Indian BGMI team, 7Sea Esports, is ineligible to participate in the “fan favourite” award that will take place in the second phase of PMWI called Afterparty event. Teams from South Korea and China were also not eligible to participate in this event along with some other major awards with huge prize money.

PUBG Mobile has several variants across the world and some of the major consumers such as India, China and Korea play on their own localized version. Even though the game is currently banned in India, other regions are also ineligible to take part at this award.

The fan favourite award was going to be different this time as PUBG Mobile Esports was planning to engage their audience more on social media front. A post was apparently going to decide who will win $10,000. Players from all the participating teams were to comment on the post and the comment with highest likes would win the award.

Apparently, Indian and Korean teams are not participating at the event. The fans will not see comments from DAMWON Gaming and 7Sea Esports under this post. Chinese teams were also not allowed to comment but as they have not qualified for the event itself, they are automatically out of the competition.

There are some other awards as well where Indian teams could not participate. The name of these awards are “Best Watchparty” award with a $50,000 prize and “Best Team Presentation” award with $20,000 prize.

The entire prize pool of PMWI Afterparty is $1 million and considering the staggering amount they have spent on such awards, it is evident that teams from these regions will face a minute loss in the upcoming weekend.
