Killjoy Disabled In Valorant Once Again Due To New Turret Bug

Riot has decided to temporarily remove Killjoy from the agent pool as the infamous turret bug that allowed her to place turrets under the map has returned.

You might have heard about Killjoy’s newest ability – placing turrets under the map. Believe it or not, this update was not intended. We’ll be disabling Killjoy until we can patch this exploit.

Riot has confirmed in a tweet that the turret bug wasn’t intended by the developers who are working to patch it out at the earliest. The German agent will be disabled from the competitive shooter till the exploit is patched.

For the unaware, the bug allowed players to glitch the Killjoy turret and place them outside the map by standing on specific areas of maps. The turret would then shoot towards enemies who would otherwise be outside its line of sight, revealing them and dealing damage.

While no specific date has been given by Riot about when Killjoy will return to the agent pool, fans are hoping for her to come back before December 3rd when the main event of the highly anticipated Valorant First Strike begins. In case she doesn’t make a return before then, the participating teams will have to formulate new strategies to fill the gap.

It’s a big week for EA as the developer gets ready to release nextgen upgrades for their titles on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. With a busy week ahead, the login servers going bust today doesn’t paint well for the developer and is a grim sign for anyone planning to enjoy the holidays playing Fifa or any other EA title.

According to various reports, fans of various EA games such as Apex Legends, Battlefield, and Fifa 21 were unable to login and play online. Since all games are always online service, players were unable to play even offline modes.

An Independent website, Down Detector, also confirmed receiving hundreds of reports that FIFA 21 isn’t working along with other EA games. Down Detector monitors various social mentions around certain topics to detect when services go down across the world and publish an outage map that showed FIFA 21 issues were affecting users in the UK and Europe.

Without waiting for EA Support to acknowledge the outage, players quickly took over social media sites and started complaining about the outage.

“Hello, I am trying to enter FIFA 21 ultimate team servers from Athens, Greece, but it does not let me enter,” one fan tweets. “I am on PS4. I have restarted both the game and the console and checked my WiFi and it is running fine. Are the servers down?“

 “It’s a shame that servers are down because I’m unable to buy the 12,000 fifa points I planned on getting…. oh well, best spend it on scouts on pes instead.”

Soon the EA Support responded and ensured players that they are looking over the issues and will be trying to restore services at the earliest.

“We’re looking into issues with our games, and services. We’ll be back with updates as we have them.”

Since that Tweet, the services are restored for the majority of players with some areas still experiencing the outage.

The PlayStation5 (PS5) made its way into consumer market worldwide on 19th November, 2020. Sony enjoyed a lot of success as their next-gen console was very well received among fans upon launch. Fans all around the world were fighting for a chance to bag themselves a PS5 due to its limited stocks which led to insane demand for the console.

During the global PS5 outage we came across a weird story from Facebook which caught our attention. Jin Wu, a man from Taiwan posted about his bizarre encounter with a PS5 reseller. While recalling the encounter on his Facebook post, he explained the situation where he had agreed upon purchasing a PS5 from a reseller. According to Wu, it was the cheapest PS5 he could find on the market and the reseller was awfully eager to sell it off for some reason.

Both of them had planned to meet up at a previously agreed upon location. When the reseller arrived, he turned out to be a middle-aged man. Wu confirmed that the man definitely looked like someone who knew a thing or two about video games. As Wu’s story goes, he then struck up a conversation with the man regarding the contents of the package.

After some digging, Wu finally managed to figure out the backstory of the man and his PS5 and presented us with the grand revelation. Apparently, the man had tricked his wife into believing he had purchased an air purifier instead of a brand new PS5. Sadly, to his dismay, his wife had figured out his scheme and subsequently forced him to resell his console.

Wu’s encounter has been compared to viral South Korean cartoon by JangBijju on Youtube by many Facebook users in the comments. In the cartoon, a man tried to fool his wife into believing that his newly bought PS4 console was actually a wi-fi router.

