CSGO Star ‘Friberg’ Tests Positive For COVID-19

0

Swedish Counter-Strike legend Adam ‘Friberg’ Friberg has tested positive for coronavirus. The Dignitas star had complained of sickness and inability to sleep to his Twitter followers before confirming the fact on his handle.

The Swedish rifler stated that he had been sick for a week and that his test has come back positive.

The King of Banana will now be undergoing necessary precautions and medications to combat the virus and complete his recovery as soon as possible, with the 29-year-old already set to sit out the Elisa Invitational #2 for Dignitas.

The North American organization seems to have opted to play with Head Coach Halvor ‘vENdetta’ Gulestol for now, with the team currently a map down against Lyngsby Vikings in a best-of-3 matchup.

How to fix left hand bug in Valorant

0

1.11 update brings a nifty feature from CSGO to Valorant, the ability to switch between hands.

Having guns on either hands doesn’t translate to peekers advantage as many may assume, however, it only serves to lefties who find it pleasing to have the guns on their desired hand. It was an unexpected introduction but certainly a useful one.

To our misfortune, the update was far from ideal and a bug galore which forced Riot to roll back the update with a promise to redeploy with proper fixes by the end of the week.

Among several other glitches, being unable to switch out of left handed mode was one to stand out.

A fair few steps might be followed to get rid of the problem.

  • Go to Custom Game.
  • Enable Cheats, and chose an agent.
  • Open Settings.
  • Turn off the left hand mode setting in the new options screen.

Upon following these steps, players will find themselves not being bothered anymore by the left hand glitch. This fix won’t allow players to switch hands, not until the next update at least but it is better to wait than to play with an uncomfortable viewmodel.

Teammates of steel from 100 Thieves faced this issue and his tweet got enough hype to reach Riot. Glitches like this might seem like nitpicks but to professional players, they make a huge difference as minor inconveniences might cost them the match.

Riot has promised a fix by the end of the week, and we hope that they can deliver on it. As we are eagerly waiting to get our hands on the 1.11 fixed update and its flagship feature, the new agent Skye.

Apex Legends Gravity Lifts Locations (Artillery Battery / Fragment West)

As Apex Legends part ways with season 6 and with all the leak surrounding Season 7, the players can’t wait for November for the next season to kick in.

The new champion Horizon has established herself in the training grounds and is busy tasking players with her “Wee Experiment” mission. Players to go through the first mission are eligible for the second round of “A Wee Experiment” challenges where they activate the gravity lifts scattered around World’s Edge and Kings Canyon.

  • 10 damage while in midair
  • 10 knockdowns
  • Outlive 120 opponents

Each of the missions above allows players to use one of the three pieces of the gravity lift keycard when the others remain unusable till completion.

Gravity lift locations in Kings Canyon

  • Airbase, out in the open in the northern section of the landmark
  • Artillery Battery, in the north-most section, just outside of the indoor area
  • Artillery Battery, south of Artillery, near the small outside building
  • North Watchtower, at ground-level on the southeast side of the tower
  • Repulsor Station, Inside the wall at the west-most side
  • The Cage, just north of western side central cage building

Gravity life locations in World’s Edge

  • Fragment West, next to the multi-layer open building on the west side
  • Fragment West, southwest corner of the most northwest building
  • Refinery, inside the central part of the largest building
  • Skyhook, just south of the building with the respawn beacon
  • Sorting Factory, inside the central part of the biggest building
  • Train Yard, at ground-level, near where the replicator spawns when it’s present

Upon interacting with the gravity lifts they project a beacon upwards. The beam allows players to bounce upwards and get a quick overview of creeping enemies as well as to reach a high ground which gives a positional advantage to the players.

Cyberpunk 2077 Developers Receive Death Threats Over Release Delay

0

On October 27th, CD Projekt Red announced a delay in the release of the heavily anticipated action RPG Cyberpunk 2077. The release date was postponed by three weeks from November 19th to December 10th. This move has resulted in some hefty criticism from a part of the fanbase, but it appears like some people went a step further.

Previously, Cyberpunk 2077 was scheduled to be released in April 2020. The release was initially postponed till September, which was rescheduled once again to November.

While the repeated delays in the release date are certainly disappointing news for the fans, it can’t be a justification for the actions of what a certain group of people are using to express their discontent – sending death threats to the devs.

“I understand you’re feeling angry, disappointed and want to voice your opinion about it,” said Andrzej Zawadzki, Senior Game Designer at CD Projekt RED. “However, sending death threats to the developers is absolutely unacceptable and just wrong. We are people, just like you.”

Luckily, a good number of people are accepting the delay in the release and showing their support to the devs who are working hard in these tough times to live up to the fans’ expectations regarding the game.

“We all know it will be worth the wait no matter what. Take your time,” says theRadBrad, a gaming content creator on YouTube.

Apex Legends Olympus Map leaked; Photos Inside

Apex Legends Season 7 is right around the corner and Respawn added fuel to the fire with leaks suggesting a new map Olympus.

On October 27, the first teaser was dropped via Apex’s own Instagram, however, a famed data miner who goes by the name Biast12 dropped additional images. One of his images shows an overview of the whole map and the POIs.

These images are far from ideal, but they are certainly of the new map.

Olympus POI

  • Turbine
  • Orbital
  • Cannon Rift
  • Docks
  • Hammond Labs
  • Power Grid
  • Carrier
  • Oasis
  • Elysium
  • Hydroponics
  • Bonsai Plaza
  • Solar Array
  • Grow Towers
  • Gardens
  • Energy Depot
  • Estates

Season 7 launch trailer will drop on October 28, at 8:30 PM IST, and it is expected to give us a sneak peek at Olympus. New maps give a fresh feeling to competitive esports where players circulate between the same maps. However, it can’t be said whether the community will appreciate the map, at least not before it is actually introduced in the game. It is seen more often than not that a new map has undergone several changes before the player base accepts it.

Apex Legends Season 7 is set to release in November.

Valorant Patch 1.11 Delayed

0

Update – Valorant patch 1.11 is returning at 8:00 PT on November 02.

After things went south with the VALORANT 1.11 patch, Riot has announced new release dates for the update.

1.11 patch was supposed to bring massive changes to the VALORANT landscape and included the debut of a fresh map alongside a new agent, namely Skye. The latter was the major part of the hype, but all of it was swiftly washed away as the update itself was a bug galore.

“In 30 minutes, we’ll be rolling back the patch for North America, Brazil, and LATAM (one at a time). We’re also delaying all other regions until we get a fix. We know we’ve said this every patch, but thanks for sticking by. We’ll redeploy later in the week once we can figure out a less disruptive time for the VALORANT First Strike Qualifiers (and have a solution, obviously). If you started the Skye character contract, you won’t be able to progress until we patch again.” read their Tweet.

What Went Wrong?

Players faced performance issues, fps drops, and weird ones like a player’s screen getting flooded by the texture of Sage whenever they walked into Omen’s smoke. Stuttering while taking a gunfight was yet another persistent issue that remains unattended.

Riot rolling back the update was a rather easy solution, however, they have given their word to redeploy this update sometime later this week for players to enjoy Skye again. In the meantime, the character contract for Skye has been put to a halt and no progress will be noted unless the patch is redeployed.
