How to Get The Pumpkin Punisher in Call Of Duty: Warzone

Call Of Duty embraces Halloween yet again this year, as if 2020 wasn’t haunting enough.

The Haunting of Verdansk with its Halloween themed events is a sweet introduction of western culture to the game. The Trick or Treat hunt is a challenge introduced as a part of this event engages players into looking for 16 unique loot items that yield the Pumpkin Punisher blueprint for GRAU 5.56 AR as a reward.

Why Is Pumpkin Punisher Not Working?

As reported by many, this is a recognized bug that holds back the rewards despite completing the challenge in its entirety. Clearly, this is an issue not limited only to a single user, and not reaping the rewards after a prolonged hunt drowns players into vexation.

How to Get The Pumpkin Punisher in a Warzone?

To earn the blueprint for GRAU 5.56 AR players must gather 16 Halloween themed collectibles dispersed across the map and stored in supply boxes. Once all 16 are collected, players are rewarded with the blueprint.

Location for the 16 loot items are:
1. Airport
2. Stadium
3. Hospital
4. Lumberyard
5. Superstore
6. Storage Town
7. Gulag
8. Dam
9. Boneyard
10. Hills
11. Train
12. TV Station
13. Military Base
14. Port
15. Downtown
16. Quarry

Joe Cecot, the Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at Infinity Ward has advised players to go through it all over again and they are most likely get the blueprint this time around. If a certain location was not registered in the player’s earlier stint, it more likely to get registered the second time they collect the loot from the same location.

Judging by the nature of the reply, there is no alternate way out of this. Getting all 16 collectible was a tall order task in itself and going through it again is yet another annoying adventure the players must take up in order to get the reward.

Cloud9 drops PUBG Mobile roster

Cloud9 has announced that it will be stepping away from the PUBG Mobile esports scenario. The North organisation has released its entire roster that was predominant in the same region.

Cloud9 was one of the earliest organisations to act on the booming success of mobile esports around the world. They acquired a PUBG Mobile roster in November 2018 and since then, the team has been performing well. Cloud9 won PMCO: Fall Split for NA region in 2019 and was consistent till date.

This organisation has seen its fair share of troubles when it comes to PUBG Mobile ecosystem. One of their former players, Sixless, was removed from the active roster after the player was under fire by Indian PUBG Mobile community for his controversial comments on Indian PUBG Mobile stars. Later, the player was also banned by PUBG Mobile from competing until the end of 2020.

Cloud9 was one of the most dominant teams when it comes to PUBG Mobile and were always some inches away from the top spot. Their consistent finishes in top 5 place for almost all the tournaments they played, was a commendable feat to achieve when it comes to an unpredictable game like PUBG Mobile.

Stepping down from PUBG Mobile makes these players as free agents and hence, we may see some quick roster changes from other NA rosters in the future. Through many ups and downs, Cloud9 ends its venture into PUBG Mobile esports after two fairly successful years.

Real Madrid Star Casemiro Launches CSGO Team named ‘CaseEsports’

Real Madrid and Brazil footballer Casemiro is the latest celebrity to enter the world of Esports: having formed a new team called “CaseEsports.”

The 28 year old, who has won 2 La Liga titles and 4 champions league titles for Real Madrid, is set to be a pivotal member of the Los Blancos, and now looks to expand his horizons to esports.

Initially starting with a CSGO lineup, the team will aim to compete in the Dreamhack Masters Winter, which starts from November 3. The roster, which is an all Brazilian lineup, includes Furia academy duo Yan “yepz” Pedretti and Vinicius “n1ssim” Pereira, Felipe “delboNi” Delboni from Imperial gaming and Denis “dzt” Fischer and Paulo “land1n” Felipe, who have represented Tempo Storm in the past.

