esports forming partnership with local powerhouses Entity Gaming and Team Godlike respectively, all of these organisations acquired the best teams from the region.

The move to get an underdog lineup is not new in India. A Mongolian team named No Chance Team earlier announced their own underdog lineup in India. No Chance Team is fairly known team in global PUBG Mobile esports as they made an appearance in PUBG Mobile World League through wildcard region.

Noble Esports may have picked up the prodigies that could emerge as one of the best in future. Acquiring an underdog is not necessarily the safest approach in the scene but may prove as a move with high risk – high reward potential.

The International 10 Creates History, Surpasses TI9 Prize Pool of $34.3 Million

0

Another year, another feather to the crown of Dota 2. The International 2020 has shattered yet another milestone by surpassing TI9 in terms of prize pool, making TI10 the tournament with the largest prize pool in the history of esports.

The majority of the prize pool for The International comes through crowdfunding – 25% of all the Battle Pass sales in any year adds up directly to the prize pool of that year’s TI. The previous record for the largest prize pool in any single tournament in esports was held by The International 2019, which boasted a prize pool of a whopping $34.3 million. This year, it didn’t take long for the fans to surpass the amount, as the prize pool of TI10 is still heading upwards of the mark, with several days remaining before the Battle Pass comes to an end.

The prime reason behind the overwhelming sales of the Battle Pass might lie in the plethora of new features which this year’s Battle Pass offers. The three arcanas, namely Wraith King, Queen of Pain and Windranger, combined with the two personas of Pudge and Anti-Mage, have won the hearts of millions of Dota 2 fans worldwide. The fans in turn clearly reciprocated Valve’s love towards the Battle Pass by stopping at no extent while leveling up their passes to obtain the exclusive rewards.

While it can’t be predicted how much will this year’s TI prize pool exactly be, it can be said with certainty that it will leave its mark in the history of esports.

China bans Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Trailer for Tiananmen Square Footage

0

China banned a worldwide released teaser trailer of the Activision’s most anticipated game Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War. The game is said to be based on real life events and the trailer included lots of real-life documented footages, including one second footage of protesters clashing with troops in Tiananmen Square in 1989.

The bloody protest at Tiananmen Square 1989, commonly known as June Fourth Incident in mainland China, were held by students and Chinese army was deployed to forcibly supress these protests. According to Wikipedia, the death tolls ranged from hundreds to thousands protesters and several soldiers.

China is infamous for its worldwide censorship and very strict internet regulations. This time the government has taken big steps to ban a trailer that includes the footage for a flying one second. The event is said to be a very sensitive topic in China and apparently that can be a reason for this big move.

An edited version of this trailer is said to be released in China and circulating around on Weibo. According to VICE reports, an informer states that China is deliberately trying to hide this video. As per his statement “The government is definitely cautious about the short clip because it reminds people about the atrocities that took place in Tiananmen Square. It tries to erase it but what happened in Tiananmen Square isn’t forgettable”

China is one of the biggest video games market in the world and Activision can make small changes in the game to be able to pass the stringent censorship requirements and release a bit modified version for China.
