mixwell leaves Cloud9

Oscar ‘Mixwell’ Caรฑellas just announced on his twitter that he will no longer be a part of Cloud9’s starting lineup and is looking for a team for now.

The Spanish awper mentioned that Cloud9 gave him an opportunity to redirect his career and now he wants to enjoy playing CSGO again as soon as possible.

Previously Cloud9 players’ Autimatic, daps and koosta were taken by Gen.G and the Coach left the organisation and joined EG as a statistical coach, which means Cloud9 now only has Subroza under their CSGO Banner for now. There were speculations that Cloud9 is eyeing to take over ATK roster.

Watch Dr Disrespect and Courage get csgo’d

0

Dr Disrespect might dominate the competition in titles like Fortnite, PUBG and Apex Legends, but his skills in CSGO are still superficial. While hosting his Triple Threat Challenge series which has been a staple part of his channel, where he chooses three competitive games and takes on them one by one making sure that a match is won before he occupies himself with the next one.

Yesterday, uncharacteristically, Doc chose five games for his Twitch series. He along with CouRage from 100 Thieves accomplished their challenge for Fortnite, Modern Warfare and Halo before finally going for Counter-Strike. It is safe to say Doc is far off from dominating the average player base of the game. Doc and CouRage signed up for a wingman match in Overpass which gave us quite a few hilarious moments to treasure.

A series of failed utility left both the streamers and their viewers in laughter. Doc after hilariously coming out of short tunnel near the B Bombsite flashed his own teammate and his grenade ricochet off the wall, back towards them probably leading to a small amount of team damage. The string of errors, however, didn’t cost them the round, they were successfully able to build on their lead before closing the match with a 9-4 scoreline and presumably giving up on CSGO for a while.

Their next foray was in EA title Apex legends which showed us a much more refined and confident Doc. Doc and CouRage were able to grind out a victory within an hour of playing which is definitely a respectable competition time considering how a battle royale is played out.

Review

We were invited over to try iB cricket and here’s what we think about it. The game is actually well designed and well executed. As soon as you put on the VR Headset, you will find yourself standing in the middle of a stadium with cheering crowds surrounding you on all sides. The detailing is done to perfection as you can also see the mini promotional banners and placards being held by the audience. In game customization options let you choose the type of bowling and every bowler has a varying speed and style to which you need to adjust. The game physics are extremely accurate and it does require a certain amount of skill to play. The audio visual combination makes the game extremely immersive and it feels as if you’re actually batting against the top bowlers in the world standing on the pitch of a World class stadium. The game has great potential owing to its uniqueness because we have actually never seen anything like it before.

We at TalkEsport wish iB Cricket the very best for all future operations and thank them for this amazing opportunity.

ENCE receives backlash over their explanation of Aleksib’s replacement

After the announcement of the departure of ENCE’s in-game leader Aleksi โ€˜Aleksibโ€™ Virolainen earlier this year, ENCE haven’t performed well or lived up to their high standards of gameplay which they had set back when Aleksib was still a key figure in the team. The departure of fan favorite Aleksib also came with the fact that there was no official explanation from ENCE’s side regarding their decision to replace him permanently from the team. Fans and the community haven’t been particularly happy about the enigmatic stance of the ENCE management about their move and have been complaining about it ever since.

ENCE finally tried to appease their fans on December 18th releasing a video on ENCE TV with the title โ€œDiscussing Contract Extensions & Aleksib Trade Detailsโ€. As expected, in the video, marketing director Joona โ€˜natuโ€™ Leppรคnen and CEO of ENCE Mika Kuusisto explained to their fans that after the conclusion of the Berlin Major, their management was really eager to sign in Miikka โ€˜suNnyโ€™ Kemppi and finally when they had a chance to grab him, they did so, and went on to inform Aleksib of their decision and his supposed departure on the very next day.

The information presented in the video added nothing new to the topic and thus resulted in even greater backlash from the fans and the community. Nobody seemed happy with how poorly the ENCE management had dealt with such an important and crucial topic, and how they constantly denied information to their fans regarding it.

After the massive negative backlash ENCE received from the community on almost all major platforms like YouTube, Reddit, and Twitter, it remains to be seen how they will handle it and move forward with their dealings.

