Ceb to stand in for OG at PGL Arlington Major

Mikhail “Misha” Agatov and Evgenii “Chuvash” Makarov were both denied travel visas to enter the United States in order to compete at the upcoming PGL Arlington Major 2022. As a result, OG will be forced to compete in a Dota 2 major without the services of its captain and coach for the second consecutive year.

Ceb is returning to the team’s roster to fulfill the void left by this issue, with the expectation that he will be able to guide the squad to yet another triumph. This problem has arisen for the second major tournament in a row.

OG’s head of esports, Mike Schwartz, stated that the organization had completed and been granted several visas in advance for the event; however, arrangements for both Misha and Chu were unable to be finalized in time.

“Although we finished and received both B and P visa approvals for the entire team in a timely manner, we were unable to secure the required appointments to finalize the process with Misha and Chu,” Schwartz said.

However, we are extremely thankful that Ceb will be able to return to the roster and hopefully lead the team to another major triumph.

The last time Ceb came out of retirement was to stand in for Misha at the Stockholm Major in May. Thanks to his excellent performance and leadership, OG was able to win its fifth major despite the fact that some of its players were competing in their first major LAN event.

OG has already qualified for The International 2022 through direct qualification and will be flying to Singapore in October as one of the early favorites coming out of Europe. This will be the case regardless of the results of the Arlington major. But at least from this point on, we will receive additional old man Ceb memes pertaining to the major.

Subsequently, this is not the only instance of visa issues causing problems for teams at this event; Xtreme Gaming has completely withdrawn from the major, and other players have run into similar travel issues.

Fnatic will be playing with three stand-ins, and other players have run into similar travel issues. There is still a possibility that additional roster adjustments will be made in the final moments before the major begins on August 4.

What is ‘Poppin’ swing in VALORANT ?

It doesn’t matter if you’re playing in a competitive or unrated battle, or even if you’re just warming up in deathmatch; the “Poppin” swing is an excellent technique to demoralize and demotivate your opponents. But where did this trend originate? Why is it so significant, and why should you think about incorporating it into your own life?

Poppin swing in VALORANT

The ‘Poppin’ swing is a way to take on fights and angles while playing VALORANT. It essentially functions as an excessively broad peak and is used to take on fights and angles.

In the ‘Poppin’ swing, rather than jiggling while peeking around a corner or moving as little as possible while still maintaining a shooting angle, you peep and just keep moving. This is in contrast to the other two methods.

The YouTuber P0PPIN is credited with popularizing the move and giving it the term “Poppin’ swing.” P0PPIN did this by posting a series of videos on his channel in which he used the move against some of the most well-known streamers and professional players in VALORANT.

Now, Even the pros recognize and use the swing themselves during matches that are webcast, and it may make some amazing videos for social networks such as TikTok.

However, how can anything like this function? It’s not because the other players lack the ability to aim; he’s utilizing it against professional players and in Radiant queues. However, at that level of rank, there are very few players that are anticipating such a bold swing.

In addition, just before he executes the ‘Poppin’ swing, he performs a very brief jiggle spray, which tricks the opponent into maintaining a close angle since they think he is going to jiggle again.

In addition to the mental component of the ‘Poppin’ swing, which consists of effectively zigging while others zag, this swing can also be useful for strengthening one’s ability to monitor one’s intended target more precisely.

You can test how long you can keep your crosshair aimed at your opponent’s head while warming up for a deathmatch by seeing how many swings you can make while doing so.

Indonesia Bans Steam, Paypal, Epic Games, Battlenet Without Notice

0

The Ministry of Information, Indonesia has issued a ban on some leading foreign digital services like Steam, Epic Games, Battlenet, and PayPal over reasons unconfirmed but believed to be non-compliance with new IT rules that asked services to officially register as an Electronic Systems Provider (PSE) with the ministry.

Steam Banned in Indonesia

The news first came to light when Team Secret (esports org) made a post on Facebook and Twitter with a picture showing the ban notice when visiting the said sites.

Soon the news about the bans spread like fire and Indonesian people expressed their disbelief and confusion over the sudden ban. The sudden ban has left many people and businesses associated with the services scratching their heads.

While the main reason for the ban is still unknown as the story is still unfolding, the primary cause of the ban is believed to be the new IT rules that the Ministry of Information implemented back in 2020.

