Tencent has released the most anticipated update of PUBG Mobile global version. This new update is termed as PUBG Mobile 1.4 update and features the new ‘Godzilla vs Kong’ Mode and users can use the link given below to directly download this new update. Alongside this new mode, several other changes have been made to the game. .

PUBG Mobile releases seasonal updates with several tweaks and new content to entertain their player base with unique gameplay each season. The developers announced a unique collaboration in March where Tencent partnered with the action film Godzilla vs Kong on the occasion of the game’s third anniversary.

This collaboration promised a new in-game mode especially dedicated around the theme of the movie. This mode is termed as ‘Godzilla vs Kong’ mode and the two mighty creatures will make an appearance in the matches.

Kaplan Singapore and Murdoch University support youth development in esports

Kaplan in Singapore and its university partner, Murdoch University, announce their joint support for Campus Legends, an esports platform that sees the development of young gaming talents in Singapore.

Organized by the Singapore Cybersports & Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) for the third year, this is the first time a PEI is supporting the event. Students from Kaplan and Murdoch University will compete in Campus Legends, an opportunity to help aspiring youth in the gaming industry level up in terms of skill sets.

To be held from 12 June to 8 August 2021, Campus Legends is an inter-school tournament featuring two of the most popular esports titles in Singapore — Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and League of Legends.

Through the partnership, Kaplan and Murdoch University aim to actively support aspiring gaming and esports talent in Singapore by raising awareness on avenues to acquire the skills needed to work in both the international gaming industry and information technology industry. The partnership also offers a valuable experience for the students to showcase their talent in competitive gaming.

Four teams (two for each esports title), comprising five players each, will represent Kaplan and Murdoch University to compete in the tournament.

Kaplan and Murdoch University recognise the fast-growing gaming industry in Singapore. They provide relevant Diploma and Degree programmes for students to gain a competitive edge in areas, such as games development, software design and production, mobile application design, as well as marketing and events management, developing ready talent to contribute to the sector.

Mr Joe Keen Poon, President at Kaplan in Singapore said: “As Singapore ramps up plans to anchor its position as the region’s esports hub, building the capabilities of our human capital will be a critical success factor. Kaplan and our university partner, Murdoch University are thrilled to partner with SCOGA this year, allowing our students the opportunity to participate in this meaningful youth-driven esports event in Singapore. Asia, the driving force for esports growth worldwide, will continue to see the potential for the esports industry’s eco-system flourish at an exponential rate.

“Through relevant courses in areas such as games development, events management, marketing and communications, we are committed to doing our part to help local talent level up in terms of in-demand skill sets and stand out among the competition as they pursue their passions in this area.”

Is it possible to play Valorant on MacOS?

Till now, you can’t play Valorant on your Macbook or iMac. However, is Riot planning to bring Valorant on Mac? Apparently, the answer is no. The game is non-translatable to Mac because of the Valorant’s anti-cheat software Vanguard.

According to a Riot Engineer,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but there are no current plans for Valorant to support Mac OSX. For now, to play Valorant you’ll just have to bite the bullet and free up space for bootcamp or build a Windows PC.

I do feel for you here though. I worked on porting LoL to Mac native all those years ago and have seen firsthand the development time it takes to port to / maintain Mac. As much as we’d like to reach every platform and player we have to look at where our development time is most effective for the entire player base.

Are you wondering what is Bootcamp? It is basically a multi-boot utility tool that lets you install Windows OS on your Mac.

After installing Windows on your Mac, you can install Valorant and play the game. However, you may not get good performance. Keep that in mind.

Valorant Servers will be down today for 2.09 Patch Maintenance

Valorant servers will go offline for a scheduled maintenance from 14:00 PDT on May 11 as Riot looks forward to ship the brand new 2.09 update. This patch will see a new game mode called “Escalation” being introduced to the Valorant community which will reportedly let players on each team lock in on the same agent.

The new game mode has been inspired from League of Legends’ “One for all” mode, a title also by Riot. This will be followed by an agent nerf alongside minor changes on the recently launched map, “Breeze”.

The upcoming game mode, named ‘Replication’, was teased by Riot Games in a Tweet today. The attached video shows the initial looks at the new game mode.

Please note: For users in India, Valorant will be unavailable to play on May 12 from 2:30 AM IST.

New Valorant Tethered Realms Skin Bundle Leaked

We’re only hours away from the release of the highly anticipated Valorant Patch 2.09 and the upcoming ‘Replication Mode’, and a new bundle of entirely new weapon skins have already been leaked on the internet.

This new bundle, named ‘Tethered Realms’, has gotten Valorant fans across the world hyped due to its unique skin design and the dual-knives. (Yes, you read that right)

The ability to wield dual-knives is undoubtedly the feature that most fans are looking forward to seeing in-game. You can take a look at it here:

Sword Valorant

In a recent Valorant dev talk released by ‘aSmoogl’, the developers showcase the skins of the Tethered Realms bundle and point out their unique characteristics that make them stand out from the other skins released in the game till now. You can take a look at the showcase here.

The Tethered Realms bundle will feature skins for the following weapons:

  • Melee
  • Ghost
  • Guardian
  • Vandal
  • Operator

The Melee weapon can be upgraded to level 2 to be able to dual-wield it with a sword.

No specific release date or price of this skin bundle has been revealed by Riot as of yet.

Valorant 2.09 Patch Notes, Replication mode introduce

Riot will finally be shipping the most awaited game mode “Replication” in Valorant through the 2.09 Patch update. This brand new game mode will see players from both sides compete in a ‘best of 9 rounds’ format where each team would have the same set of agents. The latter has been inspired by League Of Legends’ ‘One for all’ game mode, a title also by Riot.

Replication will go on to replace the game mode ‘Escalation’ and will be available on the playlist for a 2 week period until Riot comes up with a new idea. Alongside Escalation, Viper too will be getting a nerf which reduces her Passive Toxin i.e. the Instant decay damage from 50 to 30.

Also, the two-week-old map Breeze would be hit with minor changes. Timeouts have finally arrived and would be made available in the custom games played in the Tournament mode.

On Escalation, Valorant’s production manager Lisa Ohanian stated,

We definitely took inspiration from League’s One-For-All mode, but there’s so much that’s different between our games – for example, our roster is a fraction of the size of theirs – that we needed to make a lot of decisions differently too.

Valorant Replication Mode will let Players Lock in on the Same Agents

Only a few days ago Riot Games has revealed an upcoming game mode called ‘Replication’. The highly anticipated game mode will reportedly let players on each team lock in on the same agent.

The Replication mode that’s set to temporarily replace Escalation will feature similar mechanics like the ‘One for All mode’ in Riot’s popular MOBA League of Legends. Players on the same team will be able to vote for an agent to lock in on. The agent receiving the maximum votes will be automatically picked by the entire team.

Needless to say, this mode can potentially have an overwhelming room for creativity. Players can easily turn the tides of a battle with five Sage ultimates or smoke out entire bombsites with a chain of Brimstone smokes.

“With Replication, we are looking to create exciting and novel moments by widening the player theory-crafting space while highlighting Agent abilities,” Game Designer Kyle Powell said. “Quintupling down on Agents that were balanced around normal Agent restrictions, we’ve created lots of hilarious near game-breaking plays for players to discover.”

Players will receive the same amount of XP in this upcoming game mode as they do in unrated.

The release date of the Replication game mode hasn’t been revealed by Riot as of yet, but it’s expected to land alongside Patch 2.09 which’s likely to be released tomorrow.
