Ranked #5 in the world, the CIS Professionals started with their fixture against Evil geniuses on Mirage with a win on the pistol round leaving the Americans helpless as they marched on with an unassailable lead of 5-0. With match point in the pocket already, EG did grab their map pick with Ethan holding behind the smoke on A-ramp and his shots successfully land on the Boombl4 and Guardian through the smoke. Ranked #5 in the world, the CIS Professionals started with their fixture against Evil geniuses on Mirage with a win on the pistol round leaving the Americans helpless as they marched on with an unassailable lead of 5-0. But the duo of Ethan โ€˜Ethanโ€™ Arnold and Vincent โ€˜Brehzeโ€™ Cayonte did halt the marching CIS Giants with a quick 2k each and hence getting the plant. Later in the battle joined the Trojan horse Electronic who did hold the site hiding in the firebox position who did topple every Terrorist inc the C4 carrier who entered the site. Tarik โ€˜Tarikโ€™ Celik who on paper had a low score but he did serve a great purpose with some brilliant Info which he did collect while he was lurking. Natus Vincere did end with a scoreline of 8-7 before switching to the T side. But very soon enough the Americans did concede only 2 rounds in the Ct side with Flamie showing some hope whose 1v3 clutch got denied hence giving EG an upper hand to march onto getting the match point.

With this ultimate showdown going onto Dust2 (Natus Vincereโ€™s pick), We saw EG start Strong with Brehze getting a 3k on the pistol round. Winning 3-0 on the scoreline, Naโ€™Vi did jump back on the ship with the likes of Boombl4, Electronic, Flamie gunning down the T side with some crisp shots and hence defusing the C4. Boombl4 did come out to be a spearhead for Naโ€™Vi with a 3k lagging by a score of 1-6. But the CIS giants didnโ€™t really give up with the S1mple and Guardian scoping down the Terrorists on a double AWP setup with a 2k each in the 9th round which did help them to get back in the driverโ€™s seat hence switching sides with a Scoreline of 7 for 8. After the first half, the match did really get close with the 5 EG men rushing mid in the lone strange pistol round on their CT side only to lose the round and hence giving Naโ€™Vi the upper hand on the buy economy and squaring out the score. But the Americans were way too adamant to go for a pistol-armour buy which saw them winning against a fully equipped Naโ€™Vi. With the game being so close EG really did climb up onto the score of 14-10 before Electronic and Boombl4 pulled off some scary encounters which did keep Naโ€™Vi floating. But Stanislawโ€™s men did show some resistance with turning the tables by winning the match 16-14 with Peter himself doing the honours by taking a 3k with his UMP to deny the plant.

With this win, Evil Genuises march to the semifinals and set themselves a clash with Mousesports.

Also Earlier today we saw Heroic going head to head against Team forZe In the quarterfinal.

Heroic see off forZe in Moscow, set up semi clash with Vitality.

With a 65% win rate from 20 maps, forZe started off its quarterfinal series against Heroic GG.Bet on Mirage only to regret their map pick with losing both of the pistol rounds followed by some rough buy rounds which were completely dominated by Patrick โ€œes3tagโ€ Hansen, Martin โ€œstavnโ€ Lund and Johannes โ€œb0RUPโ€ Borup. The 4th and 6th rounds seemed to be perfectly owned where e3stag and Cadian did earn themselves a 3k each with an AK and the AWP respectively. Although we did see Almazer and face crack putting up on some wild entries and some trades, but yet they were denied by the Danes who were unassailable.  With a scoreline of 1-12 on the server, forZe did open up the A site for some business as they did plant the bomb but were reduced to a 2on2 Situation and were shut down by the duo of stavn and b0RUP. On switching the sides, yet another top-notch performance from es3tag and b0RUP navigated the Danes to a swift 16-6 Victory with the likes of Cadian and Snappi too pitchinโ€™ in this sweet victory.

Coming on to Nuke which was Heroicโ€™s pick, having won both the pistol rounds, the Danes did continue to dominate over the CIS Giants in the Arena with some round wins in quick successions on the T side. Being helpless in the first half forZe did end up 3-12 before stumbling again in the pistol round on the T side of theirs, we did see Jenya โ€˜FL1Tโ€™ Lebedev, Dmitriy โ€˜Facecrackโ€™ Alekseyev, Bogdan โ€˜xsepower Chernikov building up some resistance against the Danes to figure out a comeback. In the 21st round with FL1T lurking all the way from the outer area towards the heaven, he successfully managed to pull off a 2k to bring back forZe in the driverโ€™s seat before Heroic did manage to sneak the win with Cadian doing the honours by getting a crisp 3k with his AWP while guarding the A site and hence winning 16-12.

This result does eliminate forZe from the EPICENTER gig with Team Heroic advancing onto their Semi-final clash with the Frenchmen, Team Vitality.

