IEM Beijing 2026 Day 1 Results and Day 2 Schedule

IEM Beijing 2026 opened up with exciting matches as we were greeted with upsets, shockers, and unexpected results. With the big names securing important wins, Day 1 has set up an exciting Day 2 with underdogs thriving in the upper bracket and top sides waiting to make it out of the lower bracket.

MOUZ outclass TYLOO

TYLOO, playing on their home ground, faced a MOUZ side with hot hands. The opening map saw MOUZ’s CT side crush the hopes of TYLOO with a 9-3 scoreline. While the Chinese side did manage to give them a tough fight in the second, the massive lead from the first half helped push the map over the line. While TYLOO started the second map on a better note, MOUZ were just too clinical on the day as the series closed with a 2-0 scoreline.

FURIA reverse sweep FaZe

Starting the map with an unbelievable comeback, FaZe came back from a 10-2 deficit to win the map with a 13-11 scoreline on their CT side. Following the confidence-boosting start, FURIA put the hammer down with back-to-back 13-5 and 13-4 wins. Dominant across both maps, the Brazilian side did not let the opening game slip as they put FaZe down to the lower bracket.

BetBoom survives 9Z scare

A convincing win on their own map pick saw 9Z take the early lead in the series before BetBoom could get going. With a win under their belt, they put BetBoom into chase mode in the first half of the second map before the CIS squad found their footing. A perfect CT side from BetBoom saw them win 8 rounds in a row and push the series to a decider, where both teams contested the South American side closely, failing to keep up, leading to a successful reverse sweep.

PARIVISION put down G2

In the second reverse sweep of the day, G2 fell against a PARIVISION side that failed to secure important wins in big events throughout the entirety of the season. In an unlikely shocker, G2 will now continue from the lower bracket despite securing the opening map. PARIVISION came back swinging with consecutive maps to secure an important victory, as G2 must now continue their journey through the lower bracket.

Liquid dominates Aurora

In the most one-sided affair of the day, Aurora got outclassed by Liquid with back-to-back dominant maps. Scores of 13-3 and 13-4 saw Liquid make quick work of the European roster despite struggling. Looking sharp in Beijing, Liquid’s solid start will be tested throughout their upcoming matches as they prepare to make a run through the upper bracket.

MongolZ reverse sweep Legacy

A tough win to open the series saw Legacy get the early lead in overtime, only to give it away with back-to-back losses. While Legacy did challenge MongolZ, the Asian side stood tall as they secured convincing wins in back-to-back maps to push the series over the line and secure an important win to kick off their campaign.

HEROIC makes quick work of B8

In a quick 2-0 victory, HEROIC dominated to open the series as B8 were left playing chase for the better part of the map, leading to a quick close of the map. While B8 struggled to open up the second map, the deadlock was broken as HEROIC cruised through the second half to win back-to-back maps.

Falcons fumble against NAVI

NAVI started strong on their comfort pick of Ancient as Falcons barely managed to keep up. With little effort, they managed to take a massive lead in the first half, followed by a flawless second half to close out the opening map with a 13-5 scoreline. Falcons were challenged in the second map, but fumbling rounds that were almost in the bag cost them the chance to push the game to a third map as NAVI walked away with a 2-0.

IEM Beijing is one of the last big events ahead of the Singapore Major, which makes this more of a practice ground for teams. The likes of Vitality and Spirit choosing to skip this event open up the possibility of a new team lifting the trophy, and while opening day results can be deceiving, NAVI, MOUZ, and FURIA will be strong favorites.
