PUBG Mobile Pro League: SEA – Teams, Schedule and more

PUBG Mobile Esports

PUBG Mobile Pro League: Southeast Asia is set to start from 23rd October in a three-day event that will decide the seeding slots for PUBG Mobile Global Championship. The Southeast Asia region is one of the biggest regions in the PUBG Mobile Esports circuit. The prominent countries from that region had their own PMPL through which the top teams have qualified in the grand finals of PMPL Fall 2020: SEA.

The PMPL editions for Thailand, Malaysia-Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam came to an end with a month-long regular season and a finals weekend. The professional teams that were invited through last season’s seedings and newcomers qualifying from PMCO battled here to claim the massive chunk of prize pools that ranged to more than $50,000 per region.

The Fall Season is set to begin with a total of 16 teams entering from various regions. The segregation of regions and the seeding slots according to Liquipedia is as follows:

PMPL: SEA Fall Split Schedule:

The tournament will begin on October 23 and end on October 25. The number of matches to be played is not decided for now but assuming from the previous renditions of these tournaments, a total of 15 to 18 matches; 5-6 matches per day; can be played.

Teams to look out for:

The meta has changed from the PMPL: Spring Split. The game has brought major changes to the point table format, decreasing the point allocation to the winning team from 20 to 15. This has forced the teams to take more calculated risks and flourish their aggressive game performances. This time, new teams POWER888 KPS, Aerowolf, and Team Secret Thailand have made an impressive start to their journey. These teams can give the veterans the run for their money.

Talking about veterans, the champions Bigetron RA are completely dominating the PUBG Mobile scenario in Southeast Asia. After winning the PUBG Mobile World League- East, the team qualified for SEA finals again through dominating the points table at PMPL Indonesia Regular Season. An interesting fact is that the team has ranked top in every tournament they have played since last October; except the last PMPL SEA Finals. This not only asserts their reign of dominance, but it also shows how synergetic the team has become without any roster shuffles and is producing results very consistently.

Along with Bigetron, the powerhouses like RRQ Athena, Yodoo Gank, BOX Gaming, and Team Secret have qualified from their respective regions. By looking at their records, it is certain that Bigetron RA will show their dominance this time also but it will be interesting to see how all these teams have grown up since they fought against each other in PMWL: East Season 0.
