We might soon see a new casual game mode to be introduced in Valorant, but with a unique end game and something more exciting, the likes of which we often came across in multiplayer games like Halo, Call Of Duty, and MMO titles like Destiny 2. 

Ever since Riot brought Valorant on their deck, the first-person tactical shooter has been a resounding success when it comes to development and other factors where the game would need to be updated within regular intervals. With no stone left unturned, the developers just won’s top when it comes to further polish their game with brand new content and cosmetic line.

Most recently, speculations about a new game mode have surfaced, thanks to the esteemed data miners on the internet, ValorLeaks and floxay. ValorLeaks on their Twitter handle tweet about a forthcoming game mode, may either be dubbed as “Control” or “CTF aka Capture The Flag”.

In the past apart from the Unrated and Competitive, Riot had shipped a plethora of other casual introduced FFA deathmatch, Spike Rush, Snowball fight, and Escalation with the latter two game modes having been put up on a rotation.

Although the developers are yet to officially intreoduces the modes, they are rumored to come out as a part of the Episode 4, given the fact that no new agent releases are on the board for Riot. Backed by floxay, either Control / Capture the flag modes might be played out on a different map as the former’s tweet does hint towards 3 new maps being developed. 

The framework behind Valorant’s current progression system is reportedly getting overhauled as suggested by data miner, ValoLeaks on Twitter. Players will now receive Match Boxes along with a new line of in-game currency dubbed as “Act Points” which might revamp the ideas behind getting weapon cosmetics in the game. 

Ever since Valorant was brought by Riot on their title deck, the progression system of the first-person shooter has remained the same and never got a massive update that would headline a different format of the former. 

With the current surfacing of some data thanks to ValorLeaks, the ongoing Episode 4 might reward players with a set of Match Boxes from playing games or logging in daily while the introduction of a new in-game currency, Act Points may help grab rewards in the form of cosmetics. The end game behind Act Points is yet to be determined although it may need to pass the PBE first. Act Points sound like a new way of progression which might hint towards a custom Act store where the points might be able to get you weapon cosmetics, missed earlier. 

Till now, Valorant have had a plethora of content-driven options which include the Battle Pass, Night Market, and Daily offers but with Act points, it would be a handy option to eliminate the probability of missing out on a certain bundle or a specific cosmetic. 

As earlier mentioned, you would receive a set of Act Points upon opening your matchboxes.
