How to register for BMOC 2022

Krafton has announced a new tournament to enhance BGMI Esports in the country. The first tournament on official esports roadmap is called BMOC or Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge 2022 and will start from 4th April. Here is how you can register for it.

Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge will be a grassroot level tournament where amateur players and underdog teams can register and make their way into the upper echelon. The next tournament lined up after BMOC is BMPS 2022 and it will be a showdown between the best of the best in India.

Players are getting a fair opportunity to climb through ranks and make it to the next stage. The format of this tournament is quite simple as registered players will initially play a total of 15 matches with their team. Out of those, top 10 matches will be considered in scoreboards.

Top 512 teams will qualify for the first round and subsequently, the number will keep dropping as we go further. Top 32 teams will ultimately make it to the fourth and final round where 32 invited teams will be present. These teams will fight in four groups and top six from each group will go to the grand finals.

Players that are looking to register for BMOC 2022 can follow the steps given below:

  • Verify your email and move on to fill the rest of details like team information and team name.

After successfully completing the registration, get ready with you squad and play from 4th April to 10th April to make your way into the tournament round 1. The registration process has already started and will run till 27th March so players have ample of time.

CashMeow assaulted by tourists out a restaurant in Japan

Popular variety streamer CashMeow was assaulted by some tourist outside a restaurant in Japan, which suggests the country is not as safe as it is perceived by the rest of the world.

During one of his IRL streams at a restaurant in Japan, CashMeow found himself in the dining area of a restaurant interacting with his chat when he came across a group of tourists harassing girls in the vicinity. In an effort to protect them, the Twitch streamer called the group over to his table with a few casual questions.

The conversation did not take a violent turn until one of the perpetrators walked up to him and drank water from his glass. They were clearly drunk and had little idea that they were assaulting another person in a public space.

Once the fight started, the perpetrators threw his equipment off the table and his stream was paused, after a while, he was back with the live stream and it was evident that something violent took place and he was completely thrown off his stride.

Many witnessed the incident and have called for the perpetrators to get deported. Police reportedly dismissed the issue but the video clips will likely change their minds. Keep an eye on his social medias for more updates.

BMOC format revealed, Check Now

The new esports season of Battlegrounds Mobile India is around the corner and all the pro and semi-pro players looking to compete in the event. The registrations for the tournament are going on and will continue till 27 March 2022.

Any Indian players who have a BGMI account at level 25 or above and a ranking of platinum 5 or higher can register their teams on BGMI’s Esports Official website. BMOC will act as a qualifying event for the upcoming Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series which will feature a massive prize pool of INR 2 crore.

Krafton, the developers of the game has released the format of the event through which the teams could make their way through the BMPS 2022.

The players who have registered for BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA OPEN CHALLENGE will have to play 15 matches with their registered team members over the given time period.

The top 10 of 15 matches will be considered for evaluation and scored accordingly. In case of a tie, certain parameters such as finishes, survival time, accuracy, etc will be considered. Top 512 teams will qualify for the next round.  Note: Only the first 15 matches played with registered team members shall be deemed valid.

After the completion of In-game qualifiers, the BMOC will have a total of four rounds that will decide the ultimate champions.

Round 1 – The top 512 squads qualifying from In-Game Qualifiers will be seeded into 32 groups. Each group will have to play 5 matches each on the specified dates. The top 8 teams from each group will further qualify for Round 2 of online qualifiers.

Round 2 – The top 256 teams from Online Qualifiers Round 1 will be seeded into 16 groups. Each group will have to play 5 matches each on the specified dates. The top 4 teams from each group will proceed to online qualifiers Round 3.

Round 3 – Top 64 teams from Online Qualifiers Round 2 will be seeded into 4 groups. Each group will have to play 6 matches each on the specified dates following which the top 8 teams will qualify for Round 4.

Round 4 – Top 32 teams from Online Qualifiers Round 3 along with 32 invited teams will be seeded into 4 groups. Each group will have to play 6 matches each on the specified dates following which the top 6 teams will qualify for BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA PRO-SERIES.

Abay ‘HObbit’ Khasenov and men would play as “Players” at the upcoming ESL Pro League S15 after being flagged by ESL to avoid using their original banners citing the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict. 

In the past week, ESL through an official statement have announced that they have cut ties with the Russian government which include individuals or organizations under alleged or confirmed EU sanctions related to the ongoing political conflict between Russia and Ukraine which follows the word that no Russian based teams would be allowed to participate at the Pro League Season 15.