Mesut Ozil removed from PES 2020 in China Over His Tweet Condemning Muslim Oppression In Xinjiang

1

The German World Cup winner Mesut Ozil has been banned from the Chinese iteration of Pro Evolution Soccer Mobile, the distributor confirmed. The Chinese company NetEase said Ozil’s harsh comments against China is what triggered such a move by them.

[In China] Qurans are burned, mosques were closed down, Islamic theological schools, madrasas were banned, religious scholars were killed one by one. Despite all this, Muslims stay quiet.”

Translation of Ozil’s Tweet by The Guardian

The Chinese Government has taken extreme steps against what appears to be a delinquency by the Arsenal playmaker. Arsenal’s Premier League game against Manchester City was not broadcasted in China last Sunday as a fallout to his comments. The Chinese claimed Ozil to be duped by fake news and no part of his statement expresses the fact. The 31 year old’s tweet was targeted to the sufferings of Uyghurs in Xinjiang of China where several camps are established to force them to part ways with Islam and adhere the Han culture as well as support the ruling Communist Party according to several reports.

The United Nation have addressed this matter earlier this year. A joint statement was released collectively by 23 Nations against the racial discrimination in the aforementioned region of China.

United States Of America’s Secretary of State Mike Pompeo became the first political figure to come public in favor of Mesut Ozil in an aggressive tweet aimed at China. Athough Ozil’s club has backed themselves out completely from this matter stating “As a football club, Arsenal has always adhered to the principle of not involving itself in politics”.

“Really Happy” not to go pro in Apex Legends says Ninja

0

Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has claimed that the decision of not going professional in Apex Legends has made him ‘really happy’.

Ninja was banned from Apex Legends only a few days ago despite of honoring Apex with the Best Multiplayer Game Award at Esport Game Award 2019 just a few prior. No official announcement has been made by EA on this matter but Ninja has spoken publicly about it to Dexerto.

โ€œI was really good at Apex, if Iโ€™d stayed on par with it I would have been one of the best players in the game, Iโ€™m really happy I stayed with Fortnite though. The competitive scene [for Apex] is so small, itโ€™s so tiny. Thereโ€™s a decent amount of players who are in it, and I actually really enjoy watching the games, but itโ€™s just very small.โ€

Said Ninja to Dexerto

Ninja goes on to say that the size of the competitive scene for Apex is what demotivates him to pursue this any further. Rightfully so, Ninja, a former professional Halo player who became a household name after he rose to global stardom with the meteoric rise of Fortnite, can justify leaving a title based on the demerits of its competitive scene.

Ninja got banned! from r/apexlegends

The competitive scene for Apex is still growing, while they have dedicated $3 Million to it, Fortnite, announced their competitive scene to marked at $40 Million, thus blowing Apex out of the water.

Ninjas fell off the professional Fortnite scene in the later parts of 2019, not taking part in the $30 Million Fortnite World Cup cements that fact. Although for 2020 Ninja has shifted his focus to Fortnite as he hope to pursue it in a professional manner.

PUBG Mobile 2019: A Humpty Dumpty take with a twist

0

The statement remains unambiguous that PUBG mobile has taken the global esports scenario to a different intensity altogether. Was it always on the top or did it make its way to the top? Like every success story, PUBG mobile had its ups and downs but slowly reached the summit and it is sensible to say that today PUBG mobile has taken the top spot in Mobile gaming and is here to stay.

The journey to success was not an easy one and it is quite clear from this story. Walking through the times since PUBG Mobile was launched in the year 2018, the amount of craze it picked up was beyond anyoneโ€™s imagination. Every player be it a student or an employee just waited for school or work to get over and return home to play some PUBG with their buddies. Why did it become so famous?

The Telecom Revolution

There are about 493 million active internet users in India today and more than half of them belong to the age group of 30 to 35. These people are young and enthusiastic who have the need, money and interest to not only try new things but set a trend. That is exactly what happened with PUBG mobile.  The telecom revolution brought in by Jio made cheap and fast internet available to everyone with a large daily data capacity. This pushed the entire mobile esports scenario as players could now download more as well as play on lower pings on the new 4G network at ridiculously cheap rates.

Leaving these reasons apart the way PUBG mobile is built is commendable too. Having a user-friendly interface combined with multiple maps and regular content updates never allowed people to get bored of the game. It can be played by all and the fun of playing with your friends in duos/ squads just jazzed up the entire feeling of the play.

