“My teammates used me for their good” says disgruntled Ohaiyo

SEA DotA is on a roller coaster after aย shocking announcement came in last evening from the Fnatic HQ. The Swedish organization brought in the DotA fame, Universe into their SEA squad, on the cost of Ohaiyo.

The development comes in after Fnatic DotA 2 qualified for ESL One Katowice Major. The speculations were floating in the community of a potential swap where Saahil “Universe” Arora would replace Ohaiyo as their offlaner.

Some of the community influencers congratulated the team, while others labeled the move as “disgusted.” Following a qualification to Major, no team would kick their player, “no morals, rip fnatic” were among the complements the SEA giant were greeted.

Universe, a month ago had quit Evil Genius, a team he was associated with for more than four years. Even though Ohaiyo had greeted well in the official Fnatic announcement, his version of statement coming straight from his official Facebook account looks critical.

Ohaiyo, in Fnatic’s official statement

“Thank you, Fnatic for always taking care of me. I’m glad to be part of their family. As for now, I will officially step down from the active roster. Good luck to my teammates going forward. I would like to thank all the friends who keep on supporting me.”ย –ย Chong Xin โ€˜Ohaiyoโ€™ Khoo

Ohaiyo, on his Facebook profile

After thinking for these few days, I would like to talk about my feeling about how I got replaced by Universe. It is so sad and cruel, after winning TNC and qualified to ESL One Katowice Major Main Event. We had a pizza dinner to celebrate but after we finished, I was informed by Adam Shah ( Fnatic coach ) and Eric Khor ( Fnatic Manager ) that I’ve been replaced by Universe and they told me that Universe arrived Malaysia just the day before Fnatic vs TnC Grand final EslOne Katowice which was last Thursday. Universe stayed in EE sama rental house after he arrived Malaysia. (EE sama stays in another personal house due to his personal living.) This is how cruel they are, no matter the tournament win or lose, I will be replaced. Im not upset about being replaced , Im disappointed on being used by my teammates for their own benefit. They could just replace me once Universe is here, but not after we got the slot to Esl One Katowice. Perhaps they worry about losing the slot to a major event, so they choose not to change Universe on that day. I sense that everyone know Major is very important to each team and player. As I know, some players got informed just two three days ago before I got the news on last Friday night. Actually they should not be qualified for this major event by using those gimmick. Im writing this because Iโ€™m too disappointed on the decision maker and accomplice that use someone effort just for their own benefit. A lie with a purpose is one of the worst kinds, and the most profitable.

It is extremely difficult to determine how Fnatic has played their card. The team in their statement also mentioned that they were “sad” in bidding farewell to one of their “founding members” Ohaiyo.

On the other hand, they were quick to sideline him just after qualifying for the major.

Maiklele to form new team with Pronax and Pyth

1

Former Red Reserve player and one of the best AWPerย Mikail “Maikelele” Billย  announced his return to professional competitiveย CS:GO scene, yesterday in a Twitch Stream.

Maikelele said that he will be forming a team with, the three time major winner and former GODSENT captainย Markus โ€œpronaxโ€ Wallsten, Ninjas in Pyjamas stand-in Jacob “pyth” Mourujรคrvi, and former Fnatic Academy star Aleksandr “JayzaR” Zarkovic. Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad is a possible fifth that heโ€™d like to field for his first team of the year, but he also mentioned that he has been in touch with Dennis too.

After departing from Red Reserve last August, maikelele took a big step back from his competitive career.ย His career has become somewhat of a meme, because of his frequent team formations, like Red Reserve, followed by his removal from that same team a short time later.

โ€œI miss the tournaments. I miss the hype. I miss having a team. The feeling of having a team is something else,โ€ Maikelele said on stream. โ€œThe absolute best feeling is when youโ€™re at a tournament in a booth … and your whole team is just so fucking concentrated โ€ฆ and ready to play. Iโ€™m getting goosebumps [talking about it].โ€ he said it in his vod.

Maikelele currently does not have any organisation backing his new team up, he will be looking forward to start collecting funds from streaming, although it’s impossible for him to fund his entire team. As far as this is concerned, I think he will get picked up by organisations who recently dropped their team such as Epsilon Esports.

Even though, it was not an official announcement of the team, Maikelele stated that the following four “will start playing with each other, 110%” :

  • Mikailย “Maikelele”ย Bill
  • Markusย “pronax”ย Wallsten
  • Jacobย “pyth”ย Mourujรคrv
  • Aleksandrย “jayzaR”ย Zarkovic

Top 12 Professional Hottest CSGO players

Whenever I’m browsing YouTube I see videos with titles like “Hottest female CSGO pros” all the time. But no one is banking on “Hottest male CSGO pros.” Hottest CSGO players, a relatively casual project was my idea. Though the female version is still lying in my drafts, scheduled for post-Boston-major.

On a lighter note, just before the Boston Majors, I have cataloged some of the favorites!

Perhaps, I’ll do the honors.

