There are eight Sprite Extraction Sites in Fortnite’s Treasure Hunters mini-season, spread around Lantern Landing, Plunder Port and the other main points of interest. Unlike Portable Extractors, these sites are fixed and can be used over and over, which makes them the most reliable way to bank your Sprites before you get eliminated.
Here is where to find every site, how to use them and what else they offer.

All eight Sprite Extraction Site locations
The sites sit between major POIs rather than inside them, which keeps them a little quieter than the hot drops. Two areas have two sites each, so it is worth learning those first.
| Area | Sites |
|---|---|
| Between The Chest and Loot Lagoon | 1 |
| Between Lantern Landing and Windmill Village | 2 |
| Plunder Port | 1 |
| Between Lantern Landing and Cursed Cavern | 2 |
| Between Fortune’s Plunder and The Rocky | 2 |

Sprite Extraction Sites first appeared in Chapter 7 Season 3 and carried over into Treasure Hunters, so if you played last season, the setup will feel familiar.
How to extract Sprites in five steps
- Go to a Sprite Extraction Site and interact with the pirate-themed pipe organ. This opens a rift.
- Wait for the Sprite Extraction Crate to drop out of the rift. It takes a while, so use the time to watch for other players.
- Step back as it lands. The crate has a knockback effect that can throw you off your feet.
- Interact with the crate and place your Sprites inside.
- Wait for the short cooldown. The crate then returns to its own reality and takes your Sprites with it.
Once a Sprite goes into the crate, you cannot take it back out, so only deposit the ones you want to keep. The good news is that extracted Sprites are safe for good. Even if you are eliminated straight afterwards, they stay extracted, and you can view them later in the Sprite Garden.
Extraction Sites double as a Sprite Dust shop
Each site also has Sprite Dust Services, which let you spend Sprite Dust on three things:
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Portable Extractor | Lets you extract Sprites anywhere, without finding a site |
| Weapon upgrade | Raises the rarity of the weapon you are holding |
| Daily XP token | Gives 20,000 XP, once a day |
The daily XP token is the easiest one to forget and the best value for Battle Pass progress. Make a habit of grabbing it on your first visit each day.
Tips for getting Sprites out safely
Extraction is slow, and a player waiting by a pipe organ is an easy target. Clear the area before you start, and keep building materials ready while the crate drops. If you are low on ammo, open Treasure Hunt Chests on the way, since they can also give Gizmos and other Treasure Hunt rewards.
Use the fixed sites as often as you can. Portable Extractors and Extraction Gizmos are much harder to come by, so saving them for emergencies is the smart play.
While you are opening chests, you also have a small chance at the Pirate Shop Token. Our guide to the Fortnite Pirate Shop Token explains the odds and how to activate it. Be careful of anyone offering to “sell” Pirate Shop access, as scams are going around. Treasure Hunters runs until December 5, so there is plenty of time to fill your Sprite Garden.
