This is not the first time, visa issues have plagued Dota 2 scene for years now. Unfortunately, it is Team Adroit who is affected by the same with ESL One Los Angeles Major being only one week away.

The news came out this morning on Team Adroit’s official Twitter handler

The organization stated that despite its “numerous attempts” Captain Marvin ‘Boombacs’ Rushton was unable to obtain a visa to Los Angeles, United States.

A stand-in will be announced in few days by the organization to fill in the position 4 void. As reported, it is very likely it to be Michael ’ninjaboogie’ Ross Jr as he is currently not participating in major and doesn’t seem to have any plans forthcoming.

It will Team Adroit’s second time going to a major for the DPC 2019-20 season. Previously the squad made it MDL Chengdu Major and finished within the bottom four.

Despite the unfortunate situation of Adroit, the show will go on with a stand-in is the bottom line for the time being. Keeping in mind, Adroit is not playing with the original squad, this might affect the team’s synergy.

It is too early to guess how well they will perform, we shall see within a week’s time March 15th onwards, ESL One Los Angeles is featuring a $1,000,000 prize pool and 15,000 DPC points on the line.
