In a recent blog post, the NiP management announced that they will be releasing their carry player Oliver “Skiter” Lepko from the official lineup. According to the post, owing to the recent changes in the NiP DOTA 2 lineup, it became increasingly difficult to achieve good results and thus the management came to the conclusion that they will be releasing Skiter from the team in favor of newer players. The post read “Today we are announcing the departure of Oliver “Skiter” Lepko, who has been playing under the Ninjas in Pyjamas banner since September of this year. The results since the signing of our new Dota 2 roster have been uneven, forcing the team to make the tough decision of replacing Skiter and welcoming new blood to the line-up. We would like to thank Oliver for his time in Ninjas in Pyjamas. Good luck with your future career as a professional Dota 2 player and remember; once a Ninja, always a Ninja.”

Following the announcement of Skiter’s departure, NiP took no time in unveiling their replacement for Skiter on the very same post. Jason “TANNER” Weedon will be the newest player to be inculcated into the team. He will be assuming duties of the mid-lane, while Gunnar will be moved to the carry role to fill up the gap, as per the announcement.

The in-game leader for NiP’s DOTA 2 team, Peter “ppd” Dager said the following about Skiter on the post “Everyone on NiP appreciates the time and effort that Oliver has put into our team. We all wish we would have achieved better results but unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way. Thank you, Oliver, for your earnest effort and best of luck with your future teams.”
