Team Falcons has officially bid farewell to competitive Dota 2, bringing an end to one of the most decorated and stable rosters in the game’s long history.
The Saudi Arabia-based organization confirmed the move through a social media post on September 6, 2026, releasing all five players and closing out a run that began in November 2023.
The Team Falcons Dota 2 roster, consisting of Oliver “skiter” Lepko, Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak, Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf, Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen, and Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu, with head coach Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling, went nearly three full years without a single roster change, certainly an extraordinary feat in a scene known for constant shuffling.
As a result, they broke the record for most games played together by a five-man squad, surpassing 790 total matches with a win rate above 65 percent.
Over the years, the Falcons Dota 2 roster has won several major trophies, including a title at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague and ESL One Birmingham victories, and the crowning achievement of lifting the Aegis of Champions at The International 2025 after downing Xtreme Gaming in a five-game final. Across their time in the game, the org reportedly pulled in roughly $7.3 million USD in prize winnings.
Fittingly, The International 2026 turned out to be the roster’s last tournament together. Following a shaky group stage, Falcons made their way into the playoffs via an elimination match, then got knocked into the lower bracket and eventually eliminated by former champions Team Liquid, finishing 7th-8th. Prior to the event, Cr1t- had already hinted that it would be his last, and has since suggested his playing career may be over.
In its farewell statement, Falcons framed the decision as a strategic pivot rather than a retreat, saying its focus is shifting toward ventures that better fit the organization’s long-term direction.
With four of the best players in the world now free agents, speculation is running rampant in the Dota 2 community over where Malr1ne, skiter, ATF, and Sneyking will land next.
