If you are going in person, tickets are sold through District, KRAFTON India’s ticketing partner for the event.

Is Alan Walker performing at BMIC 2026?

Yes. KRAFTON India and District announced that Alan Walker will open the tournament in person. His link with BGMI goes back to 2024, when his track “Hero” played in the game’s lobby during the “Be A Hero” campaign.

“India, I’m coming home!” Walker said in the announcement. Karan Pathak, Associate Director of Esports at KRAFTON India, said that when “Hero” became part of the BGMI lobby, “our community embraced it as its own anthem.”

Can DRX defend their BMIC title?

That is the question hanging over Day 1. DRX won BMIC 2025 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in Delhi last November, with True Rippers second and CAG Osaka third, according to KRAFTON India’s BMIC 2025 results page. DRXHyunbin was named MVP.

An Indian team finished one place short last year, in front of an Indian crowd. This time six home teams get a shot at going one better. We looked at what has changed for DRX since then in our breakdown of DRX’s new roster and 2026 form.

Why does iQOO SouL matter so much on Day 1?

Because SouL arrive as the hottest team in India. They won the BMSD 2026 Grand Finals in Hyderabad on October 18 with 155 points, ahead of Gladiators Esports on 141 and 8Bit on 140. Only 15 points separated the top three, so the Indian side of this lobby is tighter than the bracket makes it look.

There is a twist. SouL and Japan’s Valor have both already booked places at PMGC 2026, SouL through the BMSD title and Valor through the PMJL. Two of the 16 teams in Mumbai are playing with their world championship tickets already in hand. That changes how the PMGC race works at BMIC, and we explained the scenarios in what happens to the PMGC slots if SouL win BMIC 2026.

What should you watch for on Day 1?

Day 1 rarely decides a three-day event, but it does set the mood. A bad first six matches can leave a team chasing for 12 more.

Keep an eye on how the Korean teams handle Rondo, the newest of the three maps. Gladiators and 8Bit are worth following too, since they finished one point apart in Hyderabad two weeks ago. Then there is the crowd. A home stadium full of BGMI fans cheering every Indian chicken dinner is something the visiting teams have to play through all week.

We will update our BMIC 2026 hub page with the Day 1 standings once the last match ends tonight.
