Mousesports defeats OG 2-0 during their debut match at CS_Summit 5

CS_Summit 5 was OGโ€™s first tournament after their lineup got introduced. Although the fans were cheering up for this new roster, they couldnโ€™t live up to the expectations at CS_SUMMIT 5 as Mousesports were the one to take both the victories at CS_Summit 5 during the Debut Match. For both these matches, โ€œNaToSaphiXโ€ played instead of โ€œwoxicโ€ as he could not attend the event due to visa-related issues.

First Map [Mirage] : Mousesports 16 – 8 OG

Mirage was OGโ€™s map of choice followed by the ban of Vertigo and Train by Mousesports.

Although OG was successfully able to take control of the site and get the bomb planted for 6 rounds, they were unable to take the rounds in their favour. Afterwards, they were able to get some rounds to finish with the scoreline 6-9, in favour of mousesports.

On the Counter-Terrorist Side, ISSAA was able to get a triple kill with the USP but except for another round afterwards, they couldnโ€™t convert any more into their favour.

Second Map [Dust 2] : Mousesports 16 – 14 OG

For this map, Mousesports were the terrorists at the start of the game. Even though OGโ€™s performance was not upto the mark in Mirage, they were doing very well and the scoreline was equal for both the teams just before the match point. After both teams had 14 points in favour of both the teams, Mousesports were able to close the map after a successful retake followed by a strong hold on A-Site by NaToSaphiX.

In the end, Mousesports kick started CS_Summit 5 by winning both the matches against OG with the scoreline of 16-8 and 16-14 on Mirage and Dust 2 respectively.

Cloud9 considering acquisition of ATK roster

According to Jarek ‘Dekay’ Lewis, fabled North American organisation Cloud9 are prospectively looking to acquire the ATK roster. The report further adds that this possibility has been discussed within the organisation for a while now and that the North American giants have decided to step up their pursuit of the ATK roster.

Cloud9 lost their core to Gen.G, with Timothy ‘autimatic’ Ta, Kenneth ‘koosta’ Suen and Damian ‘daps’ Steele transferred to their new organisation. The move left Cloud9 with just Oscar ‘mixwell’ Canellas from their active roster, with Yassine ‘Subroza’ Taoufik currently playing with a stack named Just For Fun.

ATK on the other hand, have had a massively positive last 3 months or so with their current roster. The highlight has truly been their wins over North and G2 at ESL Pro League Season 10 LAN Finals, with ATK achieving a top 8 finish.

BnTeT on Gen.G radar

According to Jared ‘DeKay’ Lewis, Gen.G are looking to bring in Hansel ‘BnTeT’ Ferdinand from Chinese organisation TYLOO. The report further speculates that BnTeT’s TYLOO contract is up for expiry at the end of the year and that an offer has been tabled, with a clear picture yet to emerge.

Gen.G have already made headlines in the Esports scene and is currently ranked seventh in the list of most valued Esports organisations. Their foray into the CSGO scene saw them pick up Cloud9 trio Timothy ‘autimatic’ Ta, Damian ‘daps’ Steele and Kenneth ‘koosta’ Suen. Sam ‘s0m’ Oh was soon announced to have joined in from Envy, with the organisation opting to field Hunter ‘SicK’ Mims until their fifth is confirmed.

BnTeT is widely regarded as one of the best, if not the best, talents within the Asian CSGO scene and has substantiated this claim with his performances on the server, boasting an HLTV Rating of 1.20 over 2019 for TYLOO.

TYLOO have been a mixed bag in 2019 but seem have come good of late, winning ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2019 Asia while also reaching the semi-finals at CSGO Asia Championships 2019, a tournament where the Chinese organisation trumped the likes of G2 and mibr, managing to take a map off of mousesports as well.

While the rumour persists, BnTeT is set to play NEST Pro League 2019 and the Champions Cup Finals with TYLOO this month, with the potential of also representing his current organisation at WESG finals if they manage to qualify.

Moving to Mixer was not about money says Ninja

0

Popular comedian Kevin Hart interviewed one of the most popular streamers in the world Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins on his show Cold As Balls on the LOL Network YouTube channel.

The former professional Halo player said that unlike everyone’s stance on financial benefits being the primary motive of Ninja behind his move to Microsoft’s streaming platform Mixer, this deal was to help him in the growth of his brand. Although Keemstar on his YouTube show DramaAlert said that Ninja might have made an unreal amount of $100 Million from this deal.

โ€œContrary to popular belief, it wasnโ€™t a money play. The deal was better to continue to grow our brand.โ€ said Ninja.

This deal earned him some serious money and might help in the growth of his brand but it also affected his viewership over at Mixer. Like every streamer switching sides, he also witnessed a serious decline in the viewership of his channel. Ninja once set the Twitch record of the most concurrent unique viewers but now his channel his finding it difficult to reach back to those heights again.
