Fortnite Kingdom Hearts crossover skins are set to arrive this week, Epic Games has confirmed. The long-awaited collaboration will bring Sora, along with three other Kingdom Hearts characters, into Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4. Epic revealed the news through its official Fortnite account and a new teaser trailer.
Below is everything confirmed so far, including the release window, the characters joining, and other crossovers still expected this season.
Fortnite Kingdom Hearts Release Date
Epic Games has not shared an exact release date for the Fortnite Kingdom Hearts collaboration. On September 13, 2026, the official Fortnite account posted a short announcement confirming that Sora is coming to Fortnite “this week.” That puts the release window somewhere between September 14 and September 20, 2026.
A teaser trailer released alongside the announcement gives fans their first proper look at Sora’s in-game Keyblade. The weapon carries a small charm at the base of the chain, which is normally a Mickey Mouse head in the mainline games. In the Fortnite version, that charm has been replaced with the game’s own Loot Llama.
Epic has not confirmed whether the Keyblade will be sold as a Pickaxe, added to the loot pool as a weapon, or both.
All Characters Confirmed for the Fortnite Kingdom Hearts Collab
Sora was the only character shown when Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, known as Override, launched on August 20, 2026. His skin appeared in the season’s key art, but he was missing from the launch trailer and had not yet been added to the game.
Following the September 13 announcement, Epic posted a series of character quotes, confirming three more Kingdom Hearts characters are joining alongside Sora:
- Sora: “A scattered dream that’s like a far-off memory.”
- Riku: “If the world is made of light and darkness, we’ll be the darkness.”
- Kairi: “And who knows, starting a new journey might not be so hard.”
- Roxas: “Looks like my summer vacation is over.”
Riku is Sora’s childhood friend and rival. Kairi is a close friend of both characters, and Roxas is Sora’s Nobody, first introduced as a playable character in Kingdom Hearts II. With four confirmed skins, the crossover is bigger than the single Sora skin fans initially expected.
Other Collabs Coming to Fortnite Override
Kingdom Hearts is not the only crossover still pending in the current Fortnite season. Persona 5’s Joker was also shown in Override marketing last month but has not been added to the game yet.
CD Projekt Red has separately confirmed that a Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Lucy skin is on the way to Fortnite. Epic has also previously said that Rebecca’s Guns, a weapon tied to the same Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration, will be added to the loot pool.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Override is scheduled to run until the end of October, giving Epic several weeks to roll out the remaining crossovers.
With Sora’s Kingdom Hearts skin now confirmed for release this week, players can expect an Item Shop update introducing the character alongside Riku, Kairi, and Roxas. Epic Games has not detailed pricing, bundle options, or whether Edit Styles will be included for any of the four skins. More details are expected closer to the actual release.
