How to unlock the Overachiever title in BGMI

Battlegrounds Mobile India is the new home of PUBG Mobile players in India. Krafton Inc. has replicated PUBGM and created a new game that complies with the local regulations. As both of these games are quite similar, the in-game features like achievements are exactly the same. Here is a simple way to get overachiever title in BGMI or PUBG Mobile.

Titles in PUBG Mobile or BGMI are special medals that are awarded to a selective few only if they complete certain tasks. Things like Sharpshooter or Weapon Master can only be unlocked if players use certain types of guns or killing methods but Overachiever is different from the rest.

Overachiever is a title that is awarded to a player which has completed a lot of in-game achievements and unlocked certain titles previously. This means that a player should be playing the game for a long time to be able to unlock it.

Players need a total of 2800 achievement points to unlock this title. To do this, you firstly need to play a lot of matches and complete other smaller achievements to ultimately stack up these points. Follow these steps to do so:

  • Go to achievements section and check how many points you need to unlock the medal.
  • Later on, navigate to the rest of achievements and remember the easiest ones. After you complete an achievement, a certain number of points will be awarded to you.
  • Keep completing such achievements till you ultimately unlock the Overachiever title.

Players need to be patient while trying to unlock this item because it cannot be unlocked in one go. The amount of points required to get it can vary from player to player.

BLAST Premier Spring: Team Vitality Knock G2 Down to Last Chance Stage

G2 esports were defeated at the hands of Team Vitality in the first final of BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022. Winning the game, Vitality secured themselves a spot at the BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2022 and will not need to play in the Spring Showdown.

Vitality won their own map pick of Inferno while G2 demolished them on Mirage. The decider got a little close but the scoreline doesn’t tell the whole story, as Team Vitality had control throughout the whole map.

MAP VETO

1. Vitality removed Ancient

2. G2 removed Overpass

3. Vitality picked Inferno

4. G2 picked Mirage

5. Vitality removed Vertigo

6. G2 removed Nuke

7. Dust2 was leftover

MAP 1 – Inferno: Team Vitality 16-10 G2 esports

Starting on their own map pick, Team Vitality lost the pistol but come back with a strong force buy and took control of the map. IGL Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire led by example, getting entries on both sides of the map as they took 6 rounds before G2 came up with a reply. Inspired by the Kovac brothers and AWPer ‘m0NESY’ with 13 kills each, G2 let the French-Danish side have only 1 more round as they brought the half as close as can be, going 8-7 in Vitality’s favor.

On the T side, G2’s weaknesses and lack of cohesion in the new roster showed. They could only get 2 rounds as ZywOo and dupreeh went ham, leading the charge with 14 and 12 kills respectively. They shut G2 down without breaking a sweat to take their pick 16-10.

MAP 2 – Mirage: Team Vitality 4-16 G2 esports

G2 got off to a flier on their own map pick. This was somewhat expected as the Danes – dupreeh and Magisk hadn’t played the map in 2 years as it was Astralis’ permaban. G2 ran riot on the T side, getting 11 rounds and only losing a round here and there, never really losing control and not letting Vitality have any streaks either.

G2 won 4 clutches on the map, including a 1v2 to end the map from NiKo, who had a rating of 2.20 and 25 kills to secure the map 16-4 for his side.

MAP 3 – Dust2: Team Vitality 16-12 G2 esports

Dust2 as the decider was a drawn-out affair with moments of brilliance from both sides. Vitality had a better showing especially on the CT side as they limited G2 to just 5 rounds. They were trailing 4-5 at one point but the B site was locked down by dupreeh and with apEX and ZywOo on A, G2 felt constricted.

The T side for vitality was no different as they bounced back after a pistol loss and the score sat at 15-8 in their favor. G2 didn’t back down so easily and had a streak of 4 of their own but with the economy always in tatters, it wasn’t long before they crumbled and lost the game 16-12.

LAST CHANCE FOR G2 CSGO

G2 will compete in the last chance stage vs MIBR for a chance to qualify for BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2022 without dropping down to the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown.

Team Vitality confirms their presence at the Spring Finals and becomes the first team this season to secure their spot.

Skyesports reaches new heights in Indian esports industry in 2021

0

Skyesports has become a household name for anybody well versed with the Indian esports industry and affiliated communities. They have organized a number of tournaments till date and owing to their diversified portfolio, Skyesports has passed several landmarks in the past year.

Skyesports is a Chennai-based esports and gaming company from India specialized in organizing impressive esports events. Skyesports successfully concluded their 2021 chapter with over 280,000 players participating in multiple events having ten different esports titles.

