PUBGM teams Phoenix Esports and ETP banned for an year

PUBG Mobile teams from Vietnam named Pheonix Esports and Eighteen Plus Esports (ETP) are officially banned from all PUBG Mobile tournaments for an year after they were caught teaming up in an official tournament.

Teaming is a big offence in competitive PUBG Mobile. Hence, the organization or their players won’t be competing anytime soon.

Teaming up in PUBG Mobile Esports strategically plans arrangements with opponent teams or players to gain a mutual advantage or benefit for both parties. This is a serious offence as the competition’s integrity is at stake.

PUBG Mobile Esports Indonesia uploaded a post on their official Instagram handles, making this big announcement. This incident occurred in the PMPL SEA Championship Playin stage, where the accused were caught cheating.

According to the release, Pheonix Esports and ETP were seen teaming up in the official event. To avoid this situation in the future, the officials have taken a stringent step to remove them from the competition itself.

Moving forwards, the groups could be adjusted in such a way that the loss of two teams will not entirely affect the state of competition. PMPL SEA Championship is already underway and such investigations shed a light of some malpractices happening behind the scenes.

All the Recent CSGO Source 2 Leaks Summed Up

The past few days have seen several leaks surfacing on the internet that hint that the port for CSGO Source 2 is just around the corner.

And needless to say, the community is more excited than ever, with players throughout the globe being ready to welcome the highly anticipated engine upgrade once it finally arrives.

Over the last two years, we’ve seen multiple leaks about the Source 2 upgrade coming to CSGO, but so far, fans have been left with nothing but disappointment.

However, these recent Source 2 leaks that data miners have revealed over the last month indicate that the CSGO Source 2 update might be nearer than you think.

Here’s everything you need to know about all the recent leaks:

CSGO Source 2 Update: What You Need to Know

The series of leaks started when Twitter user and popular CSGO leaker ‘Aquarius’ revealed that the developers behind the shooter were testing out the fan-favorite bomb-defusal map ‘Cobblestone’ on the Source 2 engine. The leaks mentioned the data ‘Offline Casual de_cbbl_s2’, which hints at the new map version being added to the engine.

Earlier this year, we had seen even more leaks surfacing on the internet confirming that Valve had been working on porting some of the CSGO maps to the Source 2 engine for a while. The maps that have already been reworked on the Source 2 engine include Inferno, Overpass, Italy, Shoots, Lake, and Shortdust.

The leaks mentioned above were then followed by another huge leak from ‘Gabe Follower’ that further hyped up the CSGO community. In his Tweet, the leaker mentioned that a speculated Source 2 port of CS:GO was being tested by the developers on the public App ID 730 instead of the usual private App ID 710.

While this may not seem like a major cause of excitement at first, it is, without a doubt, some huge news for the game. With the testing of Source 2 beginning on the public CSGO App ID, it’s only a matter of time before Valve adds the Source 2 versions of the previously mentioned maps to the same, which brings us much closer to the actual release of the Source 2 engine upgrade.

Finally, with the release of the Dota 2 Battle Pass on September 1st, dataminers were able to discover even more details about the CSGO Source 2 upgrade within the Dota 2 update

In a Twitter thread, Aquarius breaks down the lines of code and mentions how they might be directly related to a leak.

At the time of writing, no specific release date for the CSGO Source 2 engine upgrade has been revealed by the developers or leaked by dataminers. However, all these recent leaks might prove to be a ray of hope for the CSGO community to cling onto till we get further information on the Source 2 port for the competitive shooter.

Krafton might be transferring BGMI data to new servers

Krafton’s Battlegrounds Mobile India BGMI is currently facing a ban order in the country as its entire distribution network is hampered.

Amidst this blockage, new leaks suggest that the game might be returning in India with some changes that includes a major data porting from the existing servers to a newer one.

An esports news page named Enews Boy recently posted a video leak on the page stating that the game is coming back. The caption posted along with the clip mentions that when a test account was created in the blocked BGMI game, it was said that the account was transferred to “new Battlegrounds Mobile India App.”

Also Read: 5 Reasons Why BGMI Is Banned In India

BGMI was banned in India for not providing adequate user privacy and having allegations about links with China. The developers were given a time frame of 15 days to prove their innocence but no updates have been provided by either side yet. The government did not officially state that the game is banned but several efforts are made to keep the game out of the market.