Athletes and celebrities getting into Esports is not something new- with David Beckham having launched Guild Esports, Drake investing in 100 Thieves and Michael Jordan investing in the parent company of Team Liquid. Casemiro, who is himself a huge CSGO fan, told HLTV “I wanted to take it to a professional level, and just like in my career, I want them to be the best. I know that creating a new team and winning titles will take time and require a lot of work, but I hope that the players and the fans will really enjoy this project.”

Having already secured multiple sponsors, including gaming peripherals brand HyperX, the team aims to “lead the European esports scene” through “effort, perseverance and teamwork.”

As more and more athletes get into Esports, it will be interesting to see how the scene pans out, with a lot of correlations between the real and electronic sporting worlds.

PUBG Mobile Server Down? – Here’s Why

0

Tencent have issued a statement clarifying the situation surrounding PUBG Mobile in India. The publishers have stated that the Indian users will no longer have access to the game from October 30,2020.

PUBG Server Down In India –

Tencent have now announced that they are ceasing all operations related to PUBG Mobile in India from October 30, which would mean users in india will no longer be able to log into it and play the game, even though it might be already installed in their devices.

This, according to Tencent, is a step that has to be taken to comply with the interim order issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, which banned over 100 applications citing concerns over data security.

The rights to publish PUBG Mobile in India will henceforth be vested back into the hands of the original owner of the IP.

In layman’s terms, you will not be able to play Pubg mobile even if you have the APK installed, if you reside in India.

Obviously, this can still be bypassed through certain measures but this looks to be the first step towards reinstating Pubg mobile in India in the long run.

Diretide Returns To Dota 2 After Seven Years

Don’t be surprised if you find a Dota 2 fan shedding a few tears of joy today, as the game’s most popular event till date, Diretide, has made a return for the first time in seven years.

As much as you may find it hard to believe, it’s true – Valve is finally listening to the community.

Diretide is a Halloween event for Dota 2 that was originally released way back in 2012. The event made a return in 2013, but was never seen again.

The event attained such an amount of popularity that Dota 2 fans across the world started demanding Diretide’s return from Valve, but to no avail. The demands slowly turned into a meme, as the message – “Volvo giff Diretide” – took the internet by storm.

The memes got to a point that the Swedish automobile company Volvo acknowledged that even they were aware of the Dota 2 fans’ demands.

After all these years, on October 29th, 2020, Valve announced the return of Diretide to Dota 2 as this year’s Halloween event with an event trailer, and needless to say, fans were ecstatic.

This year’s Diretide features a best-of-five brawl match where players have to collect and steal candy from enemies while fighting Roshan. Players will also be able to earn points by playing both Diretide and normal Dota during the event. Every 100 point you get will land you a reward from over 75 unique items including Treasures, Voice Lines, HUD and UI items, Special cosmetic effects, and other stuff.

The event will continue till December 22nd, so fans will have a lot of time to get those points in and get the items they desire.

Netherlands Judge Rules €500K Fine Per Week To EA Until It Removes FIFA Loot Boxes

0

After a long legal battle between the Netherlands Gaming Authority and Electronic Arts, the judges in the court of Hague have given approval to fine the latter a sum of €500,000 per week till it stops selling loot boxes in their popular video game FIFA.

According to a report from Nu.nl, EA and its Swiss subsidiary responsible for the sale of FIFA will be fined €250,000 each, for a total of €500,000 per week.

In 2018, the Gaming Authority claimed that FIFA’s Ultimate Team Packs mechanic was in violation of the Gambling Act. A weekly fine of the said amount and up to a maximum of $10,000,000 was suggested by the body. This decision was later challenged by EA in court.

In their defence, FIFA claimed that their Ultimate Team packs could in no way be converted to real money and only had an in-game value associated with them. The argument was, however, dismissed by the court.

The concept of loot boxes in video games have been under scanner multiple times across several countries. In the past, many popular video games had to change their loot box mechanics to comply with the laws of certain countries.

For instance, in 2019, Valve’s first-person shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive had to introduce a new ‘X-ray scanner’ to their game after the title was under fire from France for its ‘case opening’ mechanic which seemed to promote online gambling.
