Allu leaves ENCE CSGO active roster

ENCE on Twitter have announced that Aleksi ‘allu’ Jalli will be moving to the inactive position on the team after the player has cited personal issues behind his decision.

Allu has decided to take an indefinite break from Counter Strike: Global Offensive and will immediately be replaced by  Olek “hades” Miskiewicz on ENCE’s roster as a stand-in. The 28-year-old Finnish future stated in his tweet, reporting “hectic years” with a minimal amount of breaks eventually leading him to experience burnouts and feel drained, inside and outside of the server.

This is the first time Allu will not feature on ENCE’s lineup since his addition to the team back in 2018. Most recently, ENCE were unable to get out from Flashpoint season 3’s closed qualifier after losses to Anonymo and DBL PONEY made allu speculate over his decision on a much more serious note.

Over allu’s decision, ENCE released a statement,

The hectic nature of our sport takes its toll and as such Aleksi “allu” Jalli has indicated a need to take a leave of absence for personal reasons. Together with Head Coach Eetu “sAw” Saha and GM Niklas “Willkey” Ojalainen and the rest of the team we have taken the step to accommodate this and allu will be sidelined from action for the time being. Wellbeing and ability to operate in full form is a top priority for us and we hope to see a fully refreshed allu on the servers.

As mentioned above, Olek “hades” Miskiewicz has been named as the temporary replacement for allu, who will help ENCE compete against SKADE at the upcoming LOOT.BET Season 9. In the absence of allu, Hades might go on to play under ENCE at the Elisa Invitational as well, a $100,000 Online event, to be played from June 3 – July 3.

Corpse Husband’s Spotify Page Saturated With Random Content

Corpse Husband’s musical career has been smooth so far but would have been better if Spotify would handle his content a bit better than they are doing.

One of the biggest YouTube streamers Corpse Husband had ventured out in music post Among Us success and Spotify is the platform distributing his songs. However, as good as Spotify is, Corpse seems to always run into some trouble with them. Previously it was his songs missing out on Spotify playlist features and now the music streaming service is putting random content on Corps’s artist page.

Having a Spotify page with random content often misleads the audience besides promoting other artists in a way that does not benefit Corpse anyhow. It is understandable that he does not have many songs on the platform which gives for random content to pop up. Rightfully so, Corpse Husband is anything but satisfied with the way they have handled his content so far.

“99% of the time I @ a music distribution service, it’s because some trash artist off using their service abused it to get their music on my page,” said Corpse. “In this case I saw it coming a week early, warned spotify, they reassured me it was taken off 100% and it still ended up there lmao.” he added.

“Anyone can upload anything onto any independent artists spotify, and there’s no defense against it,” disagreed Corpse. “Isn’t that f***ing ridiculous?”

Moments after his Tweet went up, Spotify were quick to address the issue and got his Artist Page back on track, free of any random content. Corpse’s music career seems to be growing in full throttle and now will be the worst time from anyone to be on bad terms with him.

GTA NoPixel RP community mourns the loss of Misty Mocha roleplayer

0

In a Tweet posted on 11th May by a fellow NoPixel roleplayer, RevRoach revealed that the popular roleplayer, Misty Mocha aka Alex, has passed away following her battle with cancer.

“@ The NoPixel community. We lost a Roleplayer, Alex aka Misty Mocha :(,“ RevRoach tweeted out. He also attached a twit longer link that reads:

She was pretty new but was always down to roll with whatever. She played a character that was tough, determined, mellow, and brave. She often opened Smoke on the Water alone and held it down for the business. She sniped queue like a boss and took advantage of the NoPixel world. She got her hands dirty, made friends, enemies, frenemies, and would always find a moment to ask how you were doing.

Following his tweet, the NoPixel community also came through and started responding with wishes and prays. Other roleplayers also responded to the tweet explaining how they had hung out with her during RP sessions and had plans to have more RP play sessions with her. Many roleplayers did not know what Alex was going through in real life and felt saddened by the sudden news.

Alex had left a note for everyone with whom she had roleplayed before in the Twitlonger that RevRoach posted.

Hey! If you are reading this, it means I am dead and the fucking cancer finally got me lol. I am having my IRL friend send this message to my nopixel friends. Just want to let you know I really enjoyed the time we have spent together and all the memories we made. The past few months role-playing with you has been the absolute best time of my life and the only regret I have is not discovering nopixel and the RP community sooner. If there is an after life, I hope to meet you again! All the love… Misty ❤️

New Valorant Map Breeze is Now Available in Competitive

0

The highly anticipated Valorant patch 2.09 is finally here, and it brings a bunch of new content to the competitive shooter by Riot. Alongside some Viper adjustments, the introduction of tactical timeouts, and the new ‘Replication’ game mode, the change that has many fans excited is the implementation of the map Breeze to Unrated and Competitive queues.

