Despite retirement, ScreaM tops headshot charts in CSGO

Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom may have cemented his position as the “Headshot Machine” long ago, but few would’ve expected that he’d retain the title even months after his retirement from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the competitive FPS title by Valve.

Taking a glance at the HLTV profile of the 26-year-old reveals that the former CSGO star has the highest headshot percentage and headshots per round in CSGO.

Currently, he rocks an all-time HSP of 68.1% trailed by Twistzz at 62%. ScreaM’s headshots per round count is also a whopping 0.48, which, needless to say, is a significant number when considered in the highest levels of competitive CS.

ScreaM has been a part of the competitive Counter-Strike scene since 2010, starting with Counter-Strike: Source. The Belgian star currently rose to fame during his times with teams like Kinguin, Titan, and G2. He was later signed by Team Envy in 2017 and remained there for over a year. ScreaM ended his CS career in team GamerLegion where he announced his retirement in August 2020.

The approximate total winnings of ScreaM from professional Counter-Strike are just under $250,000 USD.After quitting Counter-Strike, ScreaM chose to pursue a career in competitive Valorant. He played for team ‘fish123’ in his initial Valorant days before eventually being picked up by Team Liquid due to his remarkable display of skills in the competitive shooter by Riot Games.

His most recent achievement includes landing a third-place finish at the BLAST Twitch Invitational in September with Liquid.

Wondering how he does what he does? Here’s a list of his gaming gear and his in-game CSGO settings as mentioned on his Liquipedia page.

The essential resources’ download size is approximately 200MB and the hence, the game size is almost halved if no additional resources are downloaded.

PUBG Mobile India: Major Developments before the game relaunch

PUBG Mobile is finally back in India and this comeback is huge for Krafton and its upcoming ventures. The company is making a large amount of financial and logistical investments in the country and this can play a huge role if they are able to tap into the mobile gaming market that has been flourishing in the country for the last few years.

Krafton Merger

Krafton Inc. is a South Korean video game holding company. The company was created to better align all its subsidiaries and itself under a unified brand and PUBG Corporation was one of the subsidiaries.

Recently, PUBG Corp. merged with Krafton and the entirety of the latter was acquired by Krafton. This acquisition included PUBG and PUBG Mobile Korea and now, PUBG Mobile India will fall under the same category.

PUBG Mobile severed ties with Tencent and partnered with Microsoft

Since the ban, Krafton was setting up perfectly for its return in India in the form of PUBG Corporation. The company started by severing its ties with Chinese conglomerate Tencent games for the region and then, assured the PUBG fans in India that the game will make a comeback soon.

After being silent for quite a while, Krafton made a collaboration announcement with Microsoft Azure to host its data, including PUBG Mobile. This strengthened the possibility of PUBG Mobile’s comeback in India and then, the final announcement came in where Krafton stated their full-scale return.

Official Announcement

Apart from PUBG Mobile return, Krafton as a whole is entering India to set-up for a sustainable future in the country. The company revealed its plans to invest $100M in the country to contribute to the development of the Indian video game, esports, IT, and entertainment industries.

Krafton will establish a branch office in India and employ at least 100 people specializing in game development, business, and esports. This can be the company’s first step to set-up in India for the long haul. These investments will also largely contribute to the upcoming PUBG Mobile esports league in the country. This will be the first and biggest PUBG Mobile tournament with a league structure exclusively formatted for India.

Krafton seemingly has big plans for the country and even though the entire roadmap of this large amount of investment is not clarified, the commitment itself can be considered as a testament to a bright future of PUBG Mobile in India.

PUBG Mobile esports league in India would be huge

PUBG Mobile return in India is one of the biggest things to boost mobile esports in the country. PUBG Corporation is not only bringing the game back but also investing heavily in the region to flourish their business and PUBG Mobile’s esports ecosystem in India.

Recently, PUBG Mobile Pro TSM-Entity Ghatak revealed some insights about the future of the game’s esports industry and if they turn out to be true, a promising future awaits the mobile esports industry in India.

Abhijeet ‘Ghatak’ Andhare shedded some light on the upcoming exclusive PUBG Mobile league and its humongous prize pool. According to him, PUBG Mobile esports will have massive prize money of ₹6 crores for the top spot and the player salaries can range from ₹40,000 to ₹2,00,000.

PUBG Corporation revealed its plans to launch an exclusive league structured PUBG Mobile tournament in India and if parallels are drawn between PUBG Mobile Japan League and this, some similarities can be easily spotted.

PUBG Corp. announced a massive esports league in Japan and the structure of this tournament can be followed for the Indian region. PMJL follows a seasonal format with a prize pool of about $2.8 million and looking at the amount speculated by TSM Ghatak, the prize pools lie close to one another.

Another important similarity is that the mentioned salary structure will be followed in PMJL and hence, the Indian league can be very similar to the Japanese one.

Valorant users could change region without losing their achievements, skins by mid 2021

0

The region lock for Valorant has been a menace for users ever since the onset of the game. To change the region, users cannot directly change the region in-game.

The user has to contact the customer support service on their website and the customer support executive would proceed with the request. But the regional change comes with a cost.

On changing the region, the user would lose their unlocked agents, ranks, achievements, and even the purchased skins. This means that all the data would reset and you will have to once again start from the beginning.

This did not go down well with the community. The players have been asking for a feature to manually change their account’s region without contacting customer support or losing their valued achievements and expensive skins.

During an “Ask Valorant” session dated November 19, one of the enthusiasts asked, “Will we ever be able to transfer account regions without losing hundreds of dollars of skins and hundreds of hours of progress?” Ask Valorant is a Q&A session hosted by the Riot Games Dev team every other week.

To the questioner’s surprise, Riot Games revealed that this feature has been on their list and it is likely to be added by mid-2021.

“This is something we definitely know is important, and it’s on our list behind a couple of other critical priorities for VALORANT. We’d like it to be sooner, but it’s looking like this option will be available towards the middle of 2021,” said Senior Producer Naoise Creaven.

PUBG Mobile India: Pre-Register Link removed from TapTap

0

The PUBG Mobile India section from TapTap Store has been taken down. The game is no longer available for pre-registration in this third-party application store and can potentially come back when the game is fully launched in India.

PUBG Mobile India is the localized version of famous the battle-royale game which is yet to be launched for the region.

PUBG Mobile was banned in India due to privacy concerns and after a long wait, the developers have announced that a special version tailored for the Indian audience will be launched very soon.

This announcement evoked a sense of relief for the Indian fanbase and soon, the question and speculation about its launch date started making headlines. Amidst all of this, TapTap; a third-party application store for android users; listed PUBG Mobile India as one of the apps available on their store.

After visiting the tab, it was observed that the game was not available and only a pre-register section was added. This was probably done to give access to its users as soon as the game was officially launched but it was recently taken down. The pre-register button now highlights the message ‘unavailable’. The reason for this tab shutting down is not specified but presumably, the listing might have been confusing for most of the users and hence was taken down.

PUBG Mobile India is not officially released to download and while there have been rows of speculation about its launch, it is better to wait for the official announcement made by PUBG Corporation.