These are community-driven results after numerous polls cast on our fans, so I will repeat myself. Browse this on a lighter note!ย

Hottest CSGO Players

Richard “shox” Papillon // G2 Esports

Once the best player in the game, shox struggles to consistently play on the level that one day made him the undisputed #1 on the world on both source and GO, where he plays for G2 being one 1/2 of the dynamic duo.The same can’t be said about his looks. Shoxie always seems to be consistently attractive in every public appearance he makes.

Imagine being approached by Mr. Shoxie himself at a nightclub in Paris. He leans forward and whispers “Voulez-vous revenir ร  la maison avec moi ce soir chรฉri?” in your ear. He’s the stereotype of a romantic French guy who will make the ladies travel all around the world just to have a chance to be with him.

Seanย “seang@res”ย Gares // Misfits Gaming

Knows as one of the best IGL’s and a reason why one of the top NA teams become a threat to top EU teams. Although his girlfriend’s team didn’t last long enough on the top. Sean lasts more than enough.

His looks made pansy hit on him live!ย

Nicolaiย “dev1ce”ย Reedtz // Astrtalis

Dev1ce is on #3 our list not only because he is moderately attractive, but for being the cool dude who breaks Astralis’ curse (3rd-4th places) with his insane frags and ratings. Dev1ce is solely responsible for making his team a top 10 team as he always makes the twitch chat go man not hot mode / crazy with his kills and sexiness.ย There’s probably no doubt who would do the modeling for Astralis merchandise.

Nathanย “NBK-“ย Schmittย // G2 Esports

One of the most successful French players in the game. He being part of the most legendary teams (LDLC, VeryGames, EnVyus), he’s pulling of the looks pretty darn good. His tattooed sleeves, beard and hair makes the look almost complete.

Adilย “ScreaM”ย Benrlitomย // G2 Esports

Believe me or not, many girls (me too fml, I’m a boy ) get impressed by scream’s haircut and look. His snapchat handle tells a lot about how much time he spends in front of the mirror to get ready up.

The man with highest headshots % among all the pro players, andย he is the other 1/2 of G2’s dynamic duo. People call him headshot machine.ย When he pairs up with shox and hit the club with his well-built body, nice hair, and tan, they become the deadliest duo you have ever seen.

Markus ‘pronax’ Wallsten // GODSENT

Swedish star pronax had his share of fame during the Fnatic’s regime of 2015-2016. Other than considered to be one of the best in-game leaders during the era, pronax was also recognized as the brains behind the legendary fnatic lineup which went on long winning numerous tournaments.

After being sidelined from the organization, pronax founded GODSENT with his colleagues which did bring good results, but he couldn’t revive the status they once used to hold.

Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjรฆrbyeย // Astralis

Monster ingame, but handsome in real life. This young guy surely has a good future ahead of him. I’m 100% sure that his social media’s handles are flooded by hot girls who would like to date him. Seems like a really nice guy and will become a threat against Devices modelling career for Astralis in the future.

Ricardo “fox” Pacheco // Team Kinguin

Daddy goals?

Father of one, known as one of the hated professional players in the community is, of course, a true bad boy!

Tattoos all over the body. No doubt he has the best dressing sense amongst all the pro players. Generic thought, girls prefer bad, and he truly deserves a place there!

Hรฅvard “rain” Nygaard // FaZe Clan

Hรฅvard โ€œrainโ€ Nygaard with his Girlfriend SonyaTheEvil

Mr. Nygaard is one of the best clutcher ingame.ย It’s not without a reason he is in a relationship with “Sonyatheevil”. His long blonde hair and masculine face fits him really well.

A true norwegian alpha male viking. All glances goes towards him as soon as he enters the club in Oslo and orders a keg filled with mead.

Patrikย “f0rest”ย Lindberg // NIP Gaming

He’s the living legend of Counter Strike, very few pros have achieved the greatness this man has on counter-strike.

Forest looks handsome AF with his beard and without a beard, he looks likes aย Calvin Klein model.ย He looks great anyday, anywhere, he is one of the most successful cs pros ever (if not the most) and that’s why he’s on our list.

Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo // SK Gaming

Remember the moment when FalleN hugged Coldzera when he was awarded the MVP trophy of MLG Columbus 2016? I do, and boy did it make me wet. It was like having a loving father hugging his son. Even though FalleN is kind of young (25years) he already has the charisma of a really confident and loving father. I would love to be a FalleN’s son or lover in my second life.

Perhaps, he was nominated PC personality of the year by the eSports Industry Awards in 2016. He is the owner of Brazilian eSports organization Games Academy. As of 2016 is currently described as one of the top AWPers, in-game leaders, and overall players in the world.

Lincolnย “fnx”ย Lau // 100 Thieves, ex-SK Gaming

The two-time major champion fnx isn’t lost in the race of the beauties. The twenty-seven-year-old Brazilian, who once stood by FalleN, moved to Immortals at a later stage, currently rendering his services to 100 Thieves. Being a Counter-Strike legend for over a decade now, fnx announced his retirement from the CS 1.6 scene in 2012.

Fnx was surrounded by controversies when he was allegedly kicked by SK Gaming.

