NBA to host players only NBA 2K tournament – Report

After coronavirus took the shape of a pandemic, sports events and leagues across the world are stopped to keep this peril contained. With fans missing out on basketball action, National Basketball Association are presumed to host an in-house NBA 2K tournament.

According to a report by Yahoo Sports, the upcoming Friday, 3rd April is set to be the inaugural day for the tournament. The tournament will be a players-only with no option for outsiders to get a piece of the action. It will be broadcasted over at the ESPN channel.

The 16 players tournament will be played out across a tenure of 10 days where participants will face players with whom they are likely to be acquainted. Utah Jazz, Donovan Mitchell, and DeMarcus Cousins are some of the big names to be among the players who are likely to feature in the event.

NBA has aimed this project to provide the fans with some recreation which they are missing out on after the league was halted. The report further states that the NBA are finalizing the details of the tournament, as they want it to be a success before it commences in 2 days.