The new regulation required local and international internet services to officially register as an Electronic Systems Provider (PSE), for the purposes of cyber security and user protection, on November 24th, 2020. Failure to comply would result in an operational ban in the country.

However, this information is not officially confirmed yet and the whole situation is still a developing story, so stay tuned.

India Bans BGMI

Battlegrounds Mobile India, the largest competitive mobile game in India, has been officially delisted from widely used Google Play Store and Apple App Store. As per new reports, the Indian government has banned BGMI by invoking Section 69A of the IT Act.

According to Reuters, Indian Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) issued orders under Section 69 (A) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 to take down BGMI.

TalkEsport, just last evening had reported that the influence of China over PUBG Mobile & BGMI combined could be the reason of the recent ban which saw millions of gamers dissappointed.

Chamber Nerfed in Valorant 5.03 Beta: Details Inside

0

Added to the game back in November 2021 with patch 3.10, Vincent Fabron, aka Chamber, took the Valorant world by storm with his ability kit, replacing Jett overnight as the primary operator agent in the game.

The teleporting ability of Rendevous, the pocket-guardian Headhunter, the Trademark and the best gun in the game Tour De Force made Chamber a force to be reckoned with. He was economically efficient and had bought almost every round, even in losing situations.

With the two trademarks, it was very hard for agents to flank if there was a Chamber in the opposition, making Chamber a must-pick in most games. Chamber almost made all the other sentinels inefficient.

With Valorant Patch 4.09, changes were made to Chamber’s Trademark, reducing their number from 2 to 1 and increasing the price and the audio range. But these nerf felt like they did not do much damage to the agent, and he still felt overly efficient and overshadowed his sentinel counterparts.

The single proof of how good Chamber is can be found in the fact that the pick-rate of Chamber in VCT Masters Copenhagen was 77% which is 23% higher than the next agent, which is a Duelist Raze, While the next Sentinel on the list, is Sage at 23% and then Killjoy at 11% and Cypher at 1%.

Not just professionally but Casually, there aren’t many matches where we don’t encounter a Chamber, this wasn’t good for the game, and a nerf was almost inevitable for the agent. The nerf was confirmed by a dev back on 20th July on Reddit

Now, with the latest PBE Patch Notes for Valorant Patch 5.03, It is confirmed that Chamber would be nerfed along with Regional damage Changes and UI Changes.

The summarised Chamber nerfs are as follows:

  • The overall slow duration from the Tour De Force or the Trademark reduced from 9.5s to 6s.
  • The radius of Rendevous decreased from 21 m to 15 m
  • The cooldown for Rendevouz increased from 20s to 30s
  • A penalty of 45s cooldown if the Rendevous anchor is destroyed.

These nerfs aren’t public yet and would be tested before they are made public and in place to balance out Chamber rather than nerf him.

The summarised Ability Regional Damage breakup.

Neon’s Overdrive:
  • Damage per shot reduced from 22 to 18
  • Leg Shot multiplier reduced from 1 to 0.85
  • The headshot multiplier increased from 1 to 3
Chamber’s Tour de Force:
  • Tour de force Leg shot multiplier reduced from 1.0 to 0.85
Jett’s Bladestorm:
  • Leg shot multiplier reduced from 1.0 to 0.85

In the case of Neon, Aiming at the head would kill the enemy faster rather than the body. And for all other agent abilities hitting legs would give 15% less damage than the body.

A Fortnite-type emote wheel is under development for Valorant, and we will hear about it soon.

Along with these changes, multiple UI Changes and Bug fixes are coming to Valorant, and you can read the complete patch notes and read the thread here

Acend add L1NK ahead of VCT EMEA LCQ

0

In preparation for the forthcoming EMEA last-chance qualification competition, Acend has revealed that they have acquired the services of Travis “L1NK” Mendoza, a player who formerly competed for Team Liquid. His predecessor, Aleksander “zeek” Zygmunt, who was demoted one month earlier, will be replaced by him.

Team Liquid benched L1NK as the club restructured their Valorant roster. After reaching great heights in 2021, neither Acend nor Team Liquid had a very successful season on the Valorant Champions Tour in 2022.

L1NK will be joining a team that competed in the EMEA VCT Stage 2 Challengers group stage and fared rather well in the competition before being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.

