59 year old CSGO streamer clutches live on stream to prove age is just a number

0

59-year-old CS:GO streamer IthemanTurk clutched live on his stream and proved to the world that age is just a number and with proper skill and game sense, just about anyone can clutch a game. In round 5 of his game, the old man was stuck in B-site on Mirage in a 2 vs 2 post-plant while playing the terrorist side. On the B hold, IthemanTurk spotted a CT jumping out of B apartments and instantly capitalized on him, but to his dismay, his teammate got traded by another CT AWPer who caught him off-guard from Market. With a 1 vs 1 left to clutch, the old man showed no sign of panic or pressure and pushed towards the CT AWPer in the market, he locked onto his head as soon as he got the peek and deleted him from the server with a crisp headshot. He finished off the clutch in style, but he also didn’t forget to pay his last respects to the dead CT in the market by teabagging him. He can be seen heartily laughing and saying โ€œNothing like a little teabag,โ€ to his teammates at the start of the next round.

This clutch coming out from a guy aged 59 is no joke, and it goes on to prove that there is no age to play video games, as long as you have the necessary skills, you can do just about anything and pull out some of the most impossible clutches in-game. We hope to see more of such passionate gamers like IthemanTurk in the future who inspire us to keep grinding the games we love and prove to the world that age is nothing but a number.

Maryland MC Sir Robert Bryson Hall II aka Logic becomes the latest hypebeast from the music industry to boom on the live streaming community. The Incredible True Story creator proved on a live stream that he can drop hard bars not just while solving a Rubik’s cube but while crushing his opposition in Modern Warfare as well.

Logic isn’t new to this industry, in fact, he is one of the O.Gs to have been here since forever. His relationship with FaZe Clan goes back to 2010 when the 29 Year Old MC was paving a way for himself in the rapping business by dropping multiple mixtapes. The songs from those mixtapes were widely used in multiple videos of the American esports organization, the most significant of which being the IllCam Teamtages. IllCam was a series of montages from FaZe which featured insane 360 No Scops, Quickscope and most importantly Trickshots.

Lately, Logic has been religiously streaming on Twitch and has garnered 48000 followers, with his streaming peaking at 29000 viewers on 14th December. Bobby was later joined by two very prominent personalities of the streaming industry, Ninja and Myth who were contributed to his viewership to a little extent. PUBG Mobile hits 600 million downloads and $1.5 billion in lifetime earnings

1

Currently the most eminent yet notorious mobile title, PUBG Mobile has hit 600 million downloads worldwide and a whooping $1.5 Billion in lifetime revenue. The game has had its downfall but it came back so strong that it now looks invincible. Analytics firm Sensor Tower confirms that the game has earned more than $1.5 billion since the beginning of 2019 and major credit for this goes to the monetization of the game in China.

Released last year on March 19, PUBG Mobile has had its own moments of defeat and glory in India. The game received a frenzy of negativity online after an emulator controversy erupted which defamed majority of the content creators and emulator streamers. PUBG Mobile was also associated with a lot of criminal cases and death incidents which made the game famous for all the wrong reasons. The Government had to step in and impose bans in certain states of India against PUBG Mobile. During this time of turmoil, the esports scene surrounding this game came through to save the damsel in distress.

The competitive scene of PUBG Mobile is filled with year round exciting events in which we saw higher engagement from Indian squads this year. Prominent names like Entity Gaming, Team Soul, Synerge, 8Bit and countless more sparked the Indian mobile gaming scene like never seen before. The entrance of an international organization namely Fnatic to come and acquire and Indian Pubg Mobile lineup also created waves within the system.

PUBG Mobile’s success has slingshot mobile gaming above PC gaming in India and has put evergreen esports titles like Dota 2 onto the back seat. The exclusion of Dota 2 from Dreamhack Delhi invitational 2019 and the disbanding of Global Esports Dota 2 lineup confirm the fact that the game’s future is in grave danger. In the coming years, PC gaming as a whole might come under similar tension unless the community steps up to equate the balance.

To help you understand the gravity of the situation, market research firm Newzoo has reported that mobile games are expected to earn $68.5 billion by the end of the year. This amount represents almost half of the total games market. PUBG Moible’s success could also be accredited to the game’s optimization for lower end devices, constant updates and varieties of game modes as well as a thriving esports scene.

The fact that Mobile Gaming is getting bigger and better at an unprecedented rate but PC gaming is merely trying to hold on and sustain right where they are. Such big numbers and figures open doors for more investments from international esports giants into mobile gaming as clearly we can see, the future lies right here.

Shroud loses 85% of his viewership after moving to Mixer

69

Michael โ€œShroudโ€ Grzesiek the ex counter-strike professional and world-renowned streamer had announced in October that he would be leaving popular streaming platform Twitch and moving to Microsoft’s own streaming platform Mixer based on an exclusive streaming contract that he had signed with them.

According a report that surfaced recently by StreamMetrics, Shroud had lost a chunk of his viewers during his exodus to Mixer. The report compares Shroud’s unique viewers on Twitch back in October which was 718,000ย to a measly 231,000 unique viewers which he collected on his Mixer stream during November. The report clearly mentions that only 15% of Shroud’s US viewers remained loyal to him and watched him on Mixer while the rest of the 85% do not make the jump to Mixer. It also adds that 47% of Shroud’s US viewership on Mixer in November came from those who watched him on Twitch in October.

