After the grand success of PMCO India and South Asiaโ€™s 2020 regional finals, fans were all geared up for the commencement of PUBG Mobile Pro League South Asia. But now the event will not take place on LAN instead it will be carried out as an online tournament. It means that teams will play either from their boot-camps or centers and no audience or venue will be involved.

Official Statement from Tencent Games:

Naโ€™Vi claim No.1 spot in HLTVโ€™s CSGO world rankings

According to the latest HLTV rankings, CIS organization Natus Vincere has topped the leader boards overhauling the Danes who are now ranked second. Natus Vincere was able to achieve this foot after they crushed the French side G2 Esports in the Grand final of the IEM Katowice 2020 notably winning the first Masters ESL Pro Tour event of the year. Naโ€™Vi are now on the top of the table with 853 points while Astralis sits at second with 847 points.

Astralis did held to the #1 ranking spot for a brief period from April 2018 to June 2019 where they won 3 successive majors at London in 2018, Katowice in 2019 followed by the StarLadder Major in the same year itself. But they couldnโ€™t defend their spot as the North American side Team Liquid did succeed to dethrone them after their successful run at IEM Chicago 2019 and ESL Pro League Season 9 finals where they dismantled G2 Esports to win the title at Montpellier, France.

This is the second time Natus Vincere has fetched itself the #1 spot in the HLTV rankings since the first time in April 2016 following two runners -up positions at DreamHack Masters Malmรถ and in the MLG Columbus Major. But their happiness was short-lived as Team Luminosity did surpass them on the board after they did notch up their first major title at Columbus which is mentioned above. At the moment the Russian giants are now dominating the Danish side Astralis as they were eliminated by the former at the BLAST Premier Spring Series and IEM Katowice 2020 as well where they were thrashed 2-0 in the semifinals. We will soon be witnessing these two sides lock horns in the ESLโ€™s brand new Pro League season 11 which is all decked up to start from the 16th of March and onwards.

Brax joins T1 as a professional VALORANT player

South Korean organization T1 has reportedly acquired former CS:GO Pro Braxton โ€œSwagโ€ Pierce for itโ€™s professional team which will be competing in the pro scene of Riot Games’ upcoming FPS title Valorant. T1 has bought in Swag as a content creator and a professional player as well thus in the due course honoring the latterโ€™s eagerness to compete in the same and be the best player in Valorantโ€™s pro circuit.

Previously known as Project A, Riot games finally came up with the name Valorant on 2nd of March. No sooner than this news came up on riot Gamesโ€™s Twitter, we did witness some of the leading top teams in the industry who decided to capitalize on this new FPS title as they already seemed to have joined the hype train, in a race to build a team for competing at the same. T1 isnโ€™t the only team to have shown interest for this upcoming project as Team SoloMid and G2 Esports have already pitched in their interests on their Twitter accounts in a bid to create a team.

But if we bring some light on this report, T1 might have got an upper hand in this upcoming project as they already have recruited North Americaโ€™s CSGO Veteran who never really got to showcase his skills following the 2015 iBUYPOWER Scandal where Swagโ€™s future seemed to have blipped out. Since then Valve never looked up in his case as he remained banned until on February 28th , the latter decided to hang up his mouse and decided to step down from Counter Strike : Global Offensiveโ€™s Pro circuit.

Swag though might have quit the professional scene of CS:GO, but he did mention in his twitter post that he would still be participating in some casual PUG matches. We wonโ€™t be seeing him take over the reins until the summer of 2020 as Valorant will then get ready to sail.

GuardiaN joins Dignitas on loan for Flashpoint after Hallzerk visa issues

Ladislav โ€œGuardiaNโ€ Kovรกcs will be filling in the shoes of Hรฅkon โ€œhallzerkโ€ Fjรฆrli to help Team Dignitas Compete at the Flashpoint Tournament.

GuardiaN to stand-in for hallzerk at Flashpoint.

Team Dignitas on itโ€™s twitter has announced that Ladislav โ€œGuardiaNโ€ Kovรกcs has been bought in as a stand-in, who will be replacing Hรฅkon โ€œhallzerkโ€ Fjรฆrli on the starting five as the later is currently encountering Visa issues which doesnโ€™t put him in a place to compete along with his team. GuardiaN will finally be competing with a team though it would be on a temporary basis, but the community will be witnessing him play after nearly spending around two months on the bench at Natus Vincere after the CIS Organization chose to replace him with Ilya โ€œPerfecto” Zalutskiy

The 28yo Ukrainian was last seen competing under the banner of Natus Vincere at the EPICENTER 2019 held in Moscow, Russia where Naโ€™Vi finished in the 5th-6th position after they were shown the door by Team Evil Geniuses led by Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz and his troops. This Flashpoint tournament might act as an Ice breaker for GuardiaN and his Fate as a Professional player which could help him find a new home.