Players are having issues while accessing the game servers as the blockage issued is under the IT Act 69(A), making it mandatory for service providers to block applications mandated by the government.

Due to this, reaching the BGMI servers has been a minor issue for many, and when Enews Boy tried to make a new account, they were served with a notification informing them about the data transfer.

The video also highlights that the skins are still visible despite the account being in a new condition. The in-game popularity count has been reset and this might be an indication that BGMI data could be shifted to newer servers, allowing the game to come back in a different form as per the post.

The credibility of this information is not verified by TalkEsport yet, but this could potentially be a leak of an upcoming announcement. Stay tuned to get more information regarding this matter.

XSET Upsets FPX to Qualify for Valorant Champions Playoffs

On the sixth day of Valorant Champions Istanbul 2022, the group C elimination match-up between KRU esports and XERXIA was followed by the first elimination from Group D between Fnatic and Furia. The day’s final game had the first playoff qualification from Group C.

Day 6 (5th September) Valorant Champions 2022 Group Stage Results:

D06:00 PM TRT GMT +03:00FURIA 12Fnatic
C09:00 PM TRT GMT +03:00FPX12XSET

Match 1 KRU esports vs XERXIA esports (Group C):

The first elimination of Group C had KRU esports from LATAM taking on the APAC’s XERXIA. The winner of the match will have to take on the losers of XSET/FPX.

The match started on Icebox, picked by KRU esports, and they ensured to send a message on why they chose Icebox. On attack, they completely decimated XERXIA’s defence to win the half 9-3.

The second half started with KRU continuing that winning momentum to win the first two rounds. XERXIA did answer back with one, but the KRU defence stayed strong to close the first map 13-4.

The second map of Haven started with XERXIA destroying KRU’s defence, winning six rounds in a row. KRU recovered a bit towards the end to scrape eight rounds, but the half ended with a four-round advantage for XERXIA.

XERXIA started the second half with three rounds. KRU replied with a thrifty, but the seven-round deficit was hard to overcome, and XERXIA closed their map pick 13-7.

The final map of Ascent started with a back-and-forth with both teams trying to play for control, but the opponents always answered back, ending the first half in KRU’s favour with a two-round lead.

But the second half was a different story altogether, with KRU in the driver’s seat and winning the required six rounds to win, dropping only one round and winning the map 13-6 to eliminate XERXIA.

KRU esports will now play the loser of XSET vs FPX in a qualification match-up, while XERXIA becomes the third Asian team to get eliminated from Valorant Champions.

Match 2 Fnatic vs Furia (Group D):

The first elimination game of Group D has one of the tournament contenders in Fnatic taking in the dark horses of Furia. Only one team out of the two makes out of this match to play another elimination game against 100 Thieves.

The brawl between the teams started on Icebox, chosen by Fnatic. Furia on defence completely shut down Fnatic’s attack to win 6 out of the starting seven rounds, but Fnatic showed resilience, closing the half 5-7.

Furia’s attack failed to achieve much in the first two rounds, but as the gun rounds started, Furia went on a roll to win attack rounds back to back to win Fnatic’s map pick 13-9.

Fnatic played Furia’s pick of Breeze on the backfoot with a map disadvantage. They completely overwhelmed Furia with their Neon-Breach combo, Breaching the Furia defence to win the half 10-2.

The second half started with Furia winning four rounds in a row, but the overwhelming lead for Fnatic helped them to close the game 13-7, forcing the third map.

The third map started with Furia winning six out of the starting eight rounds, but Fnatic’s deep playbook helped Fnatic to fight back, winning the final four rounds of the half to equalise the scoreline before going into the second half.

The second half started with both teams going at each other with all their might, trading blows and rounds to reach a point where Fnatic on map point had to scrape their credits to put together a buy for the last round. It seemed overtime was imminent, but a miraculous clutch from Enzo helped them secure the final round.