With more to be followed, do not forget to tune in tomorrow for the Semi-finals which are scheduled to start at 14:30 IST (10:00 Am CET).

Dr Disrespect trolls Shroud by donating

0

Shroud and Dr Disrespect have been on the apex of the Streaming Community for a prolong period. Doc being the one with a more edgy personality have always found ways to troll the former Counter Strike professional. His latest opportunity to intimidate Shroud came when he managed to best Shroud in the Code Red Modern Warfare tournament.

Shroud along with his girlfriend Bnans faced Dr Disrespect and 2017 MVP award winning World Champion Matthew “FormaL” Piper. Although this seemed to be a clear W for Doc and FormaL, they had to face some hardship to win. Shroud and Bnans put up a respectable fight but eventually went down.

The small moment of glory was suffice for Doc to mock Shroud. When Shroud went back to streaming Escape from Tarkov on Mixer, Doc hopped in with a $50 donation which came along with a message saying “You thought Hannah was enough to bring you to the championships? I made sure my ponytail was flapping in the wind for that last shotgun blast”.

It unclear that if it was Doc himself or an impersonator but Shroud assumed the sender being his former Twitch rival himself. He replied back with  “I’m assuming that’s actually Doc. We had a close game though, we almost got you!”

Dr Disrespect previously sneered Shroud on multiple occasions in the past. Shroud has mostly never countered the Doctor as he successfully dominated him across multiple games with this time being an rare exception.

Michael B. Jordan steps into Call Of Duty as an investor

0

American actor Micheal B. Jordan has stepped into the world of Call Of Duty as a Esport Investor. As his title suggest, Jordan is set to take charge of Andbox along with MLG founders Michael Sepso and Sundance DiGiovanni with the backing of Esport investment giant Sterling VC.

Activison, for the first time in history of esports has revamped traditional Call Of Duty teams from organization based to geo-localized model. Teams are based on Cities and their partnership franchise is up for the grabs by Esport organizations. The partner buy-ins are marked extremely high for which certain prominent esport organization like 100 Thieves have backed out of the game which is astounding for the fact that their CEO Matthew ‘NadeShot’ Haag is a legend in the same game.

Such high price point are acting in favor of Activision. These league based format has handed the big shots with an opportunity for financial benefits. Having the teams based around cities will help bring in the local investors in the form of celebrities who were just passionate of the sport until this point.

โ€œIโ€™m never the guy that just wants to cash out. Iโ€™m never the guy who just wants to be involved to put my name on it, I have to have some passion for it. Call of Duty, if anybody knows me, they know thatโ€™s my shit.โ€

-said the superstar from 2015 hit Creed.

This is high time to invest in this business model. Although the format is relatively fresh for Esport, it has yielded great results for NBA and Football. Having teams based on Cities will receive the backing the regional supporters. Teams will travel across the country to attend their fixtures like any other traditional sports league, fans can watch their their favorite teams more often this time around as, unlike previous years, matches will be played across most of the prominent cities.

Teams Confirmed for Call Of Duty League 2020 are:

Atlanta FaZe
Chicago Huntsmen
Dallas Empirelogo
Florida Mutineers
London Royal Ravens
Los Angeles Guerrillas
Minnesota Rร˜KKR
New York Subliners
OpTic Gaming Los Angelesl
Paris Legionlogo
Seattle Surgelogo
Toronto Ultralogo

Since then the fate of the Subroza was somewhat hazy and unclear before the player did comment on one of his tweets about the team refusing to practice after they learned about the Gen.G trade.

Na’Vi and TNC Predator gets eliminated from ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational Singapore

Day 1 of the tournament at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. This tournament took no time to intensify the atmosphere and set the pace.

The first series of the day was between two illustrious CIS Powerhouses.

Naโ€™Vi was put against Virtus Pro

Coming from different groups both had the same score of 2 Wins, 2 Loss and a Draw and so they were put to have had a CIS showdown right away. For a fact, 9Pasha who had been with Virtus Pro for over 3 years was removed from the team in September 2019 following The International 9 now would be battling for Naโ€™Vi against his old organisation.

Fast-forwarding to the series, Virtus Pro clean-swept 2-0 in a Best of 3.
Game 1 looked like a complete out draft since the very start leading Virtus Pro to victory while game 2 Naโ€™Vi had a lead in the early game but eventually, VP was able to able to turn tides into their favour.

The second series of the day was between the major champions and a rematch of MDL Chengdu Major Grand Finals.

Vici Gaming VS TNC Predator

Vici Gaming avenges back and triumphs over TNC with a 2-1 taking the series.

Vici Gaming were up against the team who sent them out to second place in the MDL Chengdu Major but it was Vici Gaming who was superior this time.

TNC looked lost an early game in all of the three games they played today against VG.

Game 1 was a long one about more than an hour, TNC flipped it over and managed to close it out in the end.

