Disguised Toast banned from Twitch for streaming Death Note

0

Disguised Toast becomes the second big name to get banned from Twitch following a Death Note watch party that possibly landed him a DMCA notice on Monday evening.

Toast did not mention the reason behind the ban but given the circumstances, it is very likely to be a DMCA strike. Taking part in the TV show meta, a lot of streamers were braodcasting an anime of their choice at the risk of getting banned, given all animes are copyrighted by respective studios.

According to follow-up Tweet from Toast, the ban will last for a month, which is extremely harsh given Pokimane was only banned for 48 hours doing something exactly similar.

“TV meta” is what the community likes to call it has viewers flocking over to streams that are streaming popular TV shows or anime. Hasan had warned streamers against streaming shows like Master Chef as DMCA strikes are raning down on such content.

Disguised Toast did not share an elaborate statement explaining the situation but picking up on the clues, anything besides a DMCA strike seems unlikely but a month-long suspension looks too harsh to be true given others have gotten away with much less while doing something worse.

Flamie joins 1WIN, back to action with an active CSGO roster

1WIN, the Russian CSGO organization has signed Egor “flamie” Vasilyev to their active CSGO roster.

The 24-year-old rifler and ex-NAVI player was benched from NAVI’s active roster in April 2021. However, he started playing for NAVI Junior, the academy team of Natus Vincere. Flamie’s last game was the final match of WePlay Academy League Season 2 Finals. Unfortunately, NAVI Junior lost the final match to MOUZ NXT.

After that tournament, a few roster changes were made such as G2 Esports signed m0NESY from NAVI Junior. Eventually, there was no space left for Flamie to continue with NAVI Junior.

Now Flamie is back to play with 1WIN’s active CSGO roster. 1WIN is a well-known Russian team when it comes to B and C tier tournaments. The Russian organization recently benched Vadim “Polt” Tsirov and Danil “Ravenlot” Bikvaidze. One of the free spots is now filled up by Flamie. The remaining one is yet to be filled.

We are glad that Egor has joined our team! This is a world-class player who will bring colossal experience and top-level individual play to the team. Looking forward to tournaments coming up in the near future

Valorant Players Won’t Be Able to Insta-Lock Agents in Future Update

0

Valorant developers have confirmed that they’ll be introducing a ‘cascading Agent pick’ system in a future update to prevent players from insta-locking Agents and ruining the gameplay experience for other players present in the game.

For the unaware, insta-locking is when a player instantly picks a popular Agent like Jett or Reyna without consulting their teammates or caring about team composition. This problem has been existent in the title since its initial release and insta-lockers are often looked down upon by the Valorant community.

Luckily, a cascading agent pick system is on its way and it’ll likely solve the insta-locking issue once and for all.

VALORANT designer Jon Walker revealed the upcoming cascading agent picks in today’s livestream hangout. From a future Act, Valorant players will only be able to pick their Agents one at a time, with each player having a short time period to make their choice. If the player doesn’t pick an Agent, the next person in the team will be able to make their choice and the first player will have to pick an Agent later.

Alongside the cascading Agent picks, the Valorant devs have also shed some light on their future plans involving the game including the highly anticipated Yoru rework and an upcoming muted word list that’ll enable players to block certain words in the chat.

Move Over Esports, High Rollers Slots Are the Latest Craze

0

E-sports remain one of the most popular ways to gamble at online casinos and sports betting sites. Alongside virtual sports, live betting, and live casino games, e-sports betting games are right up there with the best of them.

However, there is a new kid on the block, and this casino game is starting to cause a fuss. If you’re looking for a new way to play, then high roller slots could be for you. While the concept is young and fresh, one developer has already stolen a march towards the finish line, developing an early lead of top high roller slot games. Let’s look closer at them.

Meet Aztec Magic: MegaWays

Gaming may not be the most prolific provider of slot games at online casinos, but they are certainly making a new for themselves with their high roller games. Aztec Magic: MegaWays is one of the few Bagaming releases to feature the MegaWays engine and its cascading features. Expect to see a fair RTP, prizes worth 11,000x a bet, and highly volatile gameplay in this Bgaming title.

Elvis Frog in Vegas

Elvis Frog in Vegas is one of a handful of slots from Bgaming that deals with a funky frog character dressed to kill as an Elvis impersonator. Other games include Aloha: Elvis Christmas and Aloha: King Elvis. Most of the games work in the same way, and like Aztec Magic, the game has the ability to provide players at a high roller Bgaming casino with ample chances to win prizes worth many thousands of times their bet.

Lucky Lady Moon

Lucky Lady Moon debuted in the winter of 2020 and offers Bgaming players a chance to experience a mystic-themed slot with a high roller wagering range woven into it. Expect free spins, re-triggerable features, and a top prize worth just shy of 2,000x a bet. When you’re playing with epic stakes, that could amount to quite a figure.

Avalon: The Lost Kingdom

Arguably one of the most popular Bgaming slots around, Avalon: The Lost Kingdom is an Arthurian legend-themed game that offers a big and bold story and even bolder bets. The twenty-line release can pay as much as 5,000x a bet, comes porting free spins and random multipliers and extra goodies such as Fateful Wilds and Excalibur bonuses. It also regularly features in high roller tournaments and competitions at online casinos.

