The Counter-Strike 2 devs have teased the return of Cache once again, and speculation regarding the map’s release date is running rampant within the game’s community.
This time, the teaser comes in the form of an X post on the official CS2 handle. On Monday, Valve uploaded a legendary clip of streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel on Cache, with the caption, “Let’s have a great week.”
This isn’t the first time Valve has teased the return of Cache to CS2. Last week, we saw the CS2 devs switch the banner of its X handle to a cryptic image that closely resembles an area near the T-Spawn of Cache.
Only a few days later, the CS2 X handle posted yet another cryptic post, asking the community, “What are you doing next week?”
The post also included a highlight reel, including some of the most iconic pro plays on Cache from back in the CS:GO days.
CS2 Cache Release Date
While Valve has all but confirmed the release date of Cache in CS2, it’s expected to be added to the map pool this week.
Note that Cache is unlikely to be added to the Premier map rotation at the time of its launch, but fans can look forward to enjoying Cache in the Competitive map pool later this week.
If we had to make an educated guess, Cache is likely to be introduced to CS2 between April 29 and May 1, 2026.
