Pokémon UNITE World Champion Lists Worlds Trophy for $400K

Junglebook, who won the first Pokémon UNITE World Championship with North American team BLVKHVND, has put his 2022 trophy up for sale with an asking price of $400,000. He posted the listing on X on 30 October, days after it emerged that UNITE will shut down in March 2027.

“For sale is the official World Champion Trophy from the 2022 Pokémon World Championships in London,” the post reads. “I earned this trophy myself by taking 1st Place in Pokémon Unite the very first year the game was included in the World Championships.”

The trophy shows a Pikachu holding a smaller trophy while standing on top of a Poké Ball. Junglebook describes it as being in pristine condition and says it has only been held by him, during the 2022 awards ceremony. He also says the price is not fixed and that he is open to trades, including high-end graded Pokémon cards, as Dexerto reported.

The timing is tied to the game itself. His post links the sale to UNITE’s end of service, which is set for 23 March 2027. We covered the shutdown and what it means for players in our report on the Pokémon UNITE shutdown date. Once the servers go dark, the list of UNITE world champions is closed for good, and the first trophy on that list becomes harder to replace. That scarcity is the case for a high price.

Before the listing went up, a thread on the r/PokeInvesting subreddit asked for advice on how to value and sell a World Championship trophy, using the same photos. It is not clear whether Junglebook posted it. According to Pokémon collector account PokeTCGAlerts, replies there suggested somewhere between $10,000 and $50,000. The same account called the $400,000 figure “the most ambitious Pokémon listing I’ve seen in a while”.

The 2022 title behind the trophy

UNITE’s path to Worlds was quick. The game’s first gameplay footage leaked in January 2021, while it was still in closed beta in China and facing a cool reception from fans. It launched on Switch in July 2021 and on mobile that September, and by February 2022 The Pokémon Company and developer TiMi had announced a $1 million UNITE Championship Series that would end at the World Championships.

That first world final took place at the ExCeL London from 18 to 21 August 2022, the first in-person Worlds after years of cancellations, as our Worlds 2022 preview set out. The UNITE event had a $500,000 prize pool. BLVKHVND beat Nouns Esports in the grand final and took home $100,000, with Nouns collecting $75,000 for second place.

The same core went on to win again a year later as Luminosity Gaming in Yokohama, making them the only two-time UNITE world champions. FENNEL took the title in 2024, and ZETA DIVISION won this year’s event in San Francisco, beating France’s KOMAÏ.

How $400,000 compares with past trophy sales

There is one recent public sale to compare it with. In May 2025, a trophy from the 2024 Pokémon World Championships in Honolulu sold through auction house Goldin for $12,810 including fees, after 22 bids. Junglebook’s asking price is more than 30 times that figure, and four times what BLVKHVND won as a team for lifting it.

That gap is the main question hanging over the listing. Pokémon collectibles do sell for very large sums, but most of that market is in rare graded cards, not tournament trophies, and an asking price on X is not the same as a sale. If the trophy does change hands, the final figure will be the first real test of what a World Championship trophy from a game that is being switched off is worth.

UNITE has been part of the World Championships since 2022, and with service ending next March, no new UNITE world titles will be added once the game closes. The 2022 results, including BLVKHVND’s UNITE title, are on the official Worlds 2022 results page.
