Map 1: Ancient; Pick: M80; Winner: NEMIGA
The solid start from the Russian side was met with solid resistance from M80, thus forcing a well-matched first half. Switching sides with a 6-6 scoreline failed to separate both teams as we further progressed into the half, and it took the final round of the map for NEMIGA to edge out a win that could easily have gone the way of M80. zweih, with 20 frags by far, was the best player on the server and a crucial piece in NEMIGA edging out a win.
Map 2: Dust2; Pick: NEMIGA; Winner: NEMIGA
Having won Ancient, NEMIGA had a relatively easier time on Dust 2, a map that has been historically good for them in terms of results. Not only did NEMIGA pull ahead, but they also remained largely dominant for the entirety of the map as M80 failed to even get going. Having only managed 2 rounds in the first half, M80 failed to secure anything at all in the second half, handing the win to NEMIGA with a comfortable 13-2 scoreline for the Russians.
While M80 bows out having won a single series in the event, NEMIGA will have to win the next game, or they might join M80 on their way out of Austin.
