Marvel Takes Over Burger King India: Green Whoppers, Black Buns and Thor Nuggets

Burger King India's Avengers: Doomsday menu turns the Whopper green with a black bun. Here are all 10 items, prices from ₹109 and how collector meals work.

Burger King India has handed its menu over to Doctor Doom. Its Avengers: Doomsday collection coats burgers, nuggets, wings and fries in a bright green spicy garlic sauce and swaps the usual Whopper bun for a glossy black one.

The chain announced on the evening of 4 November that the “Burger King India X Avengers: Doomsday Collection” was available across all of its restaurants in India. That followed a week of teasers that began on 30 October, and the launch artwork pairs the Marvel Studios Avengers: Doomsday logo with a Burger King logo recoloured in green.

Ten items make up the range, and BK India’s own menu descriptions say almost all of them are “dunked” in the same spicy garlic sauce. The two headline burgers are the Doomsday Whopper Extra Crunchy Veg at ₹199 and the Doomsday Whopper Flame-Grilled Chicken at ₹239, both served in what BK calls a premium black glazed bun.

Three more burgers borrow their names from heroes and villains in the film. The Cyclops Soft Paneer Burger costs ₹219, the Loki Molten Cheese Burger is ₹239 and the Magneto Crunchy Chicken Burger sits at ₹229, with all three served in black glazed brioche buns. The sides follow the same formula, so nothing escapes the green treatment. Shuri Vibranium Fries cost ₹159 and come with the garlic sauce plus a black sprinkle, while Thor Thunder Nuggets are ₹109 for four pieces or ₹169 for six.

Chicken fans also get Falcon Fearless Chicken Wings at ₹209 for four pieces, along with Gambit Boneless Chicken at ₹199 for four or ₹299 for seven. Washing it all down is Fantastic Fizz, a sweet lime and lemon drink that runs from ₹112 for a small to ₹154 for a large.

Those are the prices on BK India’s online menu at the time of writing, and the product cards carry “Limited Edition” labels. For scale, the veg Doomsday Whopper weighs 352 g and carries 608 kcal, according to the nutrition details in the same listing.

How the Doomsday collector meals and pre-bookings work

Before the launch, BK India ran a pre-booking drive on the BK App for Veg and Chicken Doomsday Collector Meals, which bundle food with limited-edition merchandise. A pre-booking graphic from the chain put the starting price at ₹599, and the website banner shows a limited-edition tumbler as part of the offer.

On 3 November, BK India posted that 6,070 meals had been pre-booked and that redemption would start on 5 November. Under the campaign’s terms and conditions, customers redeem through the Dine-in section of the BK App, pick an outlet and collect the meal and merchandise at the counter. The rules carry a few catches that buyers should know about. Each customer could pre-book a maximum of one veg and one chicken meal, and redemption is not allowed at Burger King restaurants in airports or at franchisee-operated outlets.

Anyone who misses the 1 December 2026 redemption deadline will not simply lose the money, however. Instead, BK says the amount paid will be credited to the customer’s BK Wallet, where it can be spent on other products in the app.

Doctor Doom takes the throne before the 17 December release

BK India has framed the colour change as a hostile takeover rather than a seasonal recipe. One Instagram teaser warned that “the signs are turning green”, while the launch carousel says Doctor Doom “has taken over the menu” and that the favourites are all “Dunked in Doom”.

Both video teasers also lean on rows of director’s chairs labelled with menu names, the same device Marvel used when it revealed the Doomsday cast during a livestream in March 2025. In the October teaser, a paper Burger King crown perches on a chair that carries the Avengers: Doomsday logo.

The film itself is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, and Marvel lists its US release for 18 December 2026, with Robert Downey Jr returning to the MCU as Victor von Doom. In India, Marvel has moved the release a day earlier to 17 December, in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Burger King is far from the only brand cashing in on the film. In India, Ferrero launched Marvel-themed Kinder Schoko-Bons Crispy packs with Doctor Doom on every design in late October. In the US, Dunkin’ and Jack in the Box began their own Doomsday promotions this week, according to Attractions Magazine.

Marvel’s gaming side has been busy as well, since the Marvel Rivals November 5 patch has just added new skins for Spider-Man and The Thing. Fast-food crossovers are hardly new to gaming either, as the Genshin Impact x McDonald’s collaboration showed. Entertainment tie-ins are familiar territory for BK India, too. In June 2025, it ran a limited-time combo with ZEE5’s Detective Sherdil that paired a Whopper Jr with fries and a thick shake for ₹299, as afaqs reported.

This time the chain has gone considerably further, rebuilding a full menu around one villain. BK India has not yet said whether the Doomsday range will stay on sale until the film reaches Indian cinemas on 17 December.
