Monster Energy MW4 rewards are returning, giving Call of Duty fans a new way to earn free 2XP and in-game items ahead of Modern Warfare 4’s launch. Call of Duty Community Management confirmed on August 5 that Monster Energy is partnering with the franchise again, with 2XP going live for players on Day 1 of Multiplayer. Co-branded Monster cans featuring MW4 artwork and a QR code have already surfaced online.
Here’s what’s confirmed, what the can shows, and how the redemption process is expected to work once Monster Energy’s official promo page goes live.
What Are the Monster Energy MW4 Rewards
Photos of a co-branded Monster Energy can, first shared by X user RYG Official, started circulating on August 5. The can carries new Modern Warfare 4 branding along with a QR code and the line “Get in-game rewards. Full details at MonsterEnergy.com.”
CallofDutyCM responded to the photos on X, confirming the partnership is real. The account stated that the community will get 2XP on Day 1 of Multiplayer, and that existing 2XP tokens from Warzone and Black Ops 7 will carry over into Modern Warfare 4.
Therefore, the Monster Energy tie-in is happening, and Day 1 MP 2XP is coming. Full official terms from Monster Energy and Activision, including the complete reward list and redemption flow, have not been published yet.
What’s Printed on the Can
The fine print on the leaked can lists the following. These details have not been separately confirmed by Monster Energy or Activision at the time of writing, so treat them as provisional until an official promo page goes live.
| Detail | As Printed on the Can |
|---|---|
| Reward | 2XP unlocks in select current Call of Duty titles |
| Purchase window | September 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027 |
| Redeem by | April 30, 2027 |
| Daily limit | 1 hour per day |
| Total limit | 40 hours |
Which XP Tokens Transfer Into MW4
According to Call of Duty Community Management, the token carryover applies to standard Double XP Tokens, Double Weapon XP Tokens, and Double Battle Pass XP Tokens earned in Warzone or Black Ops 7. Battle Pass tokens won’t be usable right at MW4’s launch, since the first Modern Warfare 4 Battle Pass arrives with the Season 1 update roughly a month after release. Players’ COD Points also carry over between titles, so any points saved up in Black Ops 7 will be available in Modern Warfare 4.
How to Redeem Monster Energy Codes
Monster Energy hasn’t published MW4-specific redemption steps yet. Its current Call of Duty rewards page still displays the Black Ops 7 campaign, marked as ended. Based on how the last few Monster x Call of Duty promotions have worked, including the recent Black Ops 7 run, the process is likely to follow this pattern once the MW4 page goes live:
- Buy a participating Monster Energy product carrying Call of Duty or MW4 branding.
- Find the code under the can’s tab, or scan the printed QR code.
- Go to Monster Energy’s Call of Duty rewards site and log in, or create a new account.
- Link an Activision account in good standing if prompted.
- Enter the code and confirm it appears under the “My Codes” tab.
- Redeem the reward through the linked Activision account before the deadline.
Modern Warfare 4’s beta arrives in two waves. Early Access runs August 21 to 25 for players who preorder on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, or PC. The Open Beta follows from August 28 to September 1 and is open to everyone, including Nintendo Switch 2 players, with no preorder required. These dates are officially confirmed by Activision.
Modern Warfare 4 releases on October 23, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
