Pakistan temporarily bans PUBG Mobile: PTA

Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has imposed a ban on mobile game PUBG across the country. According to the latest statement issued by the PTA, the spokesperson said that the service of PUBG Game has been temporarily suspended in Pakistan.


A PTA spokesman said a final decision on a complete ban on the game would be made after consultation, ARY reported. It may be recalled that two children had committed suicide in Lahore when they were not allowed to play the Pub G game, on which the parents of both the children had filed a petition in the Lahore High Court seeking a complete ban on the game. IG police had also sent a letter to PTA regarding the shutdown of the PUBG game.

Earlier, after the suicide of three Lahore youths, Punjab Police has demanded the FIA ​​and Pakistan Telecom Authority block the IPs of online video games in Pakistan so that children cannot play the game.

Lahore CPO Zulfiqar Hameed said that 3 youths have committed suicide due to the game so far, details of all the three cases have been provided to the concerned agencies.