Free Fire is a multiplayer battle-royale game and similar to any other game in the genre, the competitive spirit is preserved in this through the ranking system. The ranking system in Free Fire ranks each player according to their skill level and higher tiers have greater competition. The ranks are decided according to a specific metric known as Ranking points or RP.

What is RP (Ranking System) in Free Fire?

There are a total of seven tiers in Free Fire ranking system starting from Bronze and as one climbs up, they will face fierce competition and tougher enemies. When a player’s account reaches level 5, they gain access to ranked matches and their journey to climb the ladder begins. The seven tiers in Free Fire are as follows:

  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Heroic
  • Grand Master

Bronze and Silver are the most basic tiers in Free Fire and each of them have their own three subsections. It is very easy to rank from Bronze to Gold but the road ahead is quite tough as the skill bar increases with each rank. The ranks also reset every season and hence, players need to continue the grind for every season to climb the ladder consistently.

A new update for Pokémon GO has just been shipped by Niantic, and it turns the level cap of the title up a notch.

Previously, Pokémon GO players could only get their in-game characters to a maximum of level 40. However, from now on, the level cap has been increased by 10 levels and players can get to level 50.

It goes without saying that players would have to grind a lot for the ten extra levels, but they’ll also be rewarded upon leveling up. Other than the exp requirement, leveling up will also require the completion of a new level-up quest on every level.

If you manage to hit level 40 in Pokémon GO before December 31, 2020, you’ll also receive the Legacy Level 40 badge in the game. Becoming level 40 before then will also unlock a Legacy Level 40 quest which is set to arrive in 2021.

Valve removes KRIMZ’s VAC ban

Earlier this week, Fnatic rifler Freddy “KRiMZ” Johansson and several other Swedish professionals who used matchmaking platform Esportal were erroneously banned by Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC). Following the ban, Krimz requested in a tweet, “It seems that my account got VAC banned. CSGO, can you fix this ASAP please.”

Several unwarranted VAC bans in the past have been retracted within a couple of days or so. A similar incident happened with Asian professionals who were falsely VAC banned due to matchmaking platform 5E’s anti-cheat.

It was likely a case of incompatibility between CS:GO’s trust mode and the matchmaking client. Same was the case with Esportal. But finally, the false-positive bans have been dealt with and the VAC bans are retracted.

Freddy “KRiMZ” Johansson is a popular figure in the Counter-Strike scene with almost 20 premier events to his name. Throughout his career, he has spent most of the time under Fnatic while he has won back-to-back majors during their prime.

In a statement released earlier, Esportal had clarified that they are in touch with Valve to resolve the issue and that their services are ceased until a solution is found. They further apologised to the users and unambiguously stated that the bans have “nothing to do with actual cheating”.

Eventually, both the parties have fixed the issue and the unwarranted VAC bans have been retracted. Freddy “KRiMZ” Johansson and co. will be playing against Dignitas in Flashpoint 2 on December 01.

Watch Dogs Legion’s online mode delayed

In a recently released statement on their official website, Ubisoft has informed fans that they’re postponing the launch of the multiplayer mode of their newest title Watch Dogs: Legion till 2021.

The reason behind this sudden delay, as mentioned by the developers themselves, is the influx of problems the action-adventure title has been facing since its release on October 29th.

“As part of our commitment to fixing the game’s issues, we’ve decided to delay the Online mode of Watch Dogs: Legion to early 2021,” Ubisoft said in the statement. “This will allow us to focus on fixing issues with single player, and it will give us more time to test the Online experience to help ensure a smooth launch of the mode.”

The multiplayer mode of Watch Dogs: Legion is set to enable players to complete co-op missions in parties of four and allow them to take part in exclusive multiplayer game modes.

While no specific release date has been scheduled for the multiplayer release of Watch Dogs: Legion as of yet, Ubisoft has confirmed that it’ll arrive in “early 2021.” Till then, the devs will focus on improving the single-player experience of the title.

“As an immediate next step, this week, we are releasing Update 2.20 to PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Stadia,” the devs said. “The update will add a manual Save Game button to PC, as well as bring further stability improvements for Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PlayStation 4”
