The rare item lets players claim Item Shop cosmetics for free during two 14-day periods, one in 2026 and one in 2027. Fortnite Pirate Shop Token Explained
The Fortnite Pirate Shop Token is an extremely rare reward in the Fortnite Treasure Hunters mini season. The mini season launched on November 1, 2026, with update v43.00. It bridges Chapter 7 Season 4 and Chapter 8.
Each token gives two uses. One works in 2026 and the other in 2027. Each use lasts 14 days from the moment a player activates it, which adds up to 28 days of free Item Shop claims.
During an active period, players can claim items sold for V-Bucks in the Item Shop at no cost. Depending on what appears in the shop, the claimed cosmetics could be worth thousands of dollars. Epic Games has not revealed the odds of finding the token.
How to Get the Pirate Shop Access Token
Players can get the token by opening Chests in Battle Royale during Treasure Hunters. A Chest can trigger a free reward for the squad. Most rewards are Gizmos. Cosmetics and Pirate Shop access are also possible, but the chance is very slim.
The reward is shared. If one player finds the token, every member of the party receives it. Only one person in a squad needs to open the winning Chest.

- Play Battle Royale during Fortnite Treasure Hunters.
- Open Chests and check the reward.
- Return to the lobby to see the Pirate Shop Access reward screen.
How to Activate the Pirate Shop Token
Players activate the token through the Item Shop. The steps are simple:
- Open the Item Shop from the Fortnite lobby.
- Select “Plunder the Item Shop” to view your Pirate Shop access.
- Choose “Activate Now” when you want the 14-day period to begin.
- Visit the shop during that period and claim eligible cosmetics.
The 14 days start only when a player activates the token. Players can wait until the items they want appear in the shop before starting the 2026 period.
Reports differ on the exact 2026 deadline. One report says players must use the first period by the end of 2026. Another says December 15, 2026. Players should check the in-game screen for the final date.
What Pirate Shop Access Includes and Excludes
Pirate Shop access covers cosmetics sold for V-Bucks in the Item Shop. It does not give players everything that releases in a given year. Players still need to visit the shop and claim items while they are available during the active period. The token also does not give V-Bucks.
The reward has these restrictions:
- No gifting: Players cannot use it to send free items to others.
- Sidekick limit: Players can claim only one copy of each eligible Sidekick.
- No real-money Packs: Packs sold for cash are excluded.
The One Piece collaboration is part of the Treasure Hunters mini season. Players who activate the token while its cosmetics are in the shop can claim those skins without spending V-Bucks. They should confirm the skins they want are listed before starting the 14 days.