OG failed to qualify for its first CS:GO Major

Earlier in the weekend, OG Esportsโ€™s CS:GO roster led by Aleksi โ€œAleksibโ€ Virolainen and company were unable to qualify for the Europe minor after they were shown the door by Team Godsent in the do or die match of the Europe Minor closed qualifier.

The best of 3 series started on OGโ€™s Map pick Train where the troops of Team Godsent had their upper hand in the entire map where they managed to concede just 3 rounds against the newly formed roster comprising of the veterans like the two-times major winner Nathan โ€œNBK-โ€œ Schmitt and ex-North spearhead Valdemar Bjรธrn โ€œvaldeโ€ Vangsรฅ. By securing Train with the final score of 16-3, Godsent did made OG to regret upon their map pick where they failed to come up with their guns blazing. But OG couldnโ€™t live up with the humiliation as they bounced back on Dust2 pretty hard where we got to witness some heroic plays from valde and Issa โ€œISSAAโ€ Murad. After being enforced to enter overtime, Team OG did ensure to kick into a different gear where they overhauled Kevin โ€œkRYSTALโ€œ Amend and his troops to successfully seal the map with a scoreline of 22 -20 though being the latterโ€™s map choice. In the decider game on Nuke the map which was left in the veto pool, the two teams were seen having some close encounters featuring Pavle โ€œmadenโ€ Boลกkoviฤ‡โ€™s successful retake on the B site after he did take down 3 from the T side to add one more round to the Lead making the viewers to read the score 13-10. OG did have a chance to push the game into Overtime but Mateusz โ€œmantuuโ€ Wilczewski got couldnโ€™t live up to his teamโ€™s expectations as he got outplayed by Kevin โ€œkRYSTALโ€œ Amend when the later made a silent drop from the heaven to the A site hence enabling him to take down mantuu and successfully defusing the planted C4.

Though OG were considered to be the heavy contenders among the ones qualifying for the minor, they did fell short of some close rounds but in the due course they did come up with some amazing Counter Strike and did show a lot of character in the entire series. Earlier before the closed qualifier event, OG did book a berth at the Blast Premier Spring 2020 finals which is scheduled to be held in Russiaโ€™s Capital, Moscow in June.

This is not the first time, visa issues have plagued Dota 2 scene for years now. Unfortunately, it is Team Adroit who is affected by the same with ESL One Los Angeles Major being only one week away.

The news came out this morning on Team Adroitโ€™s official Twitter handler

The organization stated that despite its โ€œnumerous attemptsโ€ Captain Marvin โ€˜Boombacsโ€™ Rushton was unable to obtain a visa to Los Angeles, United States.

A stand-in will be announced in few days by the organization to fill in the position 4 void. As reported, it is very likely it to be Michael โ€™ninjaboogieโ€™ Ross Jr as he is currently not participating in major and doesn’t seem to have any plans forthcoming.

It will Team Adroitโ€™s second time going to a major for the DPC 2019-20 season. Previously the squad made it MDL Chengdu Major and finished within the bottom four.

Despite the unfortunate situation of Adroit, the show will go on with a stand-in is the bottom line for the time being. Keeping in mind, Adroit is not playing with the original squad, this might affect the teamโ€™s synergy.

It is too early to guess how well they will perform, we shall see within a weekโ€™s time March 15th onwards, ESL One Los Angeles is featuring a $1,000,000 prize pool and 15,000 DPC points on the line.

PokemoN โ€“ First Pakistani national to attend CSGO Minor

Saad “PokemoN” Ahmed and co. earlier today won the Asia Minor Middle-East Closed Qualifier for ESL One Rio 2020 and secured their slot for Asia Minor. Camel Riders remained undefeated right through the open qualifier. 21-year-old is the only Pakistani national who will attend a Minor event for a Valve sponsored major.

The finale of Middle-East Closed Qualifier between Camel Riders and Aequus was embroiled in a controversy. South-East Asia and Middle-East is notoriously known for routing issues and high pings on servers that aren’t far off. Camel Riders had a one map advantage in best-of-five encounter coming from the upper bracket. Aequus suddenly decided to register their protest and forfeited the fifth map citing colossal ping difference between the two sides.

The Israelis had 200ms ping while their opponents played on 5ms. Shiran “Shushan” Shushan said, “We decided to forfeit the last map of the qualifier due to being forced to play with 200ms. ESL decided it’s fair that a decider match will have 195ms difference.” He further thanked his fans and announced that he would focus to qualify for FPL-C.

Camel Riders will attend Asia Minor for ESL One Rio 2020 Major between April 26 – May 02 alongside Renegades, ViCi Gaming, Mazaalai and TIGER.