With the last round, Fnatic secured the final map 13-11, winning the relatively close series 2-1. Fnatic will now play 100 thieves to qualify for the playoffs. While the amazing run of Furia ends here, and they become the fourth team to be eliminated from the Valorant Champions

Match 3 FunPlus Phoenix vs. XSET (Group C):

The Defending champions and arguably the best team of the tournament, FunPlus Phoenix, will take on the NA #2 team XSET to qualify for their second international playoff.

The series started with Pearl choosing XSET. Both teams had difficulty taking control of the map, with no team winning more than two rounds in a row, with the half splitting precisely in the middle.

The second half thought seemed as if XSET thoroughly read whatever FPX was cooking to dominate FPX to close out map 13-7 to go to FPX’s map pick.

FPX’s fracture had FPX in complete control, winning eight rounds and XSET only managing to scrape through a few defense rounds. The second half was FPX all over again, and FPX completely shut down all the XSET attempts to take a site, closing the game 13-4 and forcing a third.

XSET completely took over Breeze, pushing FPX to the edge and reading out all the attacks from FPX to close the first half 11-1. FPX seemed to be gaining momentum in the second half, but XSET closed the game 13-5 to win the series 2-1.

XSET, with the win, became the second NA team to qualify for the Valorant Champions playoffs, and they did it amazingly by defeating the defending champions FPX. FPX now plays KRU in an elimination game.

Call of Duty coming to Xbox Game Pass

Call Of Duty Series Coming To Xbox Game Pass With Future Games Releasing Same Day On Xbox Game Pass As Well As Playstation.

Microsoft Gaming CEO, Phil Spencer in a recent blog post confirmed that after the acquisition of Activision-Blizzard goes through all current games and future releases from the publisher will release on Xbox Game Pass.

Phil confirmed that Call of Duty – along with the likes of Diablo and Overwatch – will eventually come to Game Pass but will still be released on PlayStation on the same day (atleast until the contract with Sony remain valid).

“We intend to make Activision Blizzard’s much-loved library of games – including Overwatch, Diablo, and Call of Duty – available in Game Pass and to grow those gaming communities,” Spencer said in the blog post. “By delivering even more value to players, we hope to continue growing Game Pass, extending its appeal to mobile phones and any connected device.” – Phil Spencer in Blog Post.

As per the blog post, Xbox’s main objective is to bring “gaming experiences to the billions of players everywhere”. Microsoft’s January announcement of acquiring Activision-Blizzard is an important milestone in its journey to bring gaming to everyone everywhere.

“We’re on a journey to put the fantastic creations of developers into the hands of players around the world, no matter where they play.”

It would still take some time before Activision-Blizzard’s games are added to the Xbox Game Pass library as no date or details were shared by Spencer in the blog post. If the acquisition goes through successfully then we can expect to see future iterations of Activision Blizzard franchises presumably come to Game Pass on day one like every other Xbox First title.

Pokimane Admits Andrew Tate saga is sad

0

Pokimane’s hiatus ended with saddening news, and she has been suffering from mental burnout for the entire time, making it increasingly difficult for her to maintain her previous schedule.

Pokimane broke down in tears when explaining what caused her to take a break, to which fans have responded by offering a plethora of support. Since she announced a break in mid-July, Pokimane has broken her silence in September.

September 1st saw Pokimane drop a video where she explains the break and all the changes that will come in the following days, including the type of content and a new streaming schedule.

“I do recognize that putting myself out there so much, especially streaming, it revolves around this constant feedback loop of people telling you what they think of you. From seven-second TikTok clips to 10-minute YouTube videos to 10-hour streams, and they all revolve around comments.” she said at the time.

During the podcast, pokimane said, “I think to me it just made me sad because I thought as internet users we had kind of moved past this sort of talk, this sort of misogyny, this sort of rhetoric, and to see it come back and rise in such a massive manner I guess was just surprising and kind of sad to see, especially in regards to the harassment it resulted in.”

“Sometimes as a gimmick, sometimes for the memes or the laughs or whatever, right?” She later added, “But I guess to me it just shows young men must not have many people to listen to or many people that are giving them advice like this; many role models that are kind of guiding them.”

“And I’m sure there are issues that both genders face, and young dudes need some assistance, I guess.”

The podcast concluded that Tate’s influence had been nothing short of a disaster for the community and his getting banned everywhere shows his negative side to everyone.
