What Are Treasure Hours in Fortnite?
Treasure Hours are a themed version of Power Hours. Every player gets specific items or powers for a short window. Epic runs them to create unusual match scenarios.
The event takes place in Treasure Hunters, the Fortnite mini-season that started on November 1 with update 43.00. The mini-season runs until the Chapter 7 end event on Saturday, December 5.
Fortune Treasure Hours Bonuses
Two bonuses apply to every match during the event:
- Shock Rocket: Every player starts with A$AP Rocky’s Shock Rocket.
- Self-Revive: Every player also starts with a Self-Revive Device.
- Fortune Sprites: These spawn more often during both sessions.
The free Shock Rocket gives players an explosive weapon from the first second of a match. The Self-Revive gives each player a second life. Fortune Sprites are the only Sprite variant in Treasure Hunters besides the base variant.
Do Treasure Hours Raise Pirate Shop Token Odds?
Epic has not said that Treasure Hours raise the drop chance of the Pirate Shop Token. The confirmed bonus applies to Fortune Sprite spawns only. Some players in the Epic community thread have asked whether the token will get easier to find. No official answer exists yet.
Treasure Hours Move to Saturdays
Treasure Hours were previously tied to Sundays. Epic moved them to Saturdays so they close out each week. A new Captain then arrives on Sunday.
The next Captain’s Day takes place on Sunday, November 8, at 9 AM ET. A new Captain takes over the Stronghold and brings a new SMG. Players can expect another Treasure Hours event next Saturday under this new schedule.
Players who want the Fortune Sprite boost should start their matches while a session is active. Matches that begin outside the two windows will not include the starter gear.
