Andhra Pradesh Passes Gaming Amendment Bill To Ban Online Games

The Andhra Pradesh government 2 days back passed a bill in the legislative assembly banned the use of online games, citing the increased number of suicides as the reason.

Home Minister Mekatoti Sucharita stated that this new law was brought to prevent online gambling by saying, “Many internet websites which claim to provide gambling services are not authentic and there are no regulatory measures to check the legitimacy of these sites.That makes it really easy for these sites to defraud the customers and it also raises a lot of security and privacy issues.”

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy also expressed his concern that increasing suicides and debts among youngsters was the reason why they were amending the AP Gaming Act, 1974.

The amendment states that a first time offender will be fined a maximum of Rs 5000 with a prison term of 1 year, with repeat offenders spending 2 years behind the bars with fines of Rs 10000. It remains to be seen if this bill is indeed put into full effect and what impact it will have among gamers in Andhra Pradesh.

Fan-made mods for InnerSloth’s murder-mystery title Among Us have taken over the internet in the past few months. Among Us fans are expressing their innovation to implement twists to their beloved video game by creating mods that are quite different than the classic version of the game.

For instance, the proximity chat mod for Among Us has gained an insane amount of popularity recently, with big YouTubers like 5up, jacksepticeye, and Markiplier showcasing the mod through their YouTube videos.

This time, it’s the Among Us Zombie Mod that has managed to gain the attention of thousands of players after it was brought to light by a group of YouTubers. In this video, YouTuber ‘ZeRoyalViking’ shows the gameplay of the Zombie mod and explains how it works.

What is the Among Us Zombie Mode?

Zombie Mod is similar to the ‘Hide & Seek’ game mode, but with several major twists. After a game starts, one player is randomly chosen to be the zombie after a certain timer expires. That player has their vision and speed reduced, but can infect other players by walking through them.

The game ends when all the survivors are infected, or when the crew manages to complete all of their tasks. Unlike usual Among Us, players can’t vote out the zombies and have to rely on their superior speed and vision to escape them.

It’s not an official game mode as of yet. But if InnerSloth decides to implement their own version of the zombie mod, it’s certain to be a favorite among players in no time.

Sage is one of the most popular agents in Riot’s competitive shooter Valorant. Not only does she have an incredible heal for her entire team, she can also slow down enemy rushes and block off areas of a map entirely through her wall. Not to mention she has one of the most incredible ultimates in the entire game – Resurrection.

Due to widespread complaints from the Valorant player base about Sage being overpowered, the developers showered her down with a bunch of nerfs across multiple patches. This time however, it looks like the Chinese agent is about to receive some love from the devs, as they have confirmed that Sage is about to receive some much needed buffs in new Valorant update i.e. new Valorant patch notes 1.13.

After Riot rendered Sage unable to cast her wall pre-round in attempts to prevent Omen abusing it with its teleport, the devs confirmed that this change would stick with her in the future. Alongside that, Riot further confirmed that the next update will hit Sage with a buff in her Barrier.

“We have a small balance change planned to put a little power back into her barrier,” Riot said in a tweet.

The danish team has made quite an interesting change as Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander will be getting back in action as the In-game leader for the team and will be taking on the responsibilities from his team mate Emil “Magisk” Reif.

Although under Magisk the team was actually doing quite well and won two tournaments and had a top- four finish and he himself put up a great performance with a 1.08 rating over the last six months of play.

After taking a break for a few months, the comeback of the 25 year old has given the team a boost and that was seen in their latest performances.

He also tweeted about how he was feeling after becoming the IGL of the team after a long break.

And yeah its true that I am back as the IGL, but its pretty easy to be IGL when my team is killing it ?

The defensive side on Vertigo saw a closely contested second half for Team Liquid as Astralis edged near to rounding off the deficit for yet another time, this time with Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth doing the honors after the latter clutched out a post plant 4K.

Debanjan ‘DeathMaker’ Das has finally decided to get a taste of the Valorant hype by the looks of it, with the player set to join GodLike Esports’ Valorant squad. The Indian csgo phenom saw his Global Esports contract end a couple of days earlier and was reportedly in talks with an unnamed international organisation for their CSGO roster.

However, the deal fell through and DeathMaker has since opted to switch to Valorant, joining the budding GodLike roster. The former Global Esports star had this to say about his tenure with the organisation.

“Time has finally come for me and Global Esports to part ways. I am glad to say I found more than just an organization; I found wonderful friends, supporters and a place to call home for such a long time. Thank you for making me part of the Global family and helping me in my endeavour to excel in an esports title I grew up loving. We conquered several battlegrounds with Global Esports and I hope to someday work with them again in some capacity. “

GodLike presents DeathMaker with a unique opportunity and perhaps, a throwback to his old days, with the organisation still building their reputation as a top team in the Indian Valorant scene.

I had a taste of the Indian Valorant competition with Global Esports and the budding ecosystem did draw my attention.
