The good news for the Na’Vi fans is that their star player ‘GuardiaN’ has been practicing a lot ahead of the ELEAGUE and is having the most practice hours he has ever had before.

Mouseports:ย Is the team who is capable of taking a map or two off good teams and sometimes out right stunning team. They are currently ranked #11 in the world and having players like ‘nik0’ and ‘chrisJ’ who however performs in almost every match gives the team a boost to win the games. Mouseports were in a great form in the recent Cologne Major qualifier as they were the first team to qualify for the Major.

FlipSid3 :- The addition of ‘wayLander’ in the team has given them confidence for the upcoming tournaments. The team performed well in the Cologne Major qualifier and eliminated the Brazilian team ‘Immortals’ and then winning a nail-biting match against ‘HellRaisers’ to qualify for the Major. Immortals win DreamHack Summer 2016

0

Immortals beat Ninjas In Pyjamas to win DreamHack Summer 2016 by beating them twice in a best-of-three matchup, 16-10 on cache and 16-13 on mirage leaving a map unplayed!

Another spectacular event, and another major upset. CounterStrike surely is a very versatile game, time and again it has been proven by teams from all the regions that nothing can be predicted, even when Brazilian team is playing one of the world’s top teams, the results can’t be predicted. After Luminosity, Immortals (another Brazilian team) made their way to the top and beat the team which is from what is basically called as the eSports nation of the country, Sweden.

Immortals

Felps who carried his team all the way to win the title of DreamHack Summer 2016 champions, completely outplayed the Ninjas in his own fashion. Immortals played the gameย in such a standard way with individuals stepping up to showcase their gameplays and skills against some of the top players in the world. ย NiP were unable to resist the aggression put by the Immortals side, and it definitely proved wrong about prejudicing an organisationย by comparing their opponents. Immortals did exactly the same which Luminosity did earlier this year.

Fnatic 10ed FaZe

Things went very standard in the first map which was cache, according to the analysis and the statistics of Fnatic on the map, it looked weaker and FaZe were the favorites but with the likes of Dennis, Olof, JW, flusha and Krimz.. well the whole of Fnatic,ย they were able to beat FaZe 16-12 in the first map. The second map was terrifying for FaZe since they were beaten 16-0 in the same map earlier this week and the initial sprint of Fnatic tore FaZe apart yet again when Fnatic was up 11-0. ย The final scoreline which led Fnatic to victory over FaZe in cobblestone was not quite convincing either, FaZe did manage to prevent another whitewash only from losing against Fnatic with scoreline of 16-5 in the second map. Fnatic moves ahead in the ELEAGUE over FaZe. ELEAGUE returns next week with Group E, stay tuned for our complete coverage!

Eventually, Fnatic qualified for the finals of group D over TSM (2-1).

ELEAGUE Group D finals
Dignitas lost in semifinals

The second semi-final between FaZe and Dignitas was one of the most enjoyable matches of the group yet – obviously next to Fnatic’s triumph over FaZe – the first map cache was taken over by FaZe comfortably (16-10) with Dignitas just ticking double digit scores on the board, second and the third map, however, was a treat to the fans where both the teams played their heart out and skillfully were able to close each of the matches with a little twoย rounds difference between them. Closing the final scoreboardย 14-16 on Overpass and 16-14 on mirage, the final scoreline with a slight advantage favoring FaZe.

FaZe which beat Dignitas in a most interesting match-up of the group yet will be facing Fnatic in the finals, both of the teams were head to head in the first stage of the matches where, Fnaticย thrashed FaZeย in the most brutal way going 16-0 in the cobblestone and 8-16 in the following map. The e-Sports momentum is arising in Europe to be officially recognized as a sport.

Russia and Italy e-sports being recognized by the National Olympic Committee (NOC) and National Sports Authority (NSA) has increased the number of NOC/NSA recognized members into 21 Nations (Asia 14, Europe 4, Africa 3).
The Asian continent has led the spread of e-sports recognition until now, which was an influence of e-sports participating in the Asian Indoor Martial Arts Games (AIMAG), endorsed by the Olympic Council of Asia.

Although European countries are not as convinced as Asia, the recognition in Russia and Italy is expected to create a momentum to trigger e-sports interests to rise in by European Sports Authorities. e-Sports in Europe has been able to develop a sustainable model for the past years. Olofmeister returns to Fnatic roster

6

We surely were missing the beast as much as you, Olofmeister returns, the world’s best Counter Strike: Global Offensive player has returned back to his former roster for ELEAGUE. Due to the arm injury, Olof had to take a long break for himself to be back on the current roster. He returned last night at ELEAGUE and made his presence felt extremely well.

Due to an arm injury, Olofmeister had been away from the roster for quite a long time, Fnatic even had to miss DreamHack Mastersย Malmo due to his injury. During the yesterday’s matchup at ELEAGUE Group D kicker, Fnatic played TSM and FaZe in a best-of-two with each teamย and concluded at the top in both the series.

Olofmeister returns to Fnatic

Olofmeister returns to Fnatic

Playing versus TSM, Fnatic hesitated a little when taking them over in cache, where they managed to win the map 16-13 with Olofmesiter standing rigid with over 1 KDR and a couple of impact rounds to win over them. Fnatic were loaded with confidence entering into the second map where they comfortably beat TSM 16-3 in mirage, yet again Olof making a huge impact with almost 2 KDR and Average damage per round over 109. The second series of theย match versus FaZe was humiliation on another level by the Swedish side. They denied FaZe even a single round in the firstย map which was cobblestone,ย they went sprinting over a rampage of 16 rounds straight with a perfect score line (fourth one for Fnatic in the history) with the help of Olofmeister and Dennis’ clutches.

The second map was shockingly a return from the FaZe members as even after being down 0-16 on the first map, they managed to clinch the victory over the Swedes comfortable with scoreline 16-8, managing to the tie the series and got on board two points each for Fnatic and FaZe. We definitely would love to see Fnatic play this week in the ELEAGUE Group D finals on Saturday.
