PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 2 is set to kick off on 20 October in Lahore, Pakistan, and a Japanese PUBG Mobile player who won the inaugural season in 2024 asked for slots for India, Japan, and South Korea. Notably, neither of the 2026 editions (PMGO 2026 Season 1 and Season 2) offered slots for these three regions.
The organisers, Krafton and Level Infinite, have made the 2026 PMGO editions exclusive for global region teams. Notably, India, Japan, and South Korea play different versions of PUBG Mobile. However, these regions regularly secure PUBG Mobile World Cup and PMGC slots.
Sara asked for PMGO slots for India, Japan, and South Korea teams
On Friday, 9 October 2026, Kento “Sara” Suzuki, a veteran of PUBG Mobile esports from Japan, posted an Instagram story asking for PUBG Mobile Global Open slots for India, Japan, and South Korea.
Sharing the PMGO 2026 Season 2 post on his Instagram story, he wrote, “We can’t even play tho. KRJP INDIA SLOT PLEASE”
Notably, SaRa has already played the PMGO in 2024 and also won with his team REJECT in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Till, last year, PUBG Mobile has provided slots outside the global regions for teams. South Korean team NS RedForce and the Japanese team REJECT played in PMGO 2025.
PUBG Mobile announced two seasons of PMGO in 2026, but not even one season has given opportunities to the South Korean, Japanese, and Indian teams.

About PMGO 2026 Season 2
The PMGO 2026 Season 2 will take place from 20 to 25 October in Lahore, Pakistan, featuring 32 teams including names like Bigetron, Vampire Esports, S2G Esports, 4Thrives, INFLUENCE RAGE, Wolves, Alter Ego Ares, ULF Esports, Alpha7, and more.
India, Korea and Japan set for BMIC 2026 in Mumbai
However, the three regions, India, South Korea, and Japan, are all set for the BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2026, which will be played in Mumbai, India, from October 30 to November 1. The top 6 teams from BMSD 2026 (India) and 5-5 teams from South Korea and Japan will fight for the title and two PMGC 2026 slots.
