Defending Champions 4Thrives Eliminated From PMGO 2026 Season 2 on Home Turf

Pakistan’s 4Thrives, the defending champions of PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026, have been eliminated from Season 2 after finishing last in Group B with just 11 points.

The result comes as a major disappointment for the Pakistani squad, especially as the country is hosting its first S-tier international PUBG Mobile tournament. Despite playing on home turf, 4Thrives could not qualify for either the Grand Finals or the Survival Stage.

The team, featuring IQ, Falak, T24OP, Huzaifa, and Nocki, entered the competition as one of the biggest names to watch following its PMGO 2026 Season 1 victory.

A Shocking Exit for One of the World’s Top PUBG Mobile Teams

4Thrives entered PMGO 2026 Season 2 with high expectations after winning Season 1 and establishing themselves among the notable teams in international PUBG Mobile esports.

Winning an international title had already shown their ability to compete against strong teams from other regions.

However, the defending champions could not repeat that performance in front of their home crowd.

With just eight eliminations across six matches, the squad struggled to collect enough points to remain in the competition.

Their title defence has now ended before the Survival Stage, making it one of the biggest disappointments of the tournament.

Their recent results explain why 4Thrives are regarded as one of the strongest teams in the world. They won PMGO 2026 Season 1 in Jakarta, finished sixth at the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026, and won the South Asia Finals of both PMGO seasons in 2026. The team also represented Pakistan in winning a PUBG Mobile bronze medal at the 2026 Asian Games.

PMGO 2026 Season 2 Grand Finals Qualified Teams

The top six teams from each group qualify directly for the Grand Finals.

The six confirmed teams from Group B are Wolves, Vampire Esports, ULF Esports, The MongolZ, Regnum Carya, and BUF Esports.

The Grand Finals will feature 16 teams, including 12 direct qualifiers and four teams from the Survival Stage.

PMGO 2026 Season 2 Survival Stage Teams

The teams finishing seventh to 14th in each group advance to the Survival Stage on October 22.

The eight qualified teams from Group B are Alpha7, 777 Esports, The Vicious, R8 Esports, iKURD ESPORTS, Cryptics, 18 Esports, and Alter Ego Ares.

They will join eight teams from Group A. The 16 teams will play six matches, with only the top four advancing to the Grand Finals.

The Grand Finals will take place on October 24 and 25, featuring 13 matches. The Smash Rule will be used on the final day to decide the champion.

For 4Thrives, however, the journey has already ended. Just four months after becoming global champions, the Pakistani squad has suffered an early exit in front of its home crowd.