As earlier reported by Dexerto, going into the EPL S15, Virtus.pro would play as Outsiders as said and would gel with the updated rules and regulations set by ESL. A similar situation was also countered at the recently concluded GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022 where Team Spirit who did play under the Russian banner “Team Spirit” wore jerseys that said “PEACE”. Virtus.pro now “Outsiders” would go head to head with FURIA Esports in their Group B opener at the Pro League.

In addition to the same, Gambit has been mentioned among the two teams who won’t be able to participate at the EPL S15 under their original organization although they can compete under a different team name. Today ESL on their Twitter handle have revealed that the Moscow-based Organization would feature as “Players” in the Group C of the ongoing ESL Pro League Season 15. 

Unlike BLAST and WePlay, ESL never held the players guilty for the current conflict and gave them a safe passage to compete. In addition, they would have to change their team merchandise which should not represent anything related to the Russian ethnicity.

The Brimstone buff enables his Stim Beacon to give a 15% speed boost to his allies alongside a rapid fire boost, but there seems to be more to it than that.

Some Valorant players recently found out that Brimstone’s Stim Beacon also affects abilities. Yoru’s Gatecrash is one such ability that can be affected by the Stim Beacon and can gain a significant speed boost when used properly.

Reddit user Jim has shared this combo through a post where he demonstrates this combo. In the video, we can see the user deploying Yoru’s Gatecrash with and without Brimstone’s Stim Beacon.

After taking a look at the results, it’s evident that the Stim Beacon speeds up Yoru’s Gatecrash and reduces its traveling time by a considerable margin.

Apparently, Yoru’s Gatecrash is affected by Brimstone’s Stim Beacon and the 15% Speed Boost.

Genshin Impact’s latest limited-time community, Of Drink A-Dreaming, is one unique and refreshing event where the travelers try their hands at bartending at Diluc’s Bar Angel Share. In the event, players will get to craft drinks for some of their favorite characters while also learning more about their lore.

The event is relaxing, simple, and adds more interaction with characters, so it’s one of those FOMO events you shouldn’t miss out on. The Of Drink A-Dreaming is already live in the current game build and will last until 21st March. 

How to unlock the event?

Like every other event, the Of Drink A-Dreaming event also has a few pre-requisites that players need to complete before they can get on with their bartender duty. To start the event, you need to reach at least Adventure Rank 28 and complete the Archon Quest “The Crane Returns on the Wind” along with the Story Quest “The Spindrift Shall Never Return to the Sea.”

Once the above conditions are met, the event will be unlocked and ask you to travel to Angel’s Share tavern in the City of Mondstadt. There you need to talk to Luka standing in front of the tavern who will then teach you the basics of bartending followed by a tutorial. Once you complete the tutorial you will see two new quests: Tavern Tales and Bartender Challenge. In the Tavern Tales questline, you will get to interact with the game’s main characters and acquire new drink recipes. While in the Bartender Challenge your bartending skills will be put to test as you are asked to craft multiple drinks for customers within a set time limit.

How to unlock new recipes?

After completing the Tavern Tales, talk to Charles and select try mixing new drinks. Now you will be allowed to freely select three ingredients to unlock more recipes. Each locked recipe has a hint as to which ingredient it uses, and that’s how you figure them out. Below are some recipes

BGMI 1.9 Update Release Date and Time

Battlegrounds Mobile India is a popular battle royale game and follows the same timeline of update release as PUBG Mobile.

As this game is quite similar to PUBGM, the updates in both of the modes are identical as well. The new season in BGMI is right around the corner and here is the speculative release date of BGMI 1.9 update.

The beta update of this BGMI 1.9 update is already under testing and several usual testers are approving it for the release. The new features coming with this update are yet to be revealed but the update is coming with the next few days.

As mentioned before, the update timeline for BGMI and PUBGM is almost similar and Tencent has already announced the date of PUBGM’s next update. It will go live from 18th March at 5:30 AM IST.

If we compare this with the pre-existing updates available within BGMI, it can easily be seen that the season is ending and a new update is due. Due to this reason, BGMI could get the 1.9 update on 18th March as well. However, the time for pushing this update could not be speculated.

The current season in BGMI will end on 16th March and consecutively, the royale pass and rank season will also end by March 18. This is the supportive evidence that Krafton will mostly push the next update in the upcoming week.