Slots Not Your Forte?

Not everybody loves their slots. Fortunately, some new high roller casinos also have big money table games and other titles for you to bet on. Do you fancy something that requires no experience at all? Bgaming’s Jogo do Bicho, Scratch Dice, Rocket Dice, Plinko, Minesweeper and even Heads or Tails games could suffice. Video poker fans can get a slice of Jacks or Better.

If you’re a proper table games nut, then Sic Bo, Baccarat, Hi-Lo, Let ‘em Ride, Oasis Poker, Trey Poker, Texas Hold’em, Casino Hold’em, Pontoon, Blackjack, Blackjack Surrender, Double Exposure, or American, European, and French Roulette are sure to impress. These games and many more like them can also now be played in dedicated high roller modes at top online casinos today.

VALORANT: Team EXCEL revamp roster with four new players

0

Through an exclusive press release, TalkEsport is excited to share the future of EXCEL Esports who have overhauled their active division of Valorant with four new players ahead of the 2022 pro season. The roster revolves around a  bunch of professional players who were evaluating their options ahead in 2022.

Initially Team EXCEL entered Valorant with the signing of David “Davidp” Prins from G2 Esports back in March 2021 and went on to pick the quartet of Happy, Honeybee, Ale and B1GGY to round out their roster. Not so soon but the United Kingdom based organization parted ways with David and B1GGY which indeed dismantled the team, in a downward spiral followed by a series of changes transitioning within the team.

By the end of 2021, Team EXCEL were poised to revamp their roster amid the changes with just Muhammad “Moe40” Hariff who remained contracted to the organization while Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel Brødreskift was allowed to seek other opportunities. The new year indeed rekindled Team EXCEL’s flame back in the camp as they have announced their arrival yet again in Valorant, this time with four new players along with Moe40 featuring Oscar “ozzy” Scott, Egor “chiwawa” Stepanyuk, Dragan “elllement” Milanović, Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski. This quartet does sound familiar as each one of them spent the past year under the banner of a reputed team including OG, Ninjas in Pyjamas and G2 Esports.

paTiTek and ozzy are known for their stints with G2 Esports with the former having played for the German based organization for almost a year while ozzy was picked up as a stand-in during Stage 2 of the Valorant Champions Tour for G2. Elllement joins EXCEL from OG and NoPoaching where he enjoyed success on the amateur VALORANT circuit including wins at EPIC.LAN #33 and Rix.GG VALORANT Open May 2021.

EXCEL have decided to retain their coaching staff from the previous iteration of their roster containing Sam “Fields” Greenfield and Jimmy “Jumpy” Berndtsson with Kevin “Noizeeh” Jaskiewicz moving up from the streamer role to the Team’s manager.

Team EXCEL are now:

Muhammad “Moe40” Hariff

  • Oscar “ozzy” Scott
  • Egor “chiwawa” Stepanyuk|
  • Dragan “elllement” Milanović
  • Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski
  • Jimmy “Jumpy” Berndtsson  (Head Coach)
  • Sam “Fields” Greenfield (Assistant Coach)
  • Kevin “Noizeeh” Jaskiewicz  (Team Manager)

Masterchef Twitch Meta Drama including xQc and HasanAbi explained

0

Recently, a new meta of streaming older MasterChef seasons has taken over the streaming hub with a craze. From top streamers to not-so-popular streamers almost everybody is riding this new meta boat without a thought about DMCA strikes.

Celebrity Chef and multiple Michelin starred Chef, Gordon Ramsey recently joked about the recent Twitch meta of streaming older episodes of MasterChef USA in a tweet promoting his latest show — the Next Level Chef.

The long-term judge on the Master Chef US series jokingly tweeted saying that viewers can watch his Next Level Chef series on Twitch if they missed it on Fox and Hulu. While Gordon wasn’t taking a dig at any streamer, in particular, the new meta has come under fire.

A plethora of streamers including the likes of Felix “xQc” Lengyel, Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker, and Angela “AriaSaki” are illegally streaming older episodes of Masterchef USA. While it is certain that it is illegal to stream these episodes to the public on platforms other than licensed streams, many people have come forward in support of these streamers saying that it is “free publicity” and “opens door to new audience” for these shows.

While Twitch has yet to take action on these issues, various other streamers have asked whether it is legal or not to stream random tv shows and react to them on stream. Twitch streamer Ben “Cohh Carnage” Cassell in a tweet asked Twitch staff members if streamers could watch and react to random TV shows on the platform to which a staff member claimed that they are not allowed to do so and that the platform will eventually take action against these creators.

Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris has openly voiced his displeasure with the current Twitch meta of streaming such media, saying that he wished for them to get “DMCA’D.”. It will be interesting to see whether Twitch ends up taking any action against streamers as it seems the MasterChef US organizers have simply chosen to ignore it and Gordon Ramsay referenced the trend in his tweet only to promote his new show.