In an effort to better their squad, Liquid switched out L1NK for stand-in player Aurimas “Dreamas” Zablockis midway through the group stage. Despite this change, the team was eliminated from the competition before the playoffs began. They have not yet revealed who will take the role of the British footballer in a permanent capacity.

Acend has gone through a number of transitions since the conclusion of its successful run in the Valorant Champions tournament in 2021. Mehmet Yaz ‘cNed’ Pek and Patryk’starxo’ Kopczynski are the only two players from that roster who are still active; the rest of the players were either demoted to the bench or transferred to other organizations.

If Acend hopes to compete in the 2022 Valorant Champions tournament, they will need to win a challenging matchup first. They will have to compete against M3C, the team who won the VCT Stage 2 playoffs match between the two of them 2-0, and they may have to win against Liquid, G2 Esports, and Guild Esports as well in order to qualify for the international competition.

Each of the three teams has competed at the international level, and with the exception of Team Liquid, they have maintained reasonably steady rosters throughout Stage 2.

Since L1NK played a variety of agents while he was with Liquid during the course of his stint with the team, it is likely that he will take over the flex role for Acend and replace Zeek one-for-one. Even though he has 11 agents that he has played professionally, the majority of his matches have been on Sage, Omen, Brimstone, and Breach.

On August 7, Acend will compete in the VCT EMEA LCQ to begin their journey back to the Valorant Champions.

BGMI Ban: NGO ‘Prahar’ thanks Indian Govt for Game Ban

An NGO named ‘Prahar’ has expressed their gratitude towards the Indian government and MeitY for banning BGMI in the country. They recently posted a video thanking the government for their recent move of banning the popular BR game.

Prahar was actively working towards banning BGMI in India. They had urged the government to take this move in March 2022. According to them, BGMI should have been included in the list of previously banned applications.

NGO Prahar Thankls Indian Govt For Banning BGMI

This issue was raised once again in the monsoon parliamentary session. This time, the expectancy of BGMI and its involvement in a homicide case were mentioned.

Yesterday, BGMI was removed from Google Play and Apple App Store and according to our reports, BGMI was banned in the country. Krafton and government authorities were going to conduct a meeting today and apparently, it has not been fruitful.

BGMI ban confirmed today as MeitY has banned this app under Section 69A of IT act.

‘Prahar’ mentioned that BGMI was no different than PUBG and Tencent was still controlling the app in the background.

The origin of the popular Fnatic Manager here meme

Games of the first-person shooter genre that require continual attention from a developer include Valorant and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Since the stakes in professional esports are so high, it is essential that these two games remain bug-free.

In order to accomplish this, gamers document and share game-breaking bugs in the hopes that developers may come across them. The comment sections of viral bugs are typically overrun with memes that read “Fnatic manager here,” which many Valorant players find to be unclear.

What does the Fnatic manager here meme mean? What exactly does the meme “Fnatic manager here” mean? Let us answer those questions.

In the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) community, making fun of game-breaking exploits and techniques is done using the catchphrase “Fnatic Manager Here, Please Delete This.” It has also grown commonplace in Valorant, but a smaller percentage of players in that game are familiar with its history.

After the notorious Olofboost incident occurred between Fnatic and Team LDLC during a match at Dreamhack Winter 2014, the meme quickly spread over the internet. That boost was found to be unlawful after the fact, which ultimately resulted in Fnatic suffering a defeat.

Valve has now installed a commemorative plaque at the location of the infamous event. The monument serves as a reminder to players not to climb the barriers. Since that time, it has developed into an important turning point in the history of CSGO.

Reddit user Davit “Blotecsgo” Ekdhal claims that he had posted the original boost bug two weeks before the game was actually played. However, in order to comply with the request of a member of Team Fnatic, he had to make the video private.

Although he was unable to provide any evidence to support his claim, he did come forward with a thread shortly after the flaw was exploited on November 28 during the quarterfinal. The sole proof is the date that the video was originally uploaded to YouTube.

I and my other friends wanted it up. But my friend was so adamant about removing it and was scared that flusha would hate him or something. So I just cba about the drama and then unlisted the video until they used it.

Blotecsgo

The entire thing might seem odd to you, but the aftermath of the event gave rise to a famous meme that is still current even after seven years have passed.
