Valorant Indian Servers will go live with Bahrain says Riot Dev

The third act of Valorant is set to bring a number of new additions to the competitive shooter. Apart from the new agent, map, Battle Pass, and a revamped competitive system, Act 3 will also bring new servers to North Africa and the Middle East, as previously confirmed by Riot Games themselves.

However, the devs confirmed today that Indian servers will be going live alongside the Middle Easter servers on the same date.

In a Reddit thread complaining about ping problems in Bahrain servers, a fan asked the devs, “Do you have any update on Indian servers? The south Asian gamers are really tired of hype and want to have some real update that we can depend upon.”

To which, Riot dev ‘ZealousApathy’ replied, confirmed the news – Indian servers will be going live in Act 3, but will remain in the Asia Pacific shard.

“They’ll be online at the same time as Bahrain, but India will stay in the Asia Pacific shard,” the dev said.

This is undoubtedly amazing news for the South Asian Valorant player base since from now on, they’ll be receiving considerably lower latencies when playing compared to the South-East Asian servers.

WHAT’S NEW IN ACT 3?

COMPETITIVE CHANGES

The competitive game mode will undergo a number of changes most of which are aimed at improving the queues in the higher ranks.

1) The queue range for competitive matchmaking will be tightened from six tiers to three. This means that if you’re a Diamond 3 player, you’ll only be able to queue with players whose ranks range from Platinum 3 to Immortal 3. This change will hurt players who queue with friends having a large skill gap, but will result in a better matchmaking experience overall.

2) Players will be able to select their preferred servers before joining a queue. However, it can’t be guaranteed that players will always be matched in their preferred servers.

3) Immortal plus players’ ranks will be affected entirely based on their wins and losses instead of individual performance.

NEW AGENT

The next agent is an Australian named Skye. She has been voiced by a native Australian and packs a skillset filled with a utility that can easily turn the tides of a battle if used correctly. Her abilities include:

  • An AoE heal which can be used to heal her allies but not herself.
  • A drone that can be controlled remotely to gain vision and damage/stun enemies.
  • A bird that can be used to scout out areas and detonated at will to flash enemies looking at it.
  • An Ultimate which sends out three wolves to hunt down enemies, stunning them on impact.

Judging by her abilities, it’s obvious that Skye is set to be a support/initiator. All of her abilities excel in taking control of crucial parts of the maps and the AoE heal has a huge range.

Combine that with the controllable flashes and she can potentially be one of the best agents in the entire game.

Skye will be available to play from October 27th.

NEW MAP

As mentioned earlier, Icebox will be a snow-themed map that is located on a shipyard in Tundra. The map features two bomb sites and ziplines to help players move through certain sections faster. The map will arrive alongside Act 3 but won’t be available for competitive play until two weeks later. You can take the initial looks at the map from the trailer posted by Riot earlier:

BATTLE PASS AND THE ‘SINGULARITY’ COLLECTION

Act 3 will feature an all-new battle pass being added to the game with its release. The updated Battle Pass will feature a new rewards line for the players to obtain by leveling it up. The rewards will consist of exclusive items like skins, buddies, player cards, and can be upgraded to the premium version for even better rewards. Some of the skins from the Battle Pass that have been revealed include the Ruin Vandal, Ruin Shorty, and Ruin Dagger.

The Singularity collection will be an entirely new and separate skin collection that’ll be added to the game alongside Act 3. It will feature skins of Sherrif, Spectre, Phantom, Ares, and a melee.

The release of the Valorant Act 3 is drawing near, and the hype surrounding it continues to grow. The major Act 3 update is set to bring an array of changes to the competitive shooter, including a significant revamp of the competitive system, a new agent, a snow-themed map, the ‘Singuarity’ skins’ collection, an upgraded Battle Pass with a fresh rewards line, and new servers for the Middle East and North Africa.

While the new map named ‘Icebox’ will be added to the game alongside the release of Act 3, it won’t be available to play in competitive until October 27th. The upcoming agent Skye will also not be arriving before that date.

Act 3 Release Date and Release Time for India

Valorant Act 3 is scheduled to release across the world on October 13th, which is a just day away from now. However, the time of the release will be different for each region. For instance, the Asian Valorant servers will receive the Act 3 update much earlier than the other regions at 6 am PDT. So, if you play from India, the servers will go down at 2:30 am Wednesday (14th October) and the update is expected to go live around 5:30 – 6:00 AM, Indian Standard Time (IST).

