PGL has locked in China as the host of one of its upcoming Tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 events. Earlier today, the tournament organizer announced a massive $1,000,000 LAN event in China that’s all set to take place in April 2027.
The event, which is scheduled to run from April 14-26, will see 16 elite CS2 teams competing for the lion’s share of the prize pool.
14 out of the 16 teams will receive their invite as per the global VRS from the April 2027 rankings, while the remaining two spots will be reserved for the winners of the European and Asian regional qualifiers in January 2027.
Alongside the $1 million prize pool, teams will also receive an additional $300,000 VRS Invite Bonus.
The team that lands a first-place finish in the event will take home a whopping $180,000 in prize money alongside a $100,000 club share, amounting to a total of $280,000.
The entirety of the event will take place in a LAN format.