BONUS

Dosia – THE X GOD // Gambit Esports

It is ironic. Trust it or not. The reason fans, shout-casters, and even competitive players call him X-GOD is simply ironic. It is clearly visible that his looks arenโ€™t comparatively fascinating, so in a way, people found a way to mock him for his appearance by calling him โ€œs*x godโ€ since the CS:GOย games are broadcasted in TV lately, the audience has started to call him โ€œx-godโ€ instead.

Why is Dosia called XGOD?

ELEAGUE Boston Major 2018

Google invests in Chinese game streaming platform Chushou

1

The U.S. based internet giant Google has reportedly invested into Chinese mobile game live streaming platform Chushou. The Beijing-based startup already has Qiming Ventures, Alpha X Capital as its backers. After Series D funding round, the capital now totals to $120 million for Chushou.

The last Chushou funding,ย announced almost exactly one year ago, was $58 million and prior to that, it had raised about $20 million. According to TechCrunch theย Chinese media reportsย last week, which put Chushouโ€™s new round at 500 million RMB (about $77 million), werenโ€™t accurate.

Earlier reports suggest that Google has inducted close to $61 million in Chushou.

In a press statement, Frank Lin, Googleโ€™s principal of corporate development in north Asia, said โ€œChushou has built an impressive platform, with a dedicated and quickly growing base of content creators and consumers, and smart expansion plans. Weโ€™re excited to be supporting Chushou through this investment to help them execute those plans, bringing great mobile gaming content to more people around the world.โ€

Chushouย claims to have close to ten million streamers, with concurrent users hitting 2,50,000 every day. Among the thousand supported games, ninety million gamers are registered users, making the platform one of the largest active gaming online community in China.

Astralis gets back dev1ce on time, equipped for ELEAGUE Boston Major 2018

2

Astralis’s Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz affirmed via web-based networking media that he will come back to dynamic competition play with his group Astralis, which is uplifting news for all aficionados of the Danish side. Conveying the Legend status from Krakow, Astralis are slated to play at the ELEAGUE Major in the not so distant future, however they were nearly contending with a huge impede.

Dev1ce have been on rest since IEM Oakland following sickness and must be supplanted by a modest bunch of players in Astralis’ next competitions: “dennis” Edman for BLAST Pro Series and Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel at EPL Season 6 finals.

In spite of playing with untested lists, Astralis took second on home turf at BLAST, however couldn’t pull together for a decent arrangement at EPL, leaving the gatherings as 9-tenth.

Had dev1ce’s restorative issues not been settled, the group would’ve needed to play with mentor Danny “zonic” Sรธrensen โ€” a reasonable drawback and difficulty thinking about the high stakes of the Major.

With the AWPer back in shape, nonetheless, this takes Astralis back to being one of the fundamental top choices for the title, particularly thinking about the condition of their greatest adversaries.

The most sizzling group towards the finish of 2017, SK Gaming, are going to with a secured Joรฃo “felps” Vasconcellos (according to Valve rules) rather than Ricardo “boltz” Prass, the last of whom helped the Brazilians to their last couple of titles.

Legends, for example, Fnatic, Virtus.pro G2A and Gambit Esports have additionally been battling, while any semblance of FaZe Clan and G2 Esports need to survive the Challengers Stage first where anything can happen.

The ELEAGUE Major will commence Jan. 12 in Atlanta and proceed till Jan. 28, moving to the Agganis Arena in Boston for the playoffs organize.

Why TyLoo has withdrawn from ELEAGUE Boston Major 2018

2

Tyloo and Luis โ€œPeacemakerโ€ Tadeu released official statements relating TyLoo’s absence from the Major, and the stories from both of them is pretty interesting.

As announced, TyLoo will not be attending the Boston Major because Valve put Hansel โ€œBnTeTโ€ Ferdinandโ€™s player autograph sticker into the game instead of Peacemakerโ€™s. A failed agreement between TyLoo and Peacemaker resulted in TyLoo to skip this Major. As Valve and ELEAGUE also played minor roles in the sticker controversy.

According to TyLoo Peacemaker was โ€œreluctant to attendโ€ the Major unless he was given a portion of the organizationโ€™s sticker profits. As he asked for a percentage of TyLooโ€™s profits, mainly because BnTeTโ€™s sticker was in the game instead of his confirmed by Jared โ€œDeKayโ€ Lewis from a report.

BnTeT could not attend the Boston Major because he was denied a visa for travel to the U.S. Peacemaker also claims that “Valve accepted his player autograph sticker submission prior to the initial sticker release.

As peacemaker came to know that he won’t be having his personal sticker, he ostensibly asked for an adjustment from TyLoo regarding his stipend as a player, instead of as a coach. But for the sake of TyLoo’s player’s peacemaker decided to drop his compensation. But TyLoo allegedly decided that it’d rather miss the Major than playing with the Brazilian coach at the event – statement came out indirectly from TyLoo, according to Peacemaker.

TyLoo finally decided to step out from the major, resulting Flash Gaming to replace them in the Challenger stage. Flash Gamingโ€™s stickers were added to CS:GO last night by Valve, while TyLooโ€™s stickers have become coveted items on the Steam community market.

1

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) hasย reportedly invested $16 millionย to set up an esports headquarter in mainland China, according to multiple Chinese news outlets.
