After the announcement of the departure of ENCE’s in-game leader Aleksi ‘Aleksib’ Virolainen earlier this year, ENCE haven’t performed well or lived up to their high standards of gameplay which they had set back when Aleksib was still a key figure in the team. The departure of fan favorite Aleksib also came with the fact that there was no official explanation from ENCE’s side regarding their decision to replace him permanently from the team. Fans and the community haven’t been particularly happy about the enigmatic stance of the ENCE management about their move and have been complaining about it ever since.

ENCE finally tried to appease their fans on December 18th releasing a video on ENCE TV with the title “Discussing Contract Extensions & Aleksib Trade Details”. As expected, in the video, marketing director Joona ‘natu’ Leppänen and CEO of ENCE Mika Kuusisto explained to their fans that after the conclusion of the Berlin Major, their management was really eager to sign in Miikka ‘suNny’ Kemppi and finally when they had a chance to grab him, they did so, and went on to inform Aleksib of their decision and his supposed departure on the very next day.

The information presented in the video added nothing new to the topic and thus resulted in even greater backlash from the fans and the community. Nobody seemed happy with how poorly the ENCE management had dealt with such an important and crucial topic, and how they constantly denied information to their fans regarding it.

After the massive negative backlash ENCE received from the community on almost all major platforms like YouTube, Reddit, and Twitter, it remains to be seen how they will handle it and move forward with their dealings.