The tropical-themed map Breeze was introduced to Valorant through patch 2.08 on April 28th. The map has received a good amount of positive feedback from the Valorant player base due to its long-range engagements, large open spaces to battle it out, and wide choke points that make it crucial for teams to be communicating properly in order to have the upper hand in a round.

Set in a remote island located somewhere within the southern part of the Bermuda Triangle, Breeze features a “bright, playful and colorful environment with wide-open spaces and opportunities for long-range encounters.”

Breeze has also received two minor changes in this update. They are, as mentioned on Riot’s website, as follows:

  • Blocked vision of the gaps above Mid-Wood Doors and A Metal Doors
  • Smoothed player collision in various locations

With this update, the Breeze-only queue will no longer be available to play in Valorant.

You can read the full patch notes of Valorant 2.09 here.

Valkyrae confirms music video rumours with Bella Poarch

0

Build A Bitch music video with Valkyrae is confirmed by popular TikToker Bella Poarch on Twitter with a release date set for 14th May.

Valkyrae has seemed to have developed a bit of a liking for music video appearances. Her last music video was in collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly and fellow streamer Corpse Husband for their song Daywalker, the song along with the music video was massively appreciated by the community.

Her next major music video appearance is right around the corner, in about 2 days time, the freshly minted 100 Thieves co-owner will be sharing the screen with the TikTok star. Her YouTube fandom has labelled her the queen of the platform and for good reason. After leaving Twitch, Rae’s transition to YouTube was far from smooth, given the trouble she had to hit the ground running.

Valkyrae promises the video to be of special significance to her Filipono fans “I’m doing it for the Filipinos. I think the Filipinos are going to be very excited about this … Filipino pride!” she said.

Rae and Poarch were friends in the public eye ever since they teamed up to participate in the 100T Cash App Pay Day Uno tournament. Poarch’s Filipino origin plays a big part in shaping the theme of the video, which explains why Rae has been hyping up her stans Philippines.

PS5 Digital Edition Finally Coming To India, Pre-order Date & Price Confirmed

0

The long-awaited PS5 Digital Edition is finally making its way to India and will be available for pre-order starting May 17th from 12 pm.

Last year before PS5’s launch in India, it was speculated that Sony might skip the launch of Digital Edition in India and will only launch the base Bluray drive version in India. But looks like the plans have changed a bit and Sony has decided to launch the cheaper version in India.

A listing of the PS5 Digital was spotted on Sony’s official site — ShopAtSC.com. The listing suggests that the Digital Edition will be priced at Rs 39,990 and available only for pre-order at the official Sony retail site. Costing Rs 10,000 less than the base version, the Digital Edition will be an irresistible offer for someone looking to get their hands on a next-gen console and don’t need a Bluray Drive and are alright with buying digital game licenses.

While it is still Rs 5000 more expensive than Microsoft’s Xbox Series S in India, the PS5 Digital is way more powerful than the Xbox Series S as it is basically a disc-less version of the base PS5 console with the same specs.

Sources close to IGN India, report the console will be timed exclusive to ShopAtSC.com with other retailers getting stock from June onwards. The Digital Edition would be exclusive to retailers, so expect the quantities to be limited and scarce.

It is also the first time Sony is re-stocking the base PS5 in India after the initial launch in February and following the rally of fans against Sony with #RestockPS5India trending on Twitter in India.

Esports betting site Luckbox post $4.57M Annual Loss After CEO’s Departure

0

Canadian esports betting site, Luckbox has reported a net loss of $4.57 million for 2020 just days after CEO Quentin Martin announced his departure from the company.

Red Luck Group, the parent company of Luckbox in their financial statement for the year 2020 revealed they had a net loss of $4.57 million, down from the previous year’s $17 million net loss. The drastic cut in losses was possible because of the company’s increased revenue and a result of share-based compensation being reduced.

In 2020 the revenue increased almost 18 times over to $61,300 but remained low and amounted to a gross loss of over $170K against the cost of sales amounting to $238K. Salaries and director fees were the largest expense at $867K, followed by legal and professional fees of $750K and share-based compensation of $734K, and $430K in general and administrative costs. This led to an operating loss of $4.57m.

CEO Quentin Martin said,

Our focus throughout fiscal 2020 was on developing our proprietary esports betting platform and, despite nominal marketing spend, we were able to organically and efficiently increase our audience as the global pandemic brought esports betting into focus during early 2020,

However, the calendar of esports events was adversely impacted, particularly in the second half, due to the postponement of the biggest esports event of the year – the Dota 2 International. This year’s esports calendar looks much better, and our strong balance sheet positions us for healthy growth in 2021 and 2022. As we continue to grow our team, enhance our product, and spread the word about Luckbox with a comprehensive marketing strategy in place, we look forward to offering our customers the opportunity to wager on several highly anticipated events.

As per Martin, the business’ low revenue was due to the fact that it was still primarily focused on developing its platform and due to the 2020 calendar for esports being adversely impacted by Coronavirus Pandemic.