Game 2, VG didnโ€™t waste any time since the start. Winning the laning phase and going all the way being able to win it easily with Ori on a sturdy Timbersaw accompanied by a snowballing Morphling who was replicating Earthshaker most of the game for the combo.

Game 3 had a same early game story but Armel on his Leshrac suffered drastically against Oriโ€™s Viper. While midst TNC was able to run down some of VG but Eurus on Slark just got way too bigger than along with the team, bagging themselves a series win.

“I believe this is the best stack India could have had during this period” – antidote | Orgless Five | DreamHack Delhi

We had a chance to talk to the Orgless Five roster after their exit from DreamHack Delhi, their last event as a stack. We talked about the journey as Orgless Five, the lack of support, the Indian scene and the road ahead.

TE: How does it feel to be part of an international event like DreamHack, especially the fact that it is happening in India?

antidote: It feels really good. We are the only team representing India in CSGO here. I was expecting more from us but we couldn’t qualify for the playoffs. We are happy with the performance because we had only one day of practice. All things into consideration, we did some damage and I am proud of my teammates.

TE: What did you make out as the difference between you guys and the international teams here at DreamHack Delhi?

antidote: The gameplan. I don’t think there was much difference in individual skill levels. You cannot play a total team game with just a day of practice under the belt.

TE: Along with the only Indian representation here, you guys were also the only team without the support of an organisation. You have been so for the longest of times and have still managed to dominate the Indian scene for a fair period. How hard was it to stick together and continue after Signify shut down their operations?

antidote: To be honest, it was really hard (for us). But, I believe this is the best stack India could have during this period. We all believed that and the belief made us stay together for such a long period. It was a very good run. I am proud of what we achieved during this period. We had to go our separate ways now and sign with organisations to survive and get ahead in the scene. But, it was a pleasure to share the server with these boys.

TE: Despite the continuous increase in organisations entering the Indian Esports scene, it was quite surprising to see you guys go so long without one. Why was it so?

antidote: I guess we were unlucky. We were in talks with a few organisations but could not close the deal.

HuNtR: Organisations don’t believe much in gaming (CSGO) right now. I think in another year or two, when more and more international events like these keep happening here, more organisations would come in to support the scene.

TE: What do you think of the investment coming in? Fnatic picked up an Indian PUBG Mobile squad. There are reports Vitality are planning to invest in India. Is the potential in the Indian Esports scene there for CSGO as well or is it booming for other games?

HuNtR: Esports is a spectator game. I think PUBG Mobile is attracting more viewership, hence the entry of so many sponsors and organisations. If that happens in CSGO – the various peripheral brands come in as sponsors – then we will see the Indian CSGO scene grow to be a better sport.

haiVaan: I think any coming investment from outside India is going to focus on hosting tournaments here due to the enormous fanbase and potential market opportunity. Esports wise, PUBG Mobile is likely to be the focus, if at all. Let’s see.

TE: Talking about you (HuNtR) individually, you were prevalent in the scene but then took a break to focus on your professional career in snooker. For the people who do not know about that side of your life, could you elaborate on that.

HuNtR: In 2016, I was the number 2 overall in senior category in snooker. I represented my country in 6-7 international events. I won 2 bronze medals – an Asian Championship and a World Championship.

TE: Are you back again for good?

HuNtR: Yes. You can say that.

TE: Coming to you HaiVaan, you were one of the OG Optic India members. You have done so much in the past year and more. Now, with the Orgless Five adventure coming to an end, what are your plans ahead?

haiVaan: Well, me and HuNtR have now joined U Mumba Esports. We will be looking to take whatever we have done so far forward under their banner and we hope to keep delivering performances for our fans to cherish.

TE: Coming to you, pashasahil, you are currently without an organisation. Are you actively seeking an opportunity to get back into the thick of things?

pashasahil: Yea, definitely. I am looking for an opportunity. I had a great period with Invictus earlier. I would really like to get my head down and focus on competing.

TE: Any parting message to all the fans who supported you through your journey as Orgless Five. Any shoutouts and message to the scene in general?

Orgless Five: Shoutout to all the Orgless fans. Thank you for the support. We hope we get a chance to play with the same lineup again under an organisation which will keep supporting us and not leave us in between. Keep supporting us in different teams.

haiVaan: It is definitely sad to part ways with this lineup, mostly because of the lack of support. But, a huge shoutout to all the fans and my teammates. Keep supporting us. Keep supporting CSGO. This is the game that has history. It’s been here for years. It’s not as big as PUBG Mobile in India right now. But, with everyone’s help, we can get there.

HuNtR: The Optic India thing helped the Indian scene to a huge extent. We got exposure. Sorry for my language but unfortunately, one guy fu*ked all of us, the entire scene. I would just like to request the international organisations to come forward and give us (the scene) another chance because everyone deserves a second chance in life. The talent is here as you can see. We just need more support.