According to the report, more than half of Shroud’s November Mixer US viewers were new to Mixer. This meant that 127,000 US viewers who watched Shroud on Mixer, did not watch any Mixer channel in October and were totally new to the platform. Thus, even though Shroud lost a chunk of his viewers in the process, Microsoft had already gained a lot of new users on its streaming platform. It remains to be seen if Shroud can further grow his viewership on the new platform in the coming months, and allow Microsoft to cement Mixer as a powerful streaming platform in the market.

Online qualifiers will allow the best of the best players to have a chance at making it to the onsite event for one of the each scheduled contests. Eight players from the qualifiers will then battle it out at the European Tour onsite event. The esports industry allows the European Tour to engage with our existing audience in a different way and attract new fans outside of our traditional demographic through our broadcast and digital platforms. Our inaugural event in Denmark earlier this year gave a glimpse into the popularity of esports and we are looking forward to launching the golfโ€™s first esports Tour in 2020.โ€

DreamHack as per the partnership will provide world class streaming of all the six esport events of the European eTour series for the fans across multiple platforms including broadcast, digital and social media platforms.

MATUMBAMAN snowballs in his LAN debut match with Team Secret

One of the most feared position 1 carry players of the DOTA 2 competitive scene, Lasse โ€œMATUMBAMANโ€ Urpalainen finally made his LAN debut with Team Secret in the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational. MATUMBAMAN had to bid farewell to his patron team earlier this year when Team Liquid decided to remove him from their active roster back in June, after being removed, MATUMBAMAN had announced that he would be taking a break from competitive DOTA for the first Major of the season. On 4th November, MATUMBAMAN officially ended his competitive break and joined the lineup of Team Secret. The ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational marks his first LAN game with his new team and he totally lived up to the hype of his fans.

Team Secret were matched up against the CIS powerhouse Virtus.pro. The team did face some issues in their debut match with the new lineup because Yeik โ€œMidOneโ€ Nai Zheng had to stand-in for their star support player Yazied โ€œYapzOrโ€ Jaradat who was not playing in the tournament. But, the small adjustment in the team roles had no impact on the overall excellence of the game that Team Secret played and they easily overpowered Virtus.pro 2-0 in the Best-of-Three showdown.

Game one ended with Team Secret taking a massive lead of almost 20k networth and ending the game in just under 30 minutes. MATUMBAMAN who took control of Anti Mage in game one had an insane performance with a massive KDA of 14/0/7. Game two was no different as Team Secret outclassed Virtus.pro with MATUMBAMAN taking on the reigns of Ursa and demolishing the Virtus.pro lineup going 27/1/8 KDA during the game.

MATUMBAMAN surely impressed the fans with such an outstanding performance on the very debut match with his new team. Now, we can’t wait to find what the Finnish pro has in store for us as we progress further into the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational tournament.

Fortnite Summer Smash 2020 dates finally announced

0

Fortnite competitive scene has been suffering from a severe lack of LAN based tournaments ever since the conclusion of the Fortnite World Cup boasting a prize pool of $30 million, back in July. But, finally, to the joy of the fans and the community, their wait is thankfully over and the next big LAN event for Fortnite has been announced. The Fortnite Summer Smash 2020 is going to make its pompous return in 2020 and is all set to kick-off during the Australian summer season.

The tournament will be a two day LAN event at the Melbourne Park, Australia, lasting between 1st and 2nd February according to Ticketmaster. The event will exclusively be available to those in Australia only. Further details about the event are currently scheduled for release on undisclosed dates later on.

IOC prefers VR sports games in the Olympics over traditional esport titles like CSGO

1

The esports community was all excited about the fact that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) had finally acknowledged esports as a sport and decided to incorporate an array of esports titles in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Sadly, things didn’t go according to plan and the IOC recently announced that it was not ready to incorporate esports in the Olympic games just yet. The IOC in its 8th summit came to the conclusion that instead of the more generic esports titles like DOTA 2, CSGO, and LOL, it was for the best to promote VR sports-based titles which emulate and stimulate traditional sports.

A recent blog post regarding the 8th summit of the IOC read “With regard to electronic games simulating sports, the Summit sees great potential for cooperation and incorporating them into the sports movement. Many sports simulations are becoming more and more physical thanks to Virtual and Augmented Reality which replicate the traditional sports.” The statement further continued and read “With regard to other electronic games, the Summit concluded that, at this stage, the sports movement should focus on players and gamers rather than on specific games. This focus on individuals should promote participation in sport and its benefits as well as a healthy lifestyle at all levels, including a health management model for elite esports competitors including both physical and mental health.”ย

IOC president Thomas Bach further explained that the decision was made because “some egames are not compatible with the Olympic values,” claiming that certain titles “promoted violence or discrimination.” These statements makes us question the stance of the IOC about esport as a sport in general and their skeptic treatment of the topic. What remains to be seen is if the exponential growth of esports as a sport in the coming years is capable of changing the stubborn stance of the IOC about it.