Your Act ranks will be locked at the end of Act 2, which will be refreshed in Act 3. Chances are that you’ll be placed in a skill group a little lower than your current rank. If you play in North American servers, you’ll be able to queue for your last ranked game this Act till 4:30 AM Pacific Time. Games queued after that will count towards your next Act’s rank.

T1 Sign ‘DaZeD’ To Their Valorant Roster

Through a tweet on October 12th, T1 has announced the signing of Sam “DaZeD” Marine to their Valorant roster.

DaZeD is a retired CSGO pro who earned fame for himself while playing for teams like iBuyPower and Quantic Gaming. The 31-year-old has been banned from competitive CSGO by Valve alongside six others for being involved with the iBuyPower match-fixing scandal that took place in 2014.

Being a part of the T1 Valorant roster would enable DaZeD to play with his former iBuyPower teammate Braxton “brax” Pierce, who was also banned from CS due to the scandal. Soon after the release of Valorant, brax chose to pursue a career in competitive Valorant and became one of the best players in the entire game.

DaZeD has received a warm welcome to T1 by fans of the North American organization. The announcement was met with excitement from fans worldwide, who congratulated the player from the comments.

This news didn’t come exactly as a shock, though. Team Liquid star Jacky “Stewie2k” Yip had already hinted at the possibility of this happening in an ‘Among Us’ stream last month, where he said that brax couldn’t join them for Among Us because he might be in an “eleven hours deep” practice session with former teammate DaZeD.

The North American organization, 100 Thieves is going to pull out their team from CSGO. What’s the reason behind such a decision?

According to Nadeshot, Founder & CEO of 100T, the CSGO scene will become heavily Europe-centric due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, some players won’t be able to stay in North America anymore due to travel bans and visa issues.

100 Thieves started playing CS in 2017 after signing Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles, Henrique “HEN1” Teles, and Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe. After that, 100T missed ELEAGUE Major Boston due to immigration issues. Because of that, the whole lineup failed to appear in the tournament. Although 100T turned around in 2019 after signing the Renegades’ lineup, they struggled in 2020. They didn’t even appear in the top 10 rankings in 2020.

According to a report, Complexity is going to sign the current 100 Thieves star Justin “jks” Savage soon. JKS was not only the star player of 100T, but he was also the 15th best player in 2019.

The New CSGO operation may be nearer than you think

It has almost been a year since the last CSGO operation was introduced to the game in November 2019. The operation, known as Operation Shattered Wen, brought with it a heap of new features to the game, alongside four new skin collections.

It seems like some good news awaits the CSGO community once again, as the next operation may be arriving sooner than expected.

In the past, the operations have usually come after the devs wiped out the codes from previous updates, and as first reported by win.gg, that is happening once again right now.

Updates including translation and changes to item descriptions are ignored by the community but are generally followed by a major update. From September to November 2020, the steam.db page of CSGO shows several of these small updates being implemented to the game, which hints towards an Operation coming in the next few weeks.

Another possibility is that Valve has a major Haloween update planned for their shooter. While no official news has been revealed by them on this context, Valve has a history of organizing major Haloween events for their shooters CSGO and TF2.

Throughout the period of lockdown from the pandemic, Valve has continued to ship a stream of updates to CSGO, earning praise from fans worldwide. It has been a while since the last big update was shipped, though, furthering escalating the possibility of an oncoming operation in the next month.

A new event for miHoYo’s fantasy Role-Playing Game ‘Genshin Impact’ is just around the corner, and it seems to bring excitement to the fans of the game worldwide.

In only a few days of its release, Genshin Impact gained a surge in popularity due to its gorgeous graphics, unique gameplay, and a good plot accompanied by fitting music.

Through an announcement dated October 10th, miHoYo informed fans of the upcoming event which is set to start soon – the ‘Elemental Crucible’ co-op event.

In this event, players will have to “work together with other Travelers to shovel Elemental Clots into the Elemental Crucible to advance the alchemical process,” as the blog post stated. “After the alchemical transmutation is completed, consume Original Resin to receive bounties, including Character EXP materials, Adventure EXP, and more.“

The bounties will be calculated based on the world level of travelers. Some other rewards will include Primogems, Character Ascension materials, and more which can be obtained by completing achievements in the Alchemy Handbook.

How to Participate?

To participate in the event, players will have to reach a player level of 20, Complete all Quests in Prologue: Act II – For a Tomorrow Without Tears, and Complete Timaeus’s quest One Giant Step for Alchemy.

Details on how long will the event run haven’t been revealed by miHoYo as of yet.
