Gaming YouTuber Madan under investigation for hateful remarks and abuse

Madan, a popular PUBG Mobile streamer from Tamil Nadu is under the scanner of State Child Welfare Commission and Chennai Crime Branch Police for reportedly using obscene language with people and inappropriate behavior with women. The YouTuber failed to appear in front of Chennai Crime Branch on Monday.

Several complaints were lodged against Madan for “using obscene language online when people disagree with him, is often heard abusing women, and behaves inappropriately with minor girls.” He is facing a major backlash for such derogatory actions as legal actions are taken against him.

Madan became a famous PUBG Mobile streamer and content creator with a subscriber count of over 750,000. The YouTuber mostly streams his content and interacts with fans on his livestreams. He is quite popular on social media as well, boasting a following of more than 250K on his Instagram.

According to Indian Express, Madan did not appear when called for investigation by Chennai Crime Branch. He was summoned for an inquiry about alleged hateful comments. Chennai City Police Commissioner Shankar Jiwal stated that actions will be taken against him if objectionable content is found on his channel.

The police has urged YouTube and Instagram to block Madan’s accounts and is probing if more people are linked to this matter. His objectionable actions have gained traction on Twitter as well. A hashtag “#ArrestMadanOP” went viral on Twitter with many people asking for strict against against the alleged culprit.

Police are still investigating the case and some actions might be seen if the allegations turn out to be true.
