The Fortnite Item Shop changes once a day at 00:00 UTC. In the US, that’s 8 PM ET or 5 PM PT. In India, it’s 5:30 AM IST. Every region gets the new shop at the same moment, so the local time depends on where you live.
Fortnite Item Shop reset time by region
These times apply in October 2026. Some regions change their clocks for daylight saving soon, so the local reset time moves too. The last column shows the time after that change.
| Region | Time zone | Shop changes at | After clocks change |
|---|---|---|---|
| US East | ET | 8:00 PM (previous day) | 7:00 PM from Nov 1 |
| US Central | CT | 7:00 PM (previous day) | 6:00 PM from Nov 1 |
| US Mountain | MT | 6:00 PM (previous day) | 5:00 PM from Nov 1 |
| US West | PT | 5:00 PM (previous day) | 4:00 PM from Nov 1 |
| Brazil | BRT | 9:00 PM (previous day) | No change |
| UK | BST / GMT | 1:00 AM | 12:00 AM from Oct 25 |
| Central Europe | CEST / CET | 2:00 AM | 1:00 AM from Oct 25 |
| UAE | GST | 4:00 AM | No change |
| India | IST | 5:30 AM | No change |
| Philippines | PHT | 8:00 AM | No change |
| Japan | JST | 9:00 AM | No change |
| Australia (Sydney) | AEDT | 11:00 AM | No change until April |
The UTC time doesn’t change. When the reset seems to move, it’s because your local clock went forward or back for daylight saving.
How the daily Item Shop rotation works
Every day at 00:00 UTC, Epic Games refreshes the Item Shop. Some items leave, new ones arrive, and some stay for more than one day.
Not every section changes every day. Collaboration bundles and event sections often stay for several days. Each section shows its own countdown timer in game, and that timer tells you exactly when the items in it will leave.
Recent collab sections that ran this way include the Five Nights at Freddy’s bundle and the Madison Beer skin. Both stayed in the shop across several daily resets.
How to check the Item Shop timer
- Open Fortnite and go to the Shop tab.
- Scroll to any section.
- Look at the timer in the corner of the section. It counts down to when that section leaves.
You can also see what’s currently in the shop without launching the game on the official Fortnite Item Shop page from Epic Games.
Why the Item Shop sometimes changes late
The shop usually updates on time. These are the most common reasons it’s late:
| Reason | What happens |
|---|---|
| Server maintenance | The shop updates once servers are back online |
| New season launch | The shop refresh can wait until downtime ends |
| Major game update | The shop may update a few minutes to a few hours late |
| Local game cache | Restarting the game usually loads the new shop |
Epic posts downtime and server problems on the Fortnite Status account on X. The next big shop change will come with the new season. Our Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 release date guide has the timing.
Can you see the Item Shop early?
Epic doesn’t show the next day’s shop before it goes live. Some community sites list leaked items from game files, but leaked items can change or be removed before release. The Fortnite Wiki’s Item Shop history records what appeared in past shops, which can help you guess when a skin might come back.
