PUBG hits an all time low when it comes to daily player counts

Player Unknownโ€™s Battlegrounds, one of the big names in the league of Battle Royale games available on Pc as well as consoles has not had a very good year so far.

Pubg was launched in March 2017 and just last week, the game saw its lowest player numbers since its launch 2 years ago. The game once bragged having 3 Million players but now it sits at 500,000 which is a massive drop.

Tencent is known for aggressively rolling out constant updates to provide new content to its players and always giving them some new reason to keep playing the game. New skins, balancing changes, map reworks, new weapons makes Pubg one of the most engaging Battle Royale game to play as some of the games out there offer just a single map to its players (Fortnite in particular). But all this has unfortunately failed as Tencent could not bring back its player base to its original glory.

The success of the mobile version of the game will mostly prevent Pubg Corporation from going through a rough time as they keep on providing updates for the game and we never know, one right move and the game once again reaches the top of the table. 500,000 is not a bad statistic at all as most of the developers wish that these many players were playing their game on a daily basis. Pubgโ€™s prime era is remembered by everyone who ever played the game, it would be a sight for sore eyes to see Pubg reinstated to its former supremacy.

Evil Geniuses release SumaiL and s4

It seems like EG got a new fresh set of eyes and a creative mindset. After a not so fruitful, DPC season being named the king of third place, they diversified their roster.

EG also took this opportunity to thank Sumail and s4 for their service.

EG also announced that they will be participating in the qualifiers for the first DPC major of the season, as well as the Dota 2 World Pro Invitational Singapore in December.

Looking at this roster, this diversifies the roster. Ramzes started his professional career with the Offlane position so it’s nothing new for him and of course Abed is a good Midlaner with 10,000 matchmaking points. We are all excited to see how this roster performs in this DPC season.

flusha and Golden return to Fnatic

Fnatic have announced that they have completed their roster with the signing of Robin “flusha” Rรถnnquist and Maikil “Golden” Selim. Fnatic have had a rough year with back to back poor finishes across all tournaments, which forced such a decision by them. After the repeated disappointment, this decision was further solidified with them missing out on the Berlin Major, which is a setback as it is hard to imagine one without the Swedish powerhouse.

Flusha was a star player for them during his prolonged spell and like his signing compatriot golden, both of them spent a shortlived time in Cloud9. flusha won nine Big Events with Fnatic, including three Majors, between 2013 and 2018, while golden came out of their academy to replace Olofmeister.

“It feels great to be back in Fnatic, where most of my fondest CS:GO memories were created – and, hopefully, there will be even more in the future,” the 26-year-old told fnatic’s website.

“We all made some mistakes in the past that we have learned from and I believe we have all matured and become more professional since both mine and Goldenโ€™s departure from Fnatic last year.

“During my break from the CS:GO scene, I reflected a lot upon the negative and positive things that I showed in my entire professional esports career and I have tried to now focus on what once made me one of the best players in the world.

“Iโ€™m excited to come back to play with some of the best players I have ever played with and especially to be beside such a young talent in Brollan. Hopefully, we can all show him the experience we have and teach him everything we know to make sure he becomes the best player in the world at some point!”

With these two signings, fnatic now have:

  • Jesper “JW” Wecksell
  • Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson
  • Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin
  • Robin “flusha” Rรถnnquist
  • Maikil “Golden” Selim (loan)
  • Andreas “Samuelsson” Samuelsson (coach)
  • Richard “Xizt” Landstrรถm (benched)
  • Simon “twist” Eliasson (benched)

Golden is set to take the leadership from Richard “Xizt” Landstrรถm and Simon “twist” Eliasson will be replaced by flusha which only adds to their firepower, this roster is close to the one that took home IEM Katowice 2018.

TSM had major setbacks this year with their flagship team failing to qualify for the League Of Legends World Championship. This has been two years in a row that their roster has failed to do so, which is surprising being a flagship team for an organization of TSMโ€™s magnitude.

The construction of the faculty will begin next Thursday, as they plan to bring all their esports roster and management division under one roof to create a suitable environment for the players and the staff to be motivated well to compete further. They are currently invested in Rocket League, Hearthstone, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Fortnite, Apex Legends and more.

TSM were once a top organization but lately has fallen out of flavor with the likes of Team Liquid and Cloud9 taking all the clout from their hands in the North American gaming scene. The faculty is expected to be up and running by February 2020.

Avangar wins Blast Pro Series Moscow

Berlin Major runner up Avangar, finally took home e top-tier premier trophy in Moscow, they faced serious challenges on their way to the finals. To reach here they had to best MIBR, NaVi, and ENCE, on the contrary ForZe were the least favorite coming into the tournament, but they dominated top teams to reach the grand finals.

The final brawl was set to be in Overpass, Inferno, then followed by Dust 2. Overpass commenced with Avangar edging out the first half with a single point lead but they managed to dominate ForZe once they switched over the CT side, closing the map 13:16 in their favor. On paper, Avangar won the match but at times Forze looked like they were going to run away with it, but Jame turned up for them on the CT side and put those chances to bed.

Moving over to Inferno, ForZe started on the CT side, player playing off each other, and supreme decision making gave them the edge over Avangar, tactful economic decisions, and some players turning up for their side gave them a 10:5 lead on the first half, thanks to Jerryโ€™s triple kill hold which steps out among the rest of superb clips. Once they switched sides, Avangar seemed to have found their footing as they were closing in on the gap but only managed 7 rounds while ForZe managed six thus closing the with a 16:12 scoreline favoring ForZe, thus taking us to a third map. Jameโ€™s 1v3 clutch was the best play so far from any player on this map, beside AdreN managing to stop a defuse in a critical situation.

The final map was Dust 2, where ForZe were heavily bested by Avangar. They only seemed to have managed 4 rounds on their CT side, xsepower clutched a 1v2 to take the round but Busterโ€™s 1v3 stole the highlight clip from him. They only took 2 rounds on their T side which wasnโ€™t good enough to close a 4:11 scoreline they managed in the first half. Finally closing the map with a 6:16 scoreline. Avangar showed confidence and held strong as they took the prize home, Jame was blessed with the MVP of the tournament due to this standout performance for his team.

CSGO: s1mple hints at big upcoming decision

Na’Vi’s performance has gone downhill in the recent days after facing constant losses across different tournaments they have participated in. Their BLAST career doesn’t look good either as once the 1st at Copenhagen failed to impress fans at Madrid and Miami with 5th and 4th place finish respectively, currently, this last-place finish at Moscow will be a nail in the coffin for Na’Vi’s performance at the series based event.

For a world-class player like s1mple, the constant failure of Na’Vi at putting up good performances at the events must be frustrating, which makes it possible that s1mple might not even be playing with his team at the next event at all if he is unsatisfied with them.

s1mple has said the following in his twitter post after the humiliating loss faced by Na’Vi at the BLAST Pro Moscow series:

“Time to rethink everything and make the right decision”

The CS:GO competitive scene is very volatile right now and teams are constantly looking for big swaps and fresh starts. It is highly expected that we are going to see some big changes coming up in the two weeks between the end of the BLAST Pro Moscow and the start of ESL ONE New York.
