Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa has reportedly taken Twitch’s new ‘Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches’ category by storm as the partnered twitch streamer clocked over 500,000 hours from her streams. This entirely new category indeed was blessed with 1.4M Hours of watch time from across the globe.

Earlier this week, Twitch decided to launch a whole new category exclusively for the streamers who stream “Just Chatting” but either on a beach or in a hot tub. This meta might end up being a limp for most of the partnered streamers as advertisers can now choose to pull out from such kind of content, eventually making the former lose a formidable amount of revenue from their streams.

Despite the deemed monetary setback, the “Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches category” has been ranked 26th by Twitch and has come out on top with a whopping 1.4 Million Hours of watch-time over the past week. Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore: Teams, Prize Pool and all you need to know

We are getting close to the first international event announced by Garena in February 2021. Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore is the first season of the 2021 global event. Top teams from all around the globe will be competing to win share from the $2M prize pool and champions title. It will be an offline event at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Initially, a total of 22 teams from 14 regions were invited to the event. But, due to travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, four qualifying teams from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh could not travel to Singapore.

FFWS 2021 FORMAT

The 18 invited teams will be seeded into Play-Ins and Finals where the top 3 teams from Play-Ins will qualify for Finals.

Play-Ins of Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore will take place on 28th May 2021. A total of 9 teams will battle in the Play-Ins stage whereas the top 3 teams will be joining the rest of the teams in the finals. Here is the list of teams who will be participating in the Play-Ins stage.

As Free Fire World Series 2021 was an offline event. All teams had to travel from their respective regions and report at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. But due to the national travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, two qualifying teams from India and one team each from Pakistan and Bangladesh could not travel to Singapore. As a result, teams were ruled out from the event. To compensate the teams for not playing in the event, all four teams were given a portion of the prize pool.

  • Galaxy Racers (India) – $60,000

  • Team TG (Pakistan) – $40,000
  • Riot (Bangladesh) – $40,000

VCT Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik Day 2 Recap

The second day of Valorant Championship Tour 2021: Stage 2 Masters – Reykjavik hosted 3 best-of-three matches. The winners have advanced to the upper bracket semi finals and the losers have been relegated to the lower brackets. With $600,000 on the line, teams are putting up a formidable show for the viewers. 

Team Vikings 2-0 X10 Esports

The day began with the first match-up between Team Vikings and X10 Esports. Although the encounter concluded within the initial two maps, the battle between the two wasn’t easy-peasy for either side. 

Either map was played till the last round. The Vikings won Icebox 13-11 while the second map went into overtime. However, they won Ascent as well 14-12. Sacy and sutecas were the frontrunners for Team Vikings throughout the match-up.

Team Vikings won the match-up 2-0 and advanced to the upper bracket semi-finals. They will compete against Fnatic on day three. On the other hand, X10 Esports has been relegated to the lower brackets to face-off against Crazy Raccoon from Japan on day three as well.

Team Liquid 1-2 Version1

In the second match of the day, Team Liquid faced off against Version1. Split being the latter’s pick, the Europeans secured a 10-5 lead but Version1 bagged seven rounds on the trot to secure map-point. The game was dragged till the third overtime when Team Liquid won two consecutive rounds to secure the map 16-14.

After losing its map pick, Version1 secured the second map 13-11. The encounter tied 1-1 as Version1 triumphed on Ascent. Then came the decider – Haven. Zellsis wreaked havoc on their opponents with Killjoy. He also had a couple of 1vs2 clutches as well. His side won the third map 13-4.

In the upper bracket semifinals, Version1 will be facing NUTURN Gaming from South Korea in the upcoming days. Team Liquid is relegated to the lower brackets.

Sentinels 2-0 Fnatic

The final match of the day was indeed a blockbuster. Fnatic picked Icebox and Sentinels went ahead with Haven. North Americans won the encounter 2-0 with TenZ almost scoring 50 frags across two maps. He played Jett and Reyna respectively.

The first half of Icebox tied 6-6 but Sentinels went off to a fantastic start in the second half to take an 11-5 lead. Fnatic also secured five rounds to tie the scoreboard at 11-11 but the Sentinels won two successive rounds and won the first map 13-11.

The second map was a nail-biting back and forth encounter. Sentinels won Haven 13-10 after taking the 8-4 lead in the first half. The Sentinels will play against the Vikings on the third day.

CSGO has seen its fair share of game-breaking bugs and nasty exploits. While some exploits are certainly worse than the others, a new exploit originally found by ‘sh1ck’ on YouTube can potentially be used to gain an unfair competitive advantage in the battlefield.

This exploit can only be used as a T since it uses the small blinking light of the c4 to get a glimpse of enemies through walls.

If a player lines up his crosshair with the light of the c4 and keeps checking common angles where the CTs might be holding, they’ll be able to see the player model of the CTs quite clearly through the light.

In this short clip, we can clearly see the bug in action, as the T player is able to see the CT holding long using the c4 on his teammate’s back.

Needless to say, this game-breaking exploit is a threat to matchmaking games since it can be easily abused by players to get some easy frags on unsuspecting enemies.

CSGO players worldwide will certainly be looking forward to Valve fixing this major issue at the earliest.

Amouranth Tops New Hot Tubs Category in Twitch

Recently, Twitch created a separate category for streamers involved in the Hot Tub meta. The new category, named ‘Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches’, provided advertisers with the option to opt out of the category if they weren’t interested in that kind of content.

At the time of the introduction of the new category, many had claimed that the Hot Tub meta would fall off as a result. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

As evident from the numbers, the Hot Tubs category seems to be thriving, thanks to Amouranth. According to a recent data report by Rainmaker.gg, the 27-year-old has managed to accumulate over 500,000 hours watched on Twitch. The data also reveals that the newly introduced category has a total of 1.5 million hours watched by viewers.

It goes without saying that the Hot Tub meta is far from ending anytime soon. Streamers like Amouranth, Indiefoxx and ExoHydraX are continuing to rock the category among a bunch of other streamers.

However, Amouranth’s numbers were clearly superior to the rest of the Hot Tub streamers, with about five times more hours watched than anyone else streaming in the category.