The Downfall

PUBG Mobile gained traction but with that came a severe backlash for the addiction it had caused amongst the players. Numerous users complained about this very addiction that caused to disrupt their daily routine activities. This backlash caused a huge effect on the game, leading millions of people talking about its dangers and reporting it on social media sites. The addiction reached to such an extent that education went for a toss as students were spending more hours on the game than with their books. There was also an increase in the complaints claiming that PUBG Mobile cited violent behaviour in its players. The crimes and cases of people facing issues because of PUBG came to the limelight. There were literally cases of people losing mental balance, killing other people or harming themselves for the game. Such cases directed for the game to be banned in many states all over India. The game was considered negative, disrupting and harmful for the users.

Revival

Tencent took this matter into their hands and were keen on developing an ecosystem where such things were avoided. There needed organized chaos amongst the players fostering for a better and healthy gaming environment. They released an official statement citing their concerns and were ready to work alongside educators and parents to bring about organization into the game. Tencent took avid measures for the same by limiting the number of hours the game can be played daily as well as discouraging players to prioritize the game overstudies and life.

After such a major counterblast, deaths and mental imbalance, it still made its way to the top. The game having a massive fan base led to the tournaments that started making the rounds and they were truly the secret weapon to save the game from the various impositions. The tournaments were being promoted by some major platforms like Bookmyshow, Nimo.tv etc. Players and users are hooked on to watching their favourite teams and players compete against each other. The live streams of esports events featuring PUBG Mobile started to rack up impressive numbers. The recently concluded PMCO Global Finals had a concurrent viewership of 100,000 across all the 6 days.

via SensorTower

Smartphone manufacturers have also been pulled towards promoting and sponsoring the game making it reach new heights. Vodafone 5G Mobile Open Milan was the first-ever mobile tournament in the world to host an event on 5g network. The event had players play titles like Asphalt 9 and PUBG Mobile on the brand new Huawei Mate 20x 5G where we got to witness the perfect wedding of a top-notch device and unmatchable data speeds. Indiaโ€™s Entity Gaming and Synerge were a part of this first-ever 5g network event. Naturally, all of this garnered PUBG Mobile to have the highest prize pools when it came to mobile esports events.

The PUBG Mobile Club Open( PMCO) Global Finals sponsored by Vivo Nex, one of the biggest tournaments of all times having players around the globe participating for an impressive prize pool of $500,000 had fans all over the globe rise up in excitement. Especially the Indian PUBG fan base has been keenly involved because of Indian teams like Entity and Soul being part of it with a mindblowing Regional finals featuring all of Indiaโ€™s top squads. Entity finishing at 5th position was a commendable achievement as it added to the expansion of PUBG mobile in India by putting us on the Global competitive map. India was the only country to have two teams competing.

With this, the glorious journey of PUBG keeps thriving. This game truly has become one of the most loved and will always remain a game to remember even after the various controversies. It has set benchmarks in the Global Esports scenario which put mobile gaming onto the map and the numbers speak for themselves that PUBG Mobile is here to stay and slay.

NiP DOTA 2 team bids farewell to Skiter

0

In a recent blog post, the NiP management announced that they will be releasing their carry player Oliver โ€œSkiterโ€ Lepko from the official lineup. According to the post, owing to the recent changes in the NiP DOTA 2 lineup, it became increasingly difficult to achieve good results and thus the management came to the conclusion that they will be releasing Skiter from the team in favor of newer players. The post read “Today we are announcing the departure ofย Oliver โ€œSkiterโ€ Lepko, who has been playing under the Ninjas in Pyjamas banner since September of this year. The results since the signing of our new Dota 2 roster have been uneven, forcing the team to make the tough decision of replacing Skiter and welcoming new blood to the line-up. We would like to thank Oliver for his time in Ninjas in Pyjamas. Good luck with your future career as a professional Dota 2 player and remember; once a Ninja, always a Ninja.”

Following the announcement of Skiter’s departure, NiP took no time in unveiling their replacement for Skiter on the very same post. Jason โ€œTANNERโ€ Weedon will be the newest player to be inculcated into the team. He will be assuming duties of the mid-lane, while Gunnar will be moved to the carry role to fill up the gap, as per the announcement.

The in-game leader for NiP’s DOTA 2 team, Peter โ€œppdโ€ Dager said the following about Skiter on the post “Everyone on NiP appreciates the time and effort that Oliver has put into our team. We all wish we would have achieved better results but unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way. Thank you, Oliver, for your earnest effort and best of luck with your future teams.”