The Skyesports League was an innovative and first ever city-based franchise league for esports in India. It had its own unique bidding system where famous personas from the community bidded to form their own team. This tournament ran over the entire summer and had more than ₹16 lakhs of prize pool.

Skyesports League was a major factor in rising the popularity of Valorant in India. The numbers testify to this fact as the total views crossed 8 million and combined watching hours were more than 770,000.

Skyesports ventured into a new market by launching its own talent management agency called Sky Route. The Skyesports League was the first city-based franchise league for esports in India and connected influencers with brands.

Gnana Shekar, the CMO of Skyesports, talked about their marketing strategy and said, “Whether it was our long-time partners in AMD or the digital shopping store Croma, we made sure that every one of them hit their advertising goals through esports. With the industry expected to hit new heights in the coming years, Skyesports will be in the forefront of breaking barriers and setting a benchmark, similar to what we did with the Skyesports League this summer.”

Skyesports also secured a major investment by JetSynthesys in September 2021. Rajan Navani, the vice chairman and managing director of JetSynthesys commented on their valuable investment and said the following:

“We are happy to have Shiva and his team as part of the JetSynthesys family. Indian gaming has immense potential, and the talent which resides in the non-metros often goes unnoticed. Our vision, therefore, is to build esports at the grassroot level and empower individuals who have a passion for gaming to make a career of it through JetSkyesports. 2022 is going to be a year of reckoning for esports globally as it becomes a medal event in the Asian Games, and at our end we have many things in the pipeline to follow the raging success of the Jet Skyesports Championship 3.0.”

Skyesports Championship 2021 was their most prestigious event in 2021 with a prize pool of whopping ₹55 lakhs. A total of five games namely Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), VALORANT, Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, and Sachin Saga Cricket Champions were featured at this event.

This event helped Skyesports to expand into South Asian region as teams from Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh were able to participate in the competition for Valorant.

One of the highlights and milestones of the year was Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar attending the awards ceremony of this event at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. Mr. Tendulkar delivered some inspiring words at this event and said “This is new India, where sports and esports gaming are accepted as a career option.”

Shiva Nandy, the CEO of Skyesports, described the event as a “rare occurrence of traditional sports stars overlapping with gaming personalities” and added, “I expect this to become a norm in the future with the inclusion of esports as a medal event in the Asian Games 2022.”

Asian Games 2022 will be the biggest event this year as esports is included as an official event for the first time in history. Skyesports is in the forefront of Indian esports and will be helping Indian athletes to prepare for the final competition. They have launched a #RoadtoAsianGames programme for this specific reason.

The company’s first event under this programme featured the launch of a new IP, the Skyesports Mobile Open. It had a prize pool of Rs. 40 lakhs, split between BGMI, FIFA Mobile, Hearthstone, Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, and Real Cricket 20.

The year full of competition ended with Skyesports Streamer Showdown where they added yet another title to their arsenal in the form of Free Fire.

“We were able to sustain continuous growth despite the ban on PUBG Mobile due to the wide portfolio of games we organize tournaments for,” Nandy said. “One of India’s most played mobile games, Free Fire, has now been added to that list.”

Skyesports will continue to grow in 2022 as well and has promised to bring back the LAN ecosystem, owing to the India’s wide vaccination program covering most of the country. All of the Skyesports’ IPs will make a return as well.

Skyesports has grown a lot in the past few years with a jump from eleven employees in 2021 to a total of 41 employees and six consultants by the year end.

CSGO Records Highest Player Growth Since April 2020

0

2022 is turning out to be a great year for CSGO fans as the title witnesses its highest player growth in almost two years. According to data from Steam Charts, CSGO has gained over 55,000 unique players in the month of January 2022. The last time we had observed a growth of over 50K unique players was in November 2020, when the competitive shooter gained 55,087 unique players in a month.

Currently, CSGO stands proud at the top of the Steam Charts in terms of player numbers, boasting an average player count of over 600,000 while its peak player count hovers near the 1 million mark. It’s important to note that both the average numbers and the peak player counts are witnessing a significant increase over the previous months, further hinting at the increment in the title’s popularity.

The news comes as Valve announced the next CSGO major in Antwerp, Belgium. The increasing player numbers of CSGO are certain to provide a boost in the upcoming Major’s viewership as well, unless the game somehow drastically loses players over the next few months – something we have seen happen in the past

With CSGO gaining 55,762 unique players over January 2022, the title sees its biggest player growth since April 2020, when it gained a whopping 186,570 unique players in a month. However, that sudden growth spurt was rather short-lived, as CSGO lost almost the same number of players over the next two months combined.

This time, we are keeping our fingers crossed for the growth of CSGO to continue over the next few months.
